This is so fucking huge for Florida. Anything over 9 ft is virtually unheard of. I used to think the old timers were full of shit at reef road. Epic man. Straight up epic 🙌
You're not going to find big waves at any drive up spots breaking close to the beach. Want big surf? Paddle out to the outside at the Jupiter inlet on north swells and you'll find it. I've been surfing out there for by myself for years. Come out and say hi. 😀
Reef road is epic. Even though it’s rare, spots like this and spots in northern pbc produce 10ft surf probably twice a year, or at least it has for the past couple years. 2022 hurricane season is probably gonna produce as well.
@@hqd5844 When real swell arrives this winter you are looking at about 200-300 yards. I used to jump off the rocks in the inlet on an outgoing tide that would pull me out there. Its not for the faint of heart but if you want the big stuff it is on offer.
The legend of Pump House lives on! Fantastic Rides! Excellent filming! It was 1 of those magical days! When Mother Nature gives you perfect Waves! 🌊 Those Guys were so ready for a day like That! "Great Surfing" 🏄
I'm a couple counties north, that was one of the better size swells I can remember for sure. I know where it's at but haven't made it down there for some reason. Hopefully get to race down there sometime this winter and get a few if we get another shot of good direction swell like that.
Seems like it fires there but i think one if the best most consistent east coast breaks is at the light house in obx for sure. Not saying this spot isn't good but i think that the lighthouse outta more consistent with huge barreling storm swell. But pump house def digress rival that spot when it does break just right.
@@ethanbell7283 it’s not consistent down there, it only breaks a few times a year. This was the best it had been in a number of years. OBX is WAY more consistent. I still have to say pumphouse when it’s working is the best wave on the EC. A couple of those looked like murky cloudbreak
Wow. I never knew Florida could get waves like this. Are these due to a big storm in the Atlantic? I’m in SoCal and only been to Florida once and the biggest wave I saw was an ankle slapped.
Reef road breaks best during the winter, giant low pressure systems off of New England that stall create giant north swells. Only happens a few times each winter.

Holy my looks like pipeline 😳😍🔥🔥🔥
i loved living on singer island. wish it was as consistent as Cocoa Beach
Saw Slater and the Hobgoods ...overhead barrels
Decent 🌊
Pump house is probably the best wave on the East Coast when it's working. A couple of those were DOH - TOH and draining
Just posted the same thing!

Yeah you need a cat 4 or a cat 5 hurricane moving around off shore.

Were you on the west coast? I'm not saying the waves in this video are the norm, but the west coast of FL is where you will find the ankle biters.
