I know your usual farewell is "class dismissed" but it felt even more appropriate for this video which felt like a good lesson. Thank you ZombieCleo for all of the enjoyable videos produce. Please keep up the great work :-)
Good job +ZombieCleo ! The only thing I'd suggest to do differently is build a bodrding house instead of 4 houses as you dont use as many resources in the long run. They don't separate the goods and only use 1/3 of the firewood. I build houses when they have the 1st generation of children (around 25 total population).
If you were to remove all the stone and iron in the area surrounding the hunters and gathering huts does that boost their production.... also this is the most informative video I've seen on Banished
It doesn't affect the hunters at all really the gatherers it does affect in that the forester can plant trees in that position which increases the chance that gatherers will find food under mature trees
While this opening strategy is somewhat reasonable it is also really slow and rather inefficient. Putting the houses and barn so far away from your Gatherer's hut and Hunter's cabin cut's down the efficiency of these buildings by a lot. In addition to that you are perfectly fine without a blacksmith until year 2 and a tailor in year 3/4. One thing you (maybe intentionally, maybe not) did right is putting your tailor right next to a market place. The Blacksmith could have found his place there as well. Also I disagree on making such huge stockpiles for a very good reason: First of all it takes away a lot of space and secondly stockpiles are one of the very few things you can place in almost any dimension to fill gaps, which makes them attractive as gapfillers. And finally I dislike the Idea of not having a forester as soon as possible, which may be personal preference but combines the resource collection with the new planted trees replacing iron and stone patches, to make your gatherer more efficient.
Your comment lacks sensitivity. Yes, this is a game, but it's based on reality. And in reality sometimes women do die during childbirth even today. But it's not at all funny when that happens. It's very, very sad.
That's not at all what I meant I know it's sad and I know it still happens and was a lot more common in the time period this is based on, but I'm saying it's funny that they are still worked hike they're pregnant in the game ai
Some great advice :-)

This was designed for people who are struggling to get started and designed to head off problems before they become problems.

I think it's funny the pregnant women are worked until they give birth. And possibly die in the process.

***** I see what you mean now. There are definitely a few oddities like that in this game.
