Hello tea friends, I've got Brewista Smart Pour (that with older base) for several years. I like that maximum volume is 1,2l, because then I can do the rinse and 10 infusions without the refil. I appreciate it even more because I started to use larger teapot for some teas (180ml). I think the only disadvantage is that it looses temperature qicker that other similar kettles. I hadn't noticed it until I saw the review from Don (Mei Leaf). However from boiling point it is back to 96 °C in a moment. But the volume is perfect for me, it heats up quite fast, with decent accurancy (it overshoots more or less depending on the volume of remainig water).

Thank you for the review! It can be deceptively hard to find a suitable and enjoyable kettle to use for gong fu cha brewing. ;)

    Very nice and informative review.
Are you still happy about it a year later? It's very hard to find a durable gooseneck kettle in EU that doesn't break the bank...Are you confident this one will last long? Do you find the 304 stainless steel quality or thickness equivalent to the Bonavita you had or some EKG models for example?
Also if I understand you correctly there is no point buying 150-200€ kettles for temperature accuracy alone as they're all the same cheap sensors? Thanks!

Correct about the temperature accuracy. I’m definitely still happy after a year, but I cannot really make durability statistic based on simply one unit not sure about your question on the steel and thickness.
