That collect all coins level with the hidden blocks was complete garbage. Never put hidden coins in a collect all coins level. It’s just not enjoyable.

It's highly enjoyable to watch Ryu lose his mind over these kinds of stages though
Agreed. If your gonna do that kind of level, either have them all in places were the player can easily see them or don't have it at all and just have a few extra in hidden places for like a reward for finding them. It's also a good idea to have a like reset door at the end so the player can go back and grab any he missed rather then force him/her to die

The "collect all coins" level is one of the worst I've ever seen. Never make levels you wouldn't enjoy yourself.

Nintendo needs to lock invisible blocks behind a requirement you have a decent amount of maker points/likes on your levels.

the coins are probably under the spike blocks near the big thwomp. it just screams fake out
I also imagined that probably just one or two of those spikes actually have hidden blocks under them. Just so that players have to try every single one and die multiple times trying as you can't jump low enough to not die there. But that's exactly what I expect with such hot garbage level design anyways.

That last level's ending seemed reminiscent of a trump jump. Maybe like a half trump jump. Like the Half Nelson. It prolly won't catch on though. I guess a Half Trump Jump is just a spike wall.

@@aaa34953 it was a jump in Mario maker 1 where you jumped between 2 spike walls in a 1 block space but it is nearly pixel perfect in Mario maker 2 because of the new spike hit boxes so they are rarely used in levels anymore

there are a couple of options i saw to check for coins. where the parachuting thwomp comes down if you jump as high as you can you can see something to the top left of the screen. also where the giant thwomp comes down and gets stuck under the one way you could try jumping into each of the spikes there. there is enough room that they could have coin blocks directly underneath the spikes figuring who would intentionally try jumping into spikes. if neither of those two places then i'm personally out of ideas off the top of my head.
Yep there were 9 under the spikes, just beat it. The other 1 Ryu was missing I think was by jumping off an edge with a low ceiling
I don’t think Ryu ever checked the part of the stage with spikes directly overhead for coins. It’s devious in that if there aren’t any you’re going to kill yourself via the spikes, but there is enough room under there for hidden blocks...

Clarification needed about the sponsor: TMNT are *paid skins* within Smite. They aren't even a direct purchase. The skins are unlocked by leveling a premium portion of the battle pass, that you have to pay for.
That clarification is NOT needed, as it's obvious.
This isn't new for the genre, or any recent game with a battle pass that offers crossover content. Fortnite's done the same in the past and currently with Star Wars / Marvel characters - not speaking for or against the content here, just saying that it's to be expected at this point.
The clarification IS needed because Ryu talked about fully playable characters, and that's not the case. You are not playing as Raphael, you're playing as Loki with a skin. You are not playing as Leonardo, you're playing as Osiris with a skin.
I'm not placing the blame on Ryu, at all. Hi-Rez, the company behind Smite has a long history of being shady as hell. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the gave Ryu a script to read that, conveniently, avoided the clarification.
This is just a heads-up for people that want to hop into the game in hopes to play as a TMNT character. That's it.

If you need that type of information spoon fed to you because you can't figure that out yourself that's YOUR fault, not Hi-Rez or Ryu's.

If you died after 4:07 you can see there is a contraption that means you can skip the red coins and just grab the kay from this room.
What most people don't realize is Nigel Kahr is the real Ryu once the camera is off and he goes back to his mansion with princess Tammy. Also I'm super excited for your Demon Souls playthrough especially since you never played it.

If i had to guess. Its the note block where you get a tramploline that lands on another trampoline. I think your supposed to go over it and hit the trampoline upwards so it lands on the note block and go up.
I tried that... No success... There are 9 in the runway beneath the spikes... I'm missing one... Can't find it...

my guess for the 100 coin level is that he hid them in the walkway under the spikes (close to hte big twomp). You jump up into the spikes only to be saved by an invisible block

The hidden coin level: the part with the spikes you'd hit unless an invisible block stopped you is very suspect.
My ad blocker recognized the Smite ad, but I guess it decided that was an ad I HAD to see.

4:18 I'm pretty sure that if you died you would just get the key and wouldn't have to collect the coins all over again. I actually haven't seen that setup in an actual level before
You don’t watch enough troll levels then, troll levels use it a lot to fake key death, or just make a 3rd cp or 4... or whatever ridiculous number they can figure out.
Actually, if you die after getting the key, it isn't saved and you have to re-do it (hence called a key-death), whereas if you die with red coins only you keep the ones you had when you hit the checkpoint. In this case it's irrelevant, since the coins were after the checkpoint, so he has to re-do it regardless. (Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't have the game just watch a decent amount).

@@yehoshuas.6917 That's how it is normally but the seetup on the left allows you to "store" memory after you die. With this settup if you have they key and you die the on off block will get activated and you won't have to do it again. Ceave gaming made a great video explaining how it works. That channel is actually really great in general and I recommend you check it out

Actually, in the first level, if you die after collecting the last red coin, keydeath ceavegaming shenanigans would happen so you wouldn't have to play the red coins room again. That is why the description of the level says "3 cp", collecting the last red coin acts as a new cp

On the first level, if you died after the key door once you were sent back to the CP you'd be given a key by the switch status turning red instead of blue, so it wouldn't have been too bad. FYI!

One of my friend made a level that IS possible but is extremely hard because there are few checkpoints and a lot of hard jumps, and he hasn't even completed the level himself yet, and I told him that when he is able to do the level and post it he should let Ryu try it out.
