oh, you’re not alone! a friend and i have been working for actual YEARS to beat her copy of Ratatouille on the PS2. those games were ridiculously hard for no good reason.
@@gracekim1998 actually, older games like this often do end up being just as hard as i remember! we still haven’t beaten the ratatouille game i mentioned in my original comment

@@porcupiney Gosh, reading your comment sent me back to my childhood. I remember the sliding levels giving me such a hard time. Along with those darn dream levels. I hope you get the chance to finish it soon, it's a great game! :D
i'm reminded of when i was like 14 i saw a pokemon game and thought "oh cool, they made games of that show?" and to this day i still don't know why, at that age, after growing up in the wii and ds era, i wasn't aware that, if it actually WAS a tie-in game, it would've been shit. luckily, the game came first and i just had no idea, but like. i'm still baffled by that decision to this day. it was $60, i shouldn't have been willing to spend that much on a tv show tie-in game lol
I had a really similar experience as a kid with Sonic the Hedgehog, who I was only familiar with from the cartoon that aired on Toon Disney. Pleasantly surprised he was also in video games, haha
I spent so much time in the sandbox instead of playing through the story. I remember being disappointed when I was gifted it as a kid but it was SO fun
Omg I have such weird nostalgia for that My special ed teacher wanted to turn on toy story for us since we didn’t have anything to do, but she put on a youtube video of the toy story 3 game gameplay, and when I tried to tell them that it was GAMEPLAY and not the movie they were all like “no, it’s the movie”. I got so frustrated and it kind of ruined my love for toy story as a 3rd grader. Tbh she really baby’d us.
Yes!!! My brother and I had it for the Wii and we made up a game where we would go to the daycare and fight over Bullseye, because he was the only one who could jump high enough to get on the armchair, and then we would get on the chair and essentially brag about being on the chair until we got too cocky and fell off
There was something special about the days of all the licensed games. Not all were that good but it was an interesting time. I definitely played a good bit of them i remember one of the fairly odd parents game for gamecube being pretty good. The Madagascar game is actually so damn good to this day it has some great music too
Ever try Madagascar Karts? It's like Mario Kart with Dreamworks characters. And "I like to Move it" is playing on the title screen. And yes, BOB and Shrek are playable characters, too. I've had it since I was a kid. It's just so wacky. And broken controls aside, it's pretty fun. Definitely recommend checking it out lol
My brother and I will forever treasure our memories of Madagascar for GameCube. The Tiki Minigolf game was absolutely iconic - we still quote “Tweet tweet, it’s a birdie” and “Eek! It’s the bogey man” to this day. Also, Madagascar: Operation Penguin for GBA is so underrated.
Dude, the Narnia games went so hard for no reason. I had the PS2 version of the lion the witch and the wardrobe, and I was obsessed with it. All the siblings fought alongside you as AI and you could do team up attacks where like Lucy sits on Edwin's shoulders and punches people in the head. I would constantly beg my older siblings to play with me, but they didn't like it as much... My favorite Spongebob game is also a CD Rom point and click adventure! I had battle for bikini bottom, but Employee of the Month on PC is just really fun and immersive and has so many little secrets and things to explore. I remember renting Revenge of the Flying Dutchman from Blockbuster and being way too young to understand what to do, so I just wandered around confused as Spongebob used a dowsing rod for reasons I could not comprehend.
I remember the Flushed Away game was very good. It was a platformer, yes, but it got you SO immersed into the world that felt like an extension from the one in the movie. Like a world you wanted to know more of so the game let you snoop through all the nooks and crannies of it with different missions to do as an excuse. plus the gameplay was awesome and Roddy and Rita both had different gameplay and combat styles.
This brings back memories of playing these kind of games as a kid. The really terrible A Series of Unfortunate Events and the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory GBA games come to mind lol
I remember downloading the ASOUE game on a GBA emulator on my phone a while back. Maybe I would've had a better time playing it on an actual GBA if I had one, but I never got past Uncle Monty's house bc it was so hard to control on a touchscreen XD
ngl I've been having some pretty bad anxiety flare-ups lately, so hearing Dream Jelly's soothing voice is a huge help for me rn. and yes I agree, the amount of TV and Movies adapted into video games is just plain egregious.
the narnia game just unlocked memories i didn't know i had and im glad you mentioned the difficulty. i never got past the 1st level of narnia. same with a foster's home for imaginary friends gba game lmao
Over The Hedge for DS was great! I remember it taking quite a few years to complete, since it was a game I'd always re-explore during times when I had gotten bored of other games. Its really fun, and a bit tricky. Just tricky enough to be a good challenge. The storyline is a bit different from the actual movie, and the controls are actually good, too.
I still have my copy of Over the Hedge for the og Xbox. I remember trying to 100% every level and I can remember most of them all off by heart. I actually played the game before I watched the movie, but it turned out to be one of my favourite DreamWorks movies too :)
Love how big your channel is getting despite such niche videos! Suggestion for a theme: Aquapets! One of the many "virtual pets" from the 2000s but with an aquatic twist. Btw your voice is calming, relaxing and great to fall asleep to - don't take it the wrong way, but after watching something like a horror movie or true crime documentary, it's calming to watch these videos and go to a comfortable, peaceful and nostalgic place.
all of the spongebob gba games were such a big fav, the movie one was peak imo. i also played the monster house gba game. along with muppets party cruise for the gamecube. also the bubbles powerpuff girls game for gbc. HUGE SHOUTOUT TO GAME BOY ADVANCE VIDEO FOR BEING MY WAY TO WATCH THINGS IN CAR TRIPS SINCE NO PORTABLE DVD PLAYER BACK IN THE DAY LOL
OH MY GOD! I haven't thought about the that's so raven GBA game in so long, thank you dream jelly for unlocking yet another core memory of mine, especially the battle with the zoo monkey lol
Just seeing it in the thumbnail threw me back to when my grandmother found an old game boy left in a parking lot and gave it to me, all it had in it was that game and I had 0 idea what the show was about, I just remember that game kept me entertained for hours
Bratz: Rock Angelz for the GBA is one of the games I’m most nostalgic for from my childhood honestly 😭 I had the Penguins of Madagascar GBA game and Teen Titans (and I also felt those were unbeatable) but Rock Angelz is iconic in my head even though I never had the GameCube version
Even though most were considered shovelware, some were hidden gems that had effort put into them. We all know about Spiderman 2 on the consoles, however if there's one that I highly recommend playing is the first Transformers movie games on the DS (especially the Decepticons version).
I remember playing a Kim Possible Game for the DS and it was so much fun. Even though it was (like a lot of other movie games) a Jump and Run Game, it fit so well with Kim Possible as you're playing Kim on a mission. 😊❤
There’s something special about buying a game for an old system you still have. Back in 2020 I went on eBay and got a GBA game I used to have but lost in a move. It was so much fun to revisit. ☺️
Glad I wasn't the only one who always felt like these games were way too hard or unbeatable... Anyway, one licensed movie game I thought was actually good was the Legend of the Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'hoole game. It was on a few different platforms but I had it on Wii (and DS but that version was so different and worse that it felt like an entirely different game). My favorite part was that after beating all the missions on a certain map you earned the option to free roam with those good-feeling flight mechanics, play minigames, beat high scores, and unlock concept art in the gallery by finding it hidden in the free roam mode. You could even choose which species of owl you play as, and the stats vary accordingly. The plot even ties itself into the story of the movie without being a straight adaptation of it- it focuses on a different main character, Shard, and the main villain of the game is a minor antagonist in the movie, so basically they're happening concurrently. And the soundtrack is pretty good, too. Would recommend, honestly!
disney extreme skate adventure is, to this day, still one of my favorite games of all time. the soundtrack is genuinely so good and shaped my music taste as a kid, the customization was actually pretty in-depth for a random 2000s tie-in game, and while the mechanics were a straight ripoff of tony hawk, the level designs were super fun. my brother and i rented it every week until my mom found a used copy for sale at gamestop and i was definitely way too excited about that, lol. i'd love to see another video about some of the tie-in MMOs of the time. fusionfall is another one of my favorites and i'm still so impressed by just how huge the scope of that was.
In my local game store there's a Hannah Montana ds game that's been sitting there since I was a kid. It's gotten so many price cuts that it's now going for about 70 cents and yet it's still always there. I've considered buying it but I really don't know what I would do with it other than try to resale it 😂.
Disney Channel All Star Party was a crossover style Disney game on the Wii. That's the closest I've ever seen to that. I believe it crossed over Hannah Montana, Sonny with a Chance, Camp Rock, Phineas and Ferb and Wizards of Waverly Place. You could also put your mii characters into it. It was pretty fun. I still have my copy, actually.
I remember when I was really young, I had this Stuart Little game that I absolutely COULD NOT figure out what you were even supposed to do. It took place in this weird purple warehouse/factory and didn’t follow a single plot point from the movies that I can remember. It feels like a fever dream it was so weird
I loved playing James Cameron's Avatar on my DS back in the day. I was really shocked that it wasn't a rip off of the characters and plot of the movie and I genuinely liked parts of it. It definitely has its problems, but it was unique and made me love the series more :) Same with the Narnia DS game for Prince Caspian. There was a surprising amount of effort out into it, even if the plot was the same as the movie.
Even as a kid, I never understood why they make video games based off live action kids shows from Disney! The Nickelodeon games like SpongeBob and Fairly Oddparents were actually good, because the game designers understood the characters. My cousin had lot of GBA and PS2 Nicktoon games. I played them over at my cousin’s house! Who even makes That’s So Raven, Hannah Montana, and High School Musical! Those are cash grab games and were made for store merchandising deals with Target and Walmart! Good thing these licensed video games are no longer being made based on kid shows!
What a delight. To this day, the Ratatouille game for ps2 is one of my favorites! On the other hand, once as a birthday prank, we got the cashier at GameStop to put High School Musical 2 for the xbox 360 in a Titanfall 2 case and gave it to my brother who was so excited to play Titanfall. He did thoroughly play HSM2 in spite of his fury though.
Happy birthday! One movie game I really like is the monsters vs aliens Wii game. The 3 playable characters each have their own style of level and it uses the plot points of the movie while adding in new scenarios as well. I specifically remember not knowing how to beat the third level as a kid and throwing the Wii remote at the tv in anger and breaking it.
Your videos always feel like having the type of conversation that starts with "hey, remember when...?" I always find myself chuckling along with you while I watch. Much love!
I'd like to take a moment to shout out the Blue's Clues CD Rom games! I played Blue's Treasure Hunt for countless hours as a kid! Humungous Games seemed to put a lot of effort into making the games and respect to Steve for coming in and filming all that idle standing for when we are clicking around!
Family Dog was an animated sitcom that ran from June 23 1993 to July 28 1993 on CBS. It had a game for the Super Nintendo. Purina the pet food company distributed an Atari 2600 game 'Chase the Chuck Wagon' where you sent in proof of purchases to acquire it. 15 years from now, Generation Alpha adults will be talking about all the nostalgic Ryan's World video games they grew up with. This is a somewhat timeless issue and interesting to see your perspective on it. I cannot wait for Ryan's World Soulslike.
Personally some of the best liscensed games I've ever played were all on the DS. My favorites being the Tinkerbell DS games and Phineas and Ferb Ride Again. The Phineas and Ferb game was actually my first introduction to a proper boss battle, as you fight Doof as Perry after each section with the boys. Though I admit I've never actually finished that one, as it was a bit difficult for a 7 year old, and I didn't really understand boss fights at that age. The Tinkerbell games let you create your own fairies and decorate your own little fairy house too, and that's what made them fun. They don't really have a ton of replayability but they did create a little completionist with all the different clothes and decorations you could craft and obtain.
Once again you have unlocked multiple core memories. I was obsessed with the Narnia game as a kid although i never got super far. Like you, i was just happy to be in the world.
i remember playing the jonas brothers nintendo ds game and there was this one part that i was NEVER able to beat that was literally just trying to run/jump through a puddle in the mall 💀 i rage quit that game and never went back to it
when i was a kid, i loved the victorious ds game. i didn't have cable growing up, so that game was my version of watching the show since (from what i can remember) most of it was various minigames integrated into plotpoints of some of the episodes. p sure there was one where you had to make the zombie mask that gets stuck on tori's face. a lot of rhythm minigames, too.
Oh man, as a kid about age 9 or so I got really into gaming magazines, I think before RUclips was even a thing, and they taught me that licensed movie games were Bad. I completely ignored that opinion when I got obsessed with Over The Hedge, though. Nowadays, I WISH we still had these things. I'd take them over the same ol' connect-4, city builders and endless runners on phones. Even if most of them are beat-em-ups or platformers... trends gonna trend! Just the aesthetic of these games gives me a massive nostalgic boot to the head even if I didn't play these, so this video is delightful all around!
Listen, most movie video games are hot garbage, but I still adore the Bolt, Ratatouille, and Over the Hedge video games. Those games took their source material and elevated it! In Bolt you play through episode of Bolt's super-dog tv show mentioned in the movie, and the Over the Hedge game is basically a full-on sequel, picking up where the film ends. Ratatouille happens "during" the events of the movie, but exploring the movie's settings from the pov of a rat is very fun and terrifying. The rats also made a little garbage city hubworld that's super cute, and Remy has extremely creative food-themed dream worlds that are fairly difficult platforming challenges. These three games made up the majority of my PS2 play-time in my childhood lol
I used to own so many liscensed games on my DS. I visually remember having completed the entirety of my dora the explorer game where she was a mermaid. I also still own my really old Rio game, which was also a basic platformer.
I had a strange fixation on the Surf's Up PS2 game...spent so many hours making penguins surf that I got weirdly good at the game. Beating previous high scores always gave me insane dopamine
I had a Suite Life of Zack and Cody game for my Gameboy. I just remember being really bad at it, and I didn't know saving was a feature so I would restart it everytime I played
I have vivid memories of the Stuart Little game and that one was actually really fun. I remember having a Lion King one and a Land Before Time one too.
Flashing back to the Cave of Wonders in the Game Gear version of Aladdin and how I literally couldn’t get through a tiny space, thus leaving the game alone for like 4 years before eventually figuring out that weird long slide move and finally completing the damn thing.
7:58 there was also HSM: Makin' the Cut for the DS! it came out a little bit before the wii games. i wouldn't say it was a *good* rhythm game, but i have good memories of it and i'm pretty sure i still have my copy of it somewhere
But the thing abt that game was that it was so cheap THEY DIDN’T EVEN USE THE REAL SOUNDTRACK all the songs were really terrible covers of them but the game was still fun
happy 24th birthday dream jelly! the main movie game I remember playing when I was little was the How To Train Your Dragon one for the PS3. It was actually pretty good, though I didn't actually complete it then - I put it on my wii last summer and finished it then.
There’s a used game store where I live and every time I go in to see what they have the fella working behind the counter goes “what are you looking for today? Mary Kate and Ashley for the gameboy?”
Happy birthday, Dream Jelly! I had no idea that you were the same age as me! (well, for another month anyways, I turn 25 next month) I loved Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban as a child. It's a turn based RPG on the GBA where you get to fight Harry Potter monsters and stuff. Feels alot like a Final Fantasy game
Oh man, this brought back memories of this one game me and my brother played as a kid. I don’t remember the title, but I remember it was some phineas and ferb game that had you pulling character outfits out of a claw machine or something? And there was this like jello monster boss battle? I remember this game so distinctly, I had completely forgotten about it.
I remember having the Madagascar game on the original Xbox and loving it so much. It was like the only game I had for the console. My friend had the Eragon game and we went back to it a few years ago and that one didn't age the greatest.....
I’ll have to admit the soundtrack in Bratz Rock Angelz GBA is really good. Love the bass in it. I also enjoyed playing the Tinker Bell DS game. There’s a lot of stuff to do in that game!
Yeeeessss Izzyizz and Dream Jelly uploads in the same day!!!! SQWEEEEEA :3 I'm such a happy panda. Only if I had a new Polygon Donut video. Lolololol I don't think game developers cared to watch the original films. XD and your a real gamer for realizez
This video made me remember the Dora the Explorer: Super Spies game for the GBA that I played as a small child… literally THE HARDEST GAME I’ve ever played. Admittedly the last time I played it I couldn’t have been older than 5 or 6 years old, but still… I don’t recall there being any way to save your progress in that game, unless you had a specific code to bring you back to later levels. And in those days before I had access to the internet to just look up the password, I remember repeating a whole lot of that game multiple times. 🙃
The Disney Princess game was the exact same way, ridiculously hard and you had to use passwords to maintain your progress 💀 I’m pretty nostalgic but I definitely don’t miss that!
There actually was a Disney Channel crossover party game on Wii! I did not own it myself (my friend at the time had a copy), so I think I only played it once, but it does exist. I remember Phineas and Ferb was the only animated show to be represented. Until I entered my preteen years I almost exclusively played licensed games regardless of their quality. I don't look back on most of them fondly, but some of them I do, particularly from Barbie, Bratz, and Winnie the Pooh. Nowadays, licensed games are so much different. No longer are they churned out for a quick buck. Developers now put more effort into games based on existing IPs, and players expect more out of them as well.
I PLAYED A TON OF MOVIE AND TV SHOW BASED DS GAMES WHEN I WAS A KID (some of them were rly bad but many of them were rly fun to me as a child and I still occasionally play those old games from my childhood sometimes for nostalgia cuz I still play ds regularly) like I had this tinkerbell ds game that was kinda like animal crossing cuz u were a fairy and u could do quests for all the tinkerbell characters to prepare for the seasons that I LOVED as an 8 year old! And u could buy and design clothes and collect items like animal crossing! I also used to love this monster high game that u could create ur own ghoul and u went to monster high school and u could go to classes and play minigames and u had a locker and everything!
Posted 1 minute ago, wow! This is the earliest I've ever been! Your videos keep me engaged the whole time and are always on interesting topics. Keep up the awesome work!
I remember when I was a kid I realized that there were so many games on the Wii that were based off of Movies and TV game shows and they were either mid or very mediocre XD.
I think the only REALLY good game based on a show that I can remember is a "Barnyard" PC game. It was really fun and exciting to play, the developers really did put an effort in that game
I remember being 10 years old around the time a lot of those Disney GBA and DS games were coming out, and having a neighbor half my age asking me for help with her Zach and Cody video game. It was somewhat of a Zelda clone with a top down view and she was asking me why she kept running into walls lol
I’ve only had like two games based on shows and movies, one was some icarly wii game I played once and never touched again and one was madagascar on ds which I remember actually enjoying
I apparently had iCarly for Wii but had literally NEVER played it until 2020, when I went through a phase of playing all our old games. It was kinda neat.
The Narnia Gameboy game was my childhood! But I totally agree with these games being super hard. I never completed Narnia as much as I played it. The level where Edmund was stuck in the White Witch's prison was literally impossible to get through
Oh dude I LOVED the CD-ROM Spongebob Movie game! The part where they get to the... bone desert? Always freaked me the heck out as a kid but I ate it up, I replayed that game so many times LMHO. Come to think of it, I think I still have it stored away somewhere. Also, I know you mentioned the Bratz Rock Angelz GameBoy game being mediocre, but I really enjoyed the GameCube / PS2 version. It had a lot more gameplay, and 3D graphics that were surprisingly not terrible for the time? It was a little weird but kinda cool.
oh my god, that part in the spongebob movie game was literally where i got stuck as a kid. i think i was half creeped out by it, and half totally confused on what to do.
One of mine and my sister’s absolute favorite games as kids was the Shrek 2 game for the GameCube. We played endless hours of it, and would fight over who got to be the best characters (obviously puss in boots when he was in a level, he could tightrope walk, and that was clearly the coolest thing ever) like to the point that I remember going up to the GameCube and unplugging my sister’s controller so I could switch over 😂 but it definitely fell into the whole “weirdly difficult game” thing, like to the point that even when people like my dad or uncles tried to help us with some of the “hero time” final challenges of the levels, they would have a hard time too. I was actually talking to my sister recently about how crazy it was that the final challenge for like the second level in the game was the weird flying dragon thing where the controls were basically inverted and you had to go against your instincts. Like. Level 2!!!! Out of at least 10 or something!!! But we were dedicated, and even if it took some grown up help, we did eventually make it to the end of the game, which was something we rarely accomplished in most of the games we had. The level of detail and sheer number of characters and settings in that game were just incredible. (Even if the addition of Little Red Riding Hood or a random fairy as playable characters felt confusing. that didn’t stop us from fighting over who got to play the fairy) Really a game where you can tell they bothered putting effort into it and not just slapping shrek’s face on a pre existing model for a platformer.
the second i saw footage of the spider-man ps1 game my jaw dropped. it’s my favorite game of all time but whenever i bring it up nobody knows what i’m talking about
There's another That's So Raven game that I liked for the DS: Psychic on the Scene. There was a good fashion element where you could completely design your own outfit and the quests were fun. You would get have to act in a disguise or search a room for clues and it was funny and had different mini games too. I still have it. I also played the Suite Life DS game and it wasn't as good and I got very frustrated at the very end at could never beat the final robot bosses :/
The happy feet movie game on the ds had me, it was simple yet catchy as I was in love with the movie and music. Maybe not the best game in high site, but I remember I played the heck out of it!
✨ A fun topic to talk about would be computer cd rom games from the 2000s. Like the McDonalds Fairy vs Dragons cd games from 2008 (who remembers that?) ✨
Plug n Plays were my main bitch growing up. The Hannah Montana plug n plays were actually pretty fun. Especially the one with multiple mini games including helping Miley find an outfit using a memory feature and Lily's skateboarding game. I remember having to rage quit a few times but separate problem. I did play the High School Musical 2 ds game which did follow the plot of the movie mostly and I remember liking it enough. The Victorious ds game wasn't bad, either. At least from my memory.
the implication anyone can know anything about high school musical and know the second movie is better almost made me bust a (literal) stitch. i will say for some reason as a kid i REALLY cared about scooby-doo games, and i was hugely into ecco the dolphin, which... somehow lead me to think the shamu ps2 game would be good? it wasn't Bad but... it also wasn't good, making it a criminally mediocre game about a famous whale i knew next to nothing about, aside from the fact that the game promised to let me free said whale from captivity. fascinating stuff. great video as always (and i'd love to hear your opinion on HSM3)
It was Yet Another Platformer, but I remember being pleasantly surprised when I played Barbie: Secret Agent, which we only got because it was like $5-10 when most GBA games were like $30, and I had a budget of $40 from my mom, or something like that. I guess because Barbie didn't have a solid lore or anything, that meant any kid friendly secret agent tropes could be used and not feel too out of place, and as an adult I found it again and best the entire thing in like an hour or two, but as a kid I had much worse coordination and it kept me occupied on road trips etc.
These games may not have been great, but they were iconic.
Totally!
Yea!
Boi, I know you ain’t disgracing the Pipeworks Godzilla Trilogy and Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis like that.
(Lol)
Battle for bikini bottom is amazing though
>iconic

Yes!!! The ASOUE game was so fun, and I got a free movie ticket with the game lol
I didn't get past the first stage of Narnia either! I barely even remember playing it outside of the frustration 😅
Oh yeah! You unlocked a memory for me. I did actually play this!
Over the Hedge GBA is such an underrated gem
Batman Begins & X-Men Origins are some of my favorites.
I remember playing a Kim Possible Game for the DS and it was so much fun. Even though it was (like a lot of other movie games) a Jump and Run Game, it fit so well with Kim Possible as you're playing Kim on a mission. 😊❤
Oh! I had that one too! I'd never even seen Kim Possible, but I loved that game :D
Cars and Ratatouille had so little to do with the movies, but that didn't stop me from playing them over and over
I bought Battle for Bikini bottom for my PS2 (yes I still have it lol) last year, and still loved it just as much as when I was a kid
I’m so glad someone else remembered and enjoyed this game.
I LOVED THE GUARDIANS OF GA'HOOLE GAME. Came to the comments to see if anyone mentioned it, I played that game so often.
that movie was crazy
disney extreme skate adventure is, to this day, still one of my favorite games of all time. the soundtrack is genuinely so good and shaped my music taste as a kid, the customization was actually pretty in-depth for a random 2000s tie-in game, and while the mechanics were a straight ripoff of tony hawk, the level designs were super fun. my brother and i rented it every week until my mom found a used copy for sale at gamestop and i was definitely way too excited about that, lol. i'd love to see another video about some of the tie-in MMOs of the time. fusionfall is another one of my favorites and i'm still so impressed by just how huge the scope of that was.
Omg yes so many memories of this game as a kid. I still think of it every time I hear one of the songs that was on the soundtrack
It definitely has its problems, but it was unique and made me love the series more :)
Same with the Narnia DS game for Prince Caspian.
I was obsessed with that Bratz Rock Angels game, my sister always had to help me with it !!
He did thoroughly play HSM2 in spite of his fury though.
the bratz rock angelz game for the gamecube is different and it is also one of the best games made of all time. it's genuinely SO fun
Happy Birthday!!! 🎉
I never played any of these, but I had a rush of nostalgia remembering all of the commercials for these types of games.
Always great to see a new video from you! So sorry to hear you're in America though...
Humungous Games seemed to put a lot of effort into making the games and respect to Steve for coming in and filming all that idle standing for when we are clicking around!
there was a HSM2 DS Rhythm game called "Work this Out!" that had different mini games based on jobs around the country club!
They don't really have a ton of replayability but they did create a little completionist with all the different clothes and decorations you could craft and obtain.
dude a youtube channel dedicated to early 2000’s nostalgia? sign me tf up.
happy birthday!!! love your content so much!!
Once again you have unlocked multiple core memories. I was obsessed with the Narnia game as a kid although i never got super far. Like you, i was just happy to be in the world.
I loooveeee the way you edit a kid version of yourself watching tv in the living room, it just works so well to put you back in time
i remember playing the jonas brothers nintendo ds game and there was this one part that i was NEVER able to beat that was literally just trying to run/jump through a puddle in the mall 💀 i rage quit that game and never went back to it
There’s a JONAS BROTHERS DS GAME????
@@dreamyjellies YESSSS it was based on their disney tv show it’s literally just called “Jonas”!!!
when i was a kid, i loved the victorious ds game. i didn't have cable growing up, so that game was my version of watching the show since (from what i can remember) most of it was various minigames integrated into plotpoints of some of the episodes. p sure there was one where you had to make the zombie mask that gets stuck on tori's face. a lot of rhythm minigames, too.
I love your videos so much my favorite part is the end when you have a thank you dance to go with the theme of the video.
Omg it's our champ Dream Jelly back again ^-^
The Spider-Man GBA title was my first experience with strange portable versions of games.
This channel is so much fun.
I have vivid memories of the Stuart Little game and that one was actually really fun. I remember having a Lion King one and a Land Before Time one too.
NEW DREAM JELLY VIDEO ! LIFE IS GOOD !
Same I loved that gameeeee
(well, for another month anyways, I turn 25 next month)
I loved Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban as a child.
I love your videos! You should make one about the rise and fall of tablet games like cut the rope, where's my water, etc. in the 2010s! 😆
"ooo... I need an SOS" 😭 your text jokes always have me dying! I have a Jonas (tv show) DS game and I found it so confusing I had to give up..
YAY Dream Jelly is back! ❤
Yeeeessss Izzyizz and Dream Jelly uploads in the same day!!!! SQWEEEEEA :3
I'm such a happy panda.
@@SnailSnail622 I forgot about the Disney Princess game!! I had that one too, I remember finding it really hard, especially the Jasmine levels.
Its honestly sad that movie games now are either mobile games or pure shovelware now
There actually was a Disney Channel crossover party game on Wii!
Also Happy Birthday dream! 🎉🎉🎉
Happy birthday!!
That SpongeBob the movie game was so hard for no reason lmao.. I’d be playing 1 level all day as a kid
Adults can even struggle. I had the luxury of watching it a lot in my childhood. So when I played it I beat it in a weekend.
Funny how a video about licensed games pops up in my feed right as I’m playing Cars 3 Driven To Win
Happy birthday!
that’s so raven was absolutely fire, it was also my favorite show when i moved from sendai (?) japan to detroit
happy birthday dream jelly!
I remember when I was a kid I realized that there were so many games on the Wii that were based off of Movies and TV game shows and they were either mid or very mediocre XD.
I think the only REALLY good game based on a show that I can remember is a "Barnyard" PC game. It was really fun and exciting to play, the developers really did put an effort in that game
happy birthday, dream!! 🥳🎉🎂
Happy B-Day! Your videos are way too underrated for their quality.
Happy 24th birthday!!!
Im glad i discovered this channel
Happy birthday Dream Jelly! :)
(Even if the addition of Little Red Riding Hood or a random fairy as playable characters felt confusing. that didn’t stop us from fighting over who got to play the fairy) Really a game where you can tell they bothered putting effort into it and not just slapping shrek’s face on a pre existing model for a platformer.
the second i saw footage of the spider-man ps1 game my jaw dropped. it’s my favorite game of all time but whenever i bring it up nobody knows what i’m talking about
Happy B-Day :)
Like the McDonalds Fairy vs Dragons cd games from 2008 (who remembers that?) ✨
I wished there was a Inside Out game that was like one of those 2000s movie tie-in platformer games.
I mean technically there is, the disney Infinity playset was basically just a platformer
@@sabis6111 Today I learned that this is a thing, and now I'm happy!
Another amazing dream jelly video let’s gooo
Plug n Plays were my main bitch growing up. The Hannah Montana plug n plays were actually pretty fun. Especially the one with multiple mini games including helping Miley find an outfit using a memory feature and Lily's skateboarding game. I remember having to rage quit a few times but separate problem. I did play the High School Musical 2 ds game which did follow the plot of the movie mostly and I remember liking it enough. The Victorious ds game wasn't bad, either. At least from my memory.
I loved some of the games on the spongebob one.
the implication anyone can know anything about high school musical and know the second movie is better almost made me bust a (literal) stitch. i will say for some reason as a kid i REALLY cared about scooby-doo games, and i was hugely into ecco the dolphin, which... somehow lead me to think the shamu ps2 game would be good? it wasn't Bad but... it also wasn't good, making it a criminally mediocre game about a famous whale i knew next to nothing about, aside from the fact that the game promised to let me free said whale from captivity. fascinating stuff. great video as always (and i'd love to hear your opinion on HSM3)
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY
It was Yet Another Platformer, but I remember being pleasantly surprised when I played Barbie: Secret Agent, which we only got because it was like $5-10 when most GBA games were like $30, and I had a budget of $40 from my mom, or something like that. I guess because Barbie didn't have a solid lore or anything, that meant any kid friendly secret agent tropes could be used and not feel too out of place, and as an adult I found it again and best the entire thing in like an hour or two, but as a kid I had much worse coordination and it kept me occupied on road trips etc.
