- After playing the demo, I strongly believe that the Need for Speed franchise is going down. I remember in the good old days how NFS: Underground 2, Most Wanted and Carbon were good. The driving in this is poor like in the previous ones and it is missing originality (from what I've seen). However, I've observed three good things in this demo. First off, the fact that we now see the driver in the cutscenes (I didn't play the previous NFS but I think this is the first time). Secondly, the variety of gameplay (in the snow) and finally the graphics of the car. They look very realistic. Enjoy!
Does anyone else love how it zooms to your car when you turn in this game?

Guys I'm pretty sure the people shooting whatever that was, probably a howitzer, were reducing the avalanche danger, which is why they temporarily closed the road.

Frostbite and cryengine are top of the line gaming engines right now.
This is my favorite part out of the whole game and my favorite section out of the whole race
Because Jack doesn't have time to stop and make his car look good, he has a race to win.

I like this game too but the only thing I don't like about it is that you can't customize the car exactly how you want it :(
A lot of NFS games in this era wouldn't let you customize your car very much, such as Hot Pursuit, The Run, Most Wanted and Rivals
Proof that we all have nostalgia goggles on. I remember NFS 3 and Underground being good, Porsche being godlike and Carbon being shit.
I love their soundtrack to this game.
Does anyone have this issue where the snow/drift particles are so broken that they just shoot up in a single diagonal direction and half the time cover up the whole screen? If yes, anyone knows how to fix it?

@Asgard2693 The original Need For Speed was like this one, no free roam, arcade racing.. this one is just like the old ones but with better graphics and a storyline. THIS is the original Need For Speed
The thing i love about this game is the missions is hard to complete ^^
NFS The run is more like a movie not a racing game. It can't be compared to the other NFS's at all , maybe a bit to Undercover which had a good story , but there imo are 2 types of NFS : The 1st 2 Underground series and those that start with Hot Pursuit.Imho both are good and different.
how to make this race more challenging.
1. make the car driftable
2. more Michael bay Explosives
3. add a heli that spam rocket and guns at you.
4. many cop cars on the tails
5. sudden death. [no rewind]
[what the hell i'm thinking...]
BTW : I wonder what the demolition team think when they blow up a mountain and saw 2 racer race down the hill

@@gameingexpertgitaye2344 I know the game and you don't need to be an expert to know that when this game came out they also wanted to make the gamers use their brains a little in this particular case you know that when the rocks are falling it's basic physics that most of the big rocks and the snow will fall close to the edge. Meaning you need to stay close to the mountain and avoid the small rocks as best as you canto minimise damages on your car. Now I admit the programers were a little mean with that rock standing near the mountain. This gamer made a lot of mistakes in the trajectory choices.

I think The Run would be better if the NFS team don't release it shortly after Shift 2. There's so little time to improve the game. Maybe, this game is fail for the gameplay. but, for the graphics, i love it. :)

I love how people are getting Angry and Annoyed with NFS going back to its roots this is how NFS was Originally with games like the original hot pursuit and porche unleashed Underground and all the street racing ones are the weird ones in the franchise

need for speed is without a doubt going the way of tony hawk and guitar hero. it's overdone, there's not enough left to do in it, and it just sucks now. i remember the good old days on the ps2 with need for speed hot pursuit 2. that was possibly the greatest need for speed (in my eyes). along with NFS Most Wanted.
