She had to pick the one that is weaker against your starter...
If she picked a stronger one, the new student will die easily and feel very down.
She is helping the new player learn the basics so obv she had to pick a weaker starter so as to encourage the new student and boost their morale.
@@Theomatik my man wouldn't die lol, he could just lose. And besides, most starters have tackle as their first move so they wouldn't die right away because there wouldn't be a super effective move

@@wink4382 i mean thats fun and all but i get bored pretty easily with just spamming A button and 2 shotting all the AI trainers. I like having to strategize. The Drayano remakes are what i revisit more than their original counterparts.
@Matt Cardinal makes sense, tbh during some battles in violet I actually had to sit up and try for the first time ina a while so that was fun

The grass starter is always the weakest starter, so they always make it the cutest so there’s any reason at all to pick it
All I want is a adult Pokemon game. I'm tired of all the happy, smiley faces from the characters. I want something dark. Thats why Pokemon Colosseum is my favorite of the series. The Pokemon are properly scaled. The animations make them feel alive. The camera moves around while in battle. The music is AMAZING!

Why is dark considered "adult"? I've seen enough in my life. There's enough problems in the world. Why would I want a dark and brooding Pokemon game?
That goes against everything the franchise has stood for in 30 years.

The phone has a Pokémon called rotom inside of it. That’s why it’s called a rotom phone. The rotom saves your character whenever you fall off a high place
So it spoils me because these my favorite or maybe the best professor design in franchise actually couple

The graphics are decent during the battles, but during exploration...MOTHER OF GOD. These are straight up N64 graphics
Nah, not even remotely close. Maybe Wii graphics, but even that's probably a stretch.
This looks like a poorly optimized Wii U game during exploration. The Switch is super outdated at this point, and Game Freak is pushing out too many games.
With a more powerful system or better optimization, this game would look 100% fine.

@@luckluca8982 you know ditto doesn't appear in the overworld anymore right? Its disguised as other pokemon so getting a female starter is faster in that regard. Edit: Also ditto appears at the earliest at lvl 23 so you need a few badges before the game lets you catch one.

How fast are you playing this game?
Not as fast as others. Which is a good or bad thing depending on your point of view. Exp grinding which could have easily added a few hours on top of this has been cut out.
I really hope in game we can turn off that crystal song. I really like the gym battle music and it's annoying that this song has to take that away at the end.
I love pokémon violet and scarlet and I also like omega ruby (omega ruby is a fanmade version of pokémon ruby) I love pokemon sword and shield I have nearly beaten shield and I dont have sword then legends arceus is like like in a old Town.

this game is already great and miles better than sword and sheild, but if tpci and nintendo gave game freak more time to polish things it could have been so much better. the 3-4 year deadline for each mainline game is most likely to blame for the performance they had to sacrifice in favor of everything else. the graphics could use a bit of work as well, it's nice while battling but wouldn't look out of place on an xbox 360 while exploring.
this is a pretty fun game and is only surpassed by legends arceus in my book, though i'm likely biased. it's shortcomings are a dealbreaker to some and they're honestly justified in not liking it, but in my opinion the open world gameplay and story is a big step in the right direction and i'm hopeful for what may come out in the future

Man I spent 8 hours enjoying your playthrough and then suddenly Tauros is out. Tauros that won you many battles.... And out of nowhere a Gyarados and a Gastrodon on your team. I'm sad now. 😔
Had no fun watching the Elite four battle. You did Tauros dirty! And substituting it for a Gyarados that everybody and their momma uses on their walkthrough 😪

Honestly my biggest complaint is the mechanics, legends arceus introduce a newer way to play pokemon and this just felt like a step back, they should have used legends arceus mechanics and put it into these main pokemon games

Man, Koraidon is much more cuter. Much more sympathetic than Miraidon. Koraidon Looks like a real pet. I'm surprised in such big difference between the main legends😲

Well some legendary Pokemon have something in common with the other legendary from the same gen solgaleo and lunala both evolve from cosmog and the previous gens legendaries zacian and zamazenta have a Knightly aesthetic to them koraidon and miraidon are based on the past and future respectively each legendary Pokemon represents the theme of the gen it first appears in

I just wanted to see if it was a good game before I played it
My intention is not to be hateful at all, if I searched for a playthrough was because I wanted to convince myself whether this game was worth the money or not, I had good expectations and even had a team in mind ... but man this game feels dead!!! The music doesn't add anything anymore, it looks like a Chaplin-era film. NPCs are as robotic as always and the whole battling system took a step backward from PLA. Pokemon is losing its magic game by game and I wonder when GameFreak is going to wake up. Nevertheless thank you for posting this.
