Rick Wakeman is a legendary FORCE to be reckoned with!!! He is a Wizard of the keyboards. Absolutely every thing he touch becomes magical. He is the best keyboard player in music History!!! Definitely the force in YES!!!

Bravo! Any time you get a Yes member recording with a few other of his bandmates, there will be fire.

Apparently Rick sent the tapes of this album to the record company suits, who asked when was he going to add the vocals. This is one of my all time favourites. Wore out two vinyl copies and have seen Rick live many times.

This is the keyboardist and drummer who helped record my favorite album: the progressive rock masterpiece "Tales from Topographic Oceans" by Yes. Alan White is on the drums. I love this album!

Chod, how soon we forget. January, 1973. Rick Wakeman is the keyboardist for Yes. Alan White on drums, also from Yes. Chris Squire and Bill Bruford also on this album. You’ve been away too long brotha. Come back to us! Lol ❤

Loved this album from the get-go. Coincidentally I was listening to/watching a dvd of one of Rick Wakeman's recent stage performance - various tunes all on piano. He did a montage of tunes from this album. I was happy he did : )

Wakeman set out to make a piece for every wife Henry VIII had. Before joining Strawbs and then Yes Wakeman was already a seasoned studio musician, classically trained.
Cat Stevens' "Morning Has Broken" is probably a best known of his studio work, playing the piano parts.
You have great feel on music ! The long solo part was recorded live at one take, with Wakeman instructing the musicians to play like on stage. :) This has Alan White of Yes on drums.
"Catherine Of Aragon" is arguably the best known piece on this album and it actually features Fragile era of Yes with Bill Bruford, Chris Squire and Steve Howe but minus Jon Anderson. It was intended for "Fragile" but for contractual reasons left out.

I have a pair of JBL L100's the best speakers to listen to Prog music. I bought this album while stationed at Kadena AFB in 1976, side note Rick Wakeman and Keith Emerson are keyboard gods with a Moog or mini Moog. Also smoke some weed too.

One of my favorite albums! All of his albums from the 1970s are worth a listen!
King Henry the VIII was a bit mad. He wanted a son for his heir but each wife, I believe, couldn’t do it. He ended beheading a few of them. He may have also been the King who broke England away from the Catholic Church

Hi Chod! This song is Anne of Cleves. Henry VIII was King of England in 16th Century. He had 6 wives but not at the same time! The main fate of his wives was to be beheaded at the Tower of London as his choice of Queen changed over time! You asked about a live performance. The most famous was his performance at Hampton Court Palace Henry VIII residence at the time. This is a more recent performance May 1 and 2 2009 to celebrate 500 years of Henry VIII at Hampton Court. Here he has a full orchestra, choir and a full band of musicians supporting him. This song is called "Anne of Cleves". I was there!!!!! As already mentioned Rick Wakeman was keyboard player with Yes, he was a classically trained musician studying at the Royal College of Music in London. ruclips.net/video/_3zEvrHfR3c/видео.html
