Kind of like with Darth Vader: on the surface they’re horrible monsters, but buried deep within each of them are good men. All they needed was their sons’ love to bring the best out of each of them.
I'm gonna be honest, Garmahusk is one of the best written characters in this show. They could've made him goofy like his movie counterpart, or slightly loving like Lord Garmadon, but they continued to write him as this empty man, because that's what he was resurrected as. Only the bad parts of him, no love, just a husk of who he once was. They even have several scenes where he acknowledges this, where he knows something's missing in him, and he wants to fill that void, but he just can't because of his new nature. Even when Lloyd "dies" in season 10, that doesn't spark anything in Garmahusk, in fact, he backs away, with no expression on his face. He stays the same way despite his yearn to change, which is exactly how he's meant to be written right now. Maybe he will get that change he wants, but for now, he's Garmadon, a husk of a man.
Totally agree, i think having him care enough to help make the Tornado of Creation at the end of Season 10 shows that a tiny bit of his old self is still there, if only as a miniscule remnant. He would have gladly killed Lloyd off in Season 9, but now the thought of the Oni killing him convinced him to step in and help. I think it has a lot to do with Harumi, too. He "adopted" her and clearly was torn up about her dying, so he may be feeling instincts for the son he still has
100% agree, but here are some of my thoughts! Something I caught onto at the end of Season 10 Episode 4 when Wu said goodbye was how Garmadon looked surprised. It was a very small reaction, but he was surprised that Wu would say that. A few more times Garmadon got a bit up against the wall was with the photo, and when the Omega questioned why he hadn't taken over the realm yet. So, the conclusion that I have come to is that Garmadon has emotions BUT he brushes over them too fast to notice. So, instead of being genuine, it gets covered by a sarcastic, intelligent response, or in the case that something actually stumps him, he will be unable to respond at all (photo and Wu). That's just my theory though. I hope he comes back in future seasons so he can finish his arc.

I know that Garmadon is an Anagram for Armageddon, but, like, from a perspective of symbolism, it would make sense for it to mean both things because of the duality of Garmadon’s Character. The Evil side would be represented by the “Giver of Darkness” while the good side would be the “beloved teacher/beloved father” but that’s just me, maybe that’s why certain letters of Armageddon are missing. The Duality of his character is why the “born from both sides” meaning comes from as well, I think it makes sense because 1. Certain Letters of Armageddon are missing, and it is probably deliberate, 2. Ninjago is chock full of culture and symbolism of many different places, and 3. It’s really cool. After seeing so many comments about what happened to garmandon after the march of oni, all I want to say is this: right now there is an official comic released by the lego company comic called Lego Ninjago: Garmadon Comic that was released just this year. One of my favourite parts is when garmadon was dreaming and he saw Lloyd and started saying this: "after all I have done, you haven´t given up on me... Lloyd" (chapter 4).
season 10 is my favorite because lloyd and garmadon had so many father-and-son moments. lord garmadon is my fav character because he is loving deep inside.
