I've watched countless videos on how to do a tag or business card or anything similar to this idea for a week or more and after printing several paper and wasting toner along, paper, time, frustration along with multiple cuts on my cricut maker I finally came across this video and it was only 2 steps that we causing everything not to work right for me. Only 2! Finally I got it and so happy because I was about to give up after this evening. Thank you so much for the video. I will definitely watching your videos if I need help with anything.

OMGosh! Thanks for mentioning only being able to use white cardstock if you have an Explore. I attempted Print then Cut a few months back with no luck and just gave up. Attempted today and watched your video after it wasn’t cutting my gray cardstock. Didn’t have white cardstock so I cut on white paper and wouldn’t you know it...it cut!!! 🙌🏼 Thank you!!! 😃

I've been struggling for a month trying to figure out how to make a heart shaped tag to include with the auction items that I am making and donating to a pit bull rescue...I could NOT figure out how to have the heart shaped tag cut and have the wording/logo on the heart print. glad i watched "just one last tutorial" before making my tags....on deep purple cardstock :( now i'm just disappointed print and cut only works on light colored paper. Bleh. Time to rethink the entire project. Thank you for clearly explaining everything.
Hello, I’m new here browsing how to print on cardstock for car freshies. Your video was very detail and straight the point. I just want to clarify some information and I hope you see my message. So I only use white cardstock and the printer will print my image in color and then the circuit will cut it for me? I’m only using the machine to print 3 in circle to fit a 4 in circle freshie. So could I just use the circle cutter from hobby lobby? Is the circuit really necessary for the small project I’m trying to accomplish? Help please.
Thank you for this great video on making tags. I followed your step by step instructions, printed the tag on my printer, put it into my Cricut Maker, let it scan, and then it cut a square around my tag, not the tag itself. I'm sure I missed a step someplace but am wondering...What did I do wrong?
Because the shape you have it flattened to is not solid. If you can see the canvas grid through the design it’s going to cut around anywhere it sees the grid. Use contour to fill in the shape or reupload the shape without removing the inside I choose a different shape

This is extremely old. Design space has changed a lot since this was filmed. The options for print then cut and colors are all at the top of the screen under operations now

Yes and no. Theres a lot of things you have to do to get it to work and because my printer only does one side I haven't been able to get to working out how

Hello I love this tutorial! I have uploaded my own artwork a sailboat and my calligraphy both are png format but circuit air 2 cuts out all the pngs not the outline of the tag template. Not sure what I am doing incorrectly. Should I convert my artwork into svg files? Marisol, :) Cricut Newbie

I did the print then cut tag for my earrings and I duplicated the tags and when it cut it read the registration marks (I have a Maker) and it cut all wrong...it didn't cut one single tag properly :( what did I do wrong? I had light paper and not too much light in the room?

My guess is your words are set to cut not print. Sometimes design space does weird things for no reason as well. I would go back make sure everything is set to print and try again

When I uploaded my image, I didn't see the place where it said Print & Cut, It just took it to the Canvas and didn't give me option either to Select Image Type . Seems like mine bypassed an important step...
@@cryavi2005 you use the blue tooth for your phone. you would need to have a blue tooth printer as well then you connect your phone to the printer through the bluetooth as well. there were two cords. you have a powercord and a USB cord. the usb it to directly plug the cricut into your computer.

You would either use pattern fill under print then cut when you click color or you can slice it out of the image

The cricut isn’t really needed for something like this no. You could just get a circle punch

It doesn’t technically pair to cricut but the device you are using so in this case my computer. You just install your printer

You didn't clean up around the tag. You have to make sure like when you upload an image to cut that you are cleaning around the image.

It’s because your shape is not solid. You have to flatten to a solid shape or it’s going to cut out every single detail
What type of paper did you use? And I have a air explorer 2 so the printer won’t do colors just black and white?
It’s just white cardstock. Nothing special and no if you have a color printer you can print color you just can’t print on colored paper

When you design your item in design space you will size it there before printing

I used a stone color which is(white) my explorer kept saying can’t read cut lines
Your room is likely too bright. It helps to close the lid on the machine. Also make sure nothing is blocking the sensor for the print then cut libes

Your tag is likely not a solid shape. make sure the tag you are using is not an outline

It might. sometimes the explore will work with super light colors. I would just say all you can do is try it

Regardless of where you print it must be through design space. If not it wont have registration marks and the machine cant cut it
If you printed 10 copies and have your cricuit to cut all 10 automatically. How would you do that? Thank you for your videos!!!🥰🥰🥰
When you hit make it up in the top left corner is an option for project copies. You can change that to 10 and it will print 10 and then cut 10 :)

it sounds like you did not flatten everything to the tag. make sure everything is flattened and that your tag shape is solid

If the light is not coming on at all you will need to contact cricut directly. There may be an issue with your sensor.

Make sure your tag is set to print then cut and be sure you have flattened the logo to the tag

You need to calibrate your machine.

This video shows you how to do that. As for writing on the back you can either flip the tag over and have Cricut write it or you can hand write it.
I made my own printmy own print and then I go on to make it and it says continue and then it says select you're an accessory I don't know what help
You need to likely select your printer or your machine.

You are likely uploading an svg. You can change it to print on your canvas.

Its not easy. Youd need to line it up when you wanted to do the back. It's not something cricut can do easily

can you do double sided tags?
You can but its super hard. You have to try to line them up just right and its nearly impossible. I usually just print them separate and glue together

You hook your computer to yourprinter not your cricut. Just install your print drivers

@@cryavi2005 you use the blue tooth for your phone. you would need to have a blue tooth printer as well then you connect your phone to the printer through the bluetooth as well. there were two cords. you have a powercord and a USB cord. the usb it to directly plug the cricut into your computer.
