For the people that keep saying the engine is water damage and it's useless to fix that's a lie cause only thing u got to do is inside maintance and a engine tear down and engine parts replace/remaintaince and that's that
Yeah, if this engine needs anything, it would be a rather easy rebuild. Nothing bent, fractured, or scarred. A light hone of the cylinder walls would be about it, but it sounds like it doesn't even need that. The internet is full of doom and gloom posters who know better.
I sold this challenger to a friend for a very fair deal and he is driving it daily with no issues. The only thing he did was replaced the tires so far.
Most flood auto's, are not worth the effort. May be months down the road. But every electrical connection. Will start giving issues, seen it way to many times.
You can pop the start button out of those things, and use the tip of the key fob as a traditional key. You might have better starting control on your next one.
Hey. So I have a salvage flood 2012 Dodge Challenger. The interior is good. The engine is able to be turned with breaker bar. The is alot of oil in the car. We took oil drain plug off and no oil will come out. What would cause that? Thank you
Very interesting, did you figure something out? I never had that happen before, even when flooded with water all the water will come out first then the oil!
@Streamline Builds We put an engine flush in there that is basically kerosene and 4 days later the oil started to drain. We were able to get the vehicle started but there is a rod knock.
All depends on specifics with your vehicle I was lucky no one tried to run it with water inside so nothing got bent and it didn't sit too long to get rusted inside. My experience was lucky but after spark. plugs, oil and a starter I believe i only spent about $200
Had a Buick 3.8 where upper plastic manifold disintegrated coolant passage. Totally locked up. Took out front 3 plugs turned crank 180 degrees took rear plugs out turned 360 degrees. Spun engine till water was out changed oil and upper manifold, ran a while changed oil again drove that car another 20k plus
My engine did the same after going through some really high flooding... took it to chevy and they said my engine needs to be replaced. I found one on ebay and someone to replace it. What should I do and how many parts need to be replaced ???
Looks like the flood damaged car rebuilding industry will be flooded with business this year. Just look at what happened in KY, TX and MS states. Crazy flooding going on! So good to know some cars are still fixable. I'm sure their owners would be happy!
Just got myself a AFE momentum gt cold air intake and a 80mm throttle body. Stock throttle body is 73mm I believe. These may help increase horsepower with your v6. I have a 2011 challenger se. Has almost 98k miles. If possible can your next video show the glove box light. Thanks. Mike from CA
*I agree there's no way that much water got in the motor and didn't get inside the car it's self too. Drop some marvel's mystery oil in the cylinders and try turning it over a few times change the oil too and you might be good to go on that one. I would also run some seafoam through the fuel system to help evaporate the water that may have gotten in there and clean that nasty intake out too. doesn't look like whoever had this car before took very good care of it. Better to be safe than sorry*
Get all water oit the motor then use marvel mystery oil down all cylimders as much as it will take then turn it every day back and forth thatll take care of the rust and so forth
Guaranteed he won't show the buyer this video. Car isn't good enough for his wife, but has no problem putting someone else's wife and kids in it. This is why I don't buy from individuals.
Shut up this is not that bad he has to run the starter without the plugs for a few seconds, change All the fluids, the oil atleast twice and it's like new jesus christ it's not that bad the engine has no internal damage It sounds very healthy
use a mixture of transmission fluid and acetone 50/50 lpor it in and let it sit its what i use all the time even if you get a stuck cylinder rusted low compression ect works like a dream cheers!
The more you run it the better it'll be and you may want to add some fresh fuel to it and like I said it wouldn't hurt to change the oil then also the radiator fluid
Also you can use a Shop-Vac with a small tube and vacuum out all remaining water in the cylinders it will help just take the tube on the end of the shop vac and suck out all the water and afterwards Marvel Mystery Oil Victor from Palmdale California 93591
I just watched this video and I strongly suggest you buy a tripod for your camera or your phone because the image moves too much and it's unpleasant to watch.
Thanks my friend I just upgraded and got a tripod and head strap also some extra help recording if you want to try my newest video and the next one should be even better, thanks for the feedback.
You can definitely tell some young kid owned this car you didn't give a shit about it. Because it was a. v6. see it had a turbo. he must have had a cold air intake and had it to far to the ground. That suck the water up through it
Are you into any trades I have a 2003 BMW X5 and a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Monte Carlo has 125,000 miles original and BMW has an 8-cylinder 4.4/ V8 and BMW has 179000 miles lol
Marvel Mystery Oil down the cylinders even down the intake to free up some of the parts also you want to flush the oil compartment with liquid laundry detergent Shout to break down some of the nastiness lube it up real good and change the starter once you flush it out expect at least two to three oil changes and coolant flushes also you can flush the coolant system with the shout liquid laundry detergent guarantee not to hurt anything just to give it a good internal bath
This ENGINE not motor is junk when new and will never be considered American muscle.Unless that white exhaust smoke ceases, you still have a bad engine!
Anyway youll need new plugs as those ones where surely the originals ones.
Nice video bro, I like how you like to show everything even under the car most car youtubers don’t go in depth enough
You need to hchange that oil! It very well could have water in it
Should change the oil anyway!
Water did not get inside refers to the Car not the Engine. Why didnt you just drain the oil would have saved you ages.
I remember seeing that car on the news in Savannah Georgia in 2017 tropical storm Irma
I thought u had zero chance of running that engine after coughing up all that water. Good job
I realize it's kinda off topic but do anyone know of a good website to stream new series online ?
@Benton Arjun i watch on flixzone. Just google for it =)
You are the best! subscribed.

Agreed 👍.

Any updates in the compression of the Dodge? How was it running
I sold this challenger to a friend for a very fair deal and he is driving it daily with no issues. The only thing he did was replaced the tires so far.
good to hear .... so if the crankshaft turns 360 degrees then its all good, right
Most flood auto's, are not worth the effort. May be months down the road. But every electrical connection. Will start giving issues, seen it way to many times.
Did you really not change the oil?
You can pop the start button out of those things, and use the tip of the key fob as a traditional key. You might have better starting control on your next one.

How much did yu buy the flooded car for ??
You need to drain all fluids and drop the oil pan and tramsmion pan as well and replace brake fluid and coolant very important .
Water will not enter brake system
bull shit
Compression is holding you up compression in the cylinders on the passenger side remove all spark plugs and use Marvel Mystery Oil down the cylinders
Would love to know what happened to the Challenger.
Sold to a local snake wrangler, he is still driving it
How much did it cost you to fix this ?? I have a flooded challenger myself and my insurance company won’t cover it !!
All depends on specifics with your vehicle I was lucky no one tried to run it with water inside so nothing got bent and it didn't sit too long to get rusted inside. My experience was lucky but after spark. plugs, oil and a starter I believe i only spent about $200
Update on this car. This was interesting to see
Had a Buick 3.8 where upper plastic manifold disintegrated coolant passage. Totally locked up. Took out front 3 plugs turned crank 180 degrees took rear plugs out turned 360 degrees. Spun engine till water was out changed oil and upper manifold, ran a while changed oil again drove that car another 20k plus
I hope you changed the oil after all this!!!
My engine did the same after going through some really high flooding... took it to chevy and they said my engine needs to be replaced. I found one on ebay and someone to replace it. What should I do and how many parts need to be replaced ???
I’m in the same situation what did you do ?? Updates please lol
Looks like the flood damaged car rebuilding industry will be flooded with business this year. Just look at what happened in KY, TX and MS states. Crazy flooding going on! So good to know some cars are still fixable. I'm sure their owners would be happy!
How muxh did you pay?
$2900
Just got myself a AFE momentum gt cold air intake and a 80mm throttle body. Stock throttle body is 73mm I believe. These may help increase horsepower with your v6. I have a 2011 challenger se. Has almost 98k miles. If possible can your next video show the glove box light. Thanks. Mike from CA
The driver of this car didn't drive through water they drove into water lol !
Which auction site do you prefer between autobidmaster, salvage bid or better bid?
I just use copart.com
Update?

feel sorry for whoever buys that car.

Trying to Rebuild should be the Video Title.
She was a little rough around the edges a v6 wasn't worth the restoration effort lol
Would You Mind Doing Mines, Just Bought A Charger That Was Flooded!
did you get a non repairable title for the ‘flood’ damage ?
Just a standard salvage flood title
Do you still have the challenger?
No it was sold awhile back.
Wow you used a turbo to hold the intake 😭😭😭 you aint doing nothing with that 🤔🤔 i need that... Lol
send it. You don't want the headache. Maybe a couple used tires. Another round of fluid changes.
Any problems with the pcm
No problems, the car never came up with any warning lights.
Sounds like its throwing up when the water came out
use a mixture of transmission fluid and acetone 50/50 lpor it in and let it sit
its what i use all the time even if you get a stuck cylinder rusted low compression ect works like a dream cheers!
Thanks for the info my friend.
Did this have a turbo? Sitting on the engine under manifold.
Yes it did just needed something to hold the manifold out of the way.
where did the turbocharger come from...........................
Nissan sr20 turbo
If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for the car?
It was $2100
The more you run it the better it'll be and you may want to add some fresh fuel to it and like I said it wouldn't hurt to change the oil then also the radiator fluid
how much did u buy it
Hey I paid $2100 for it.
Now change the trans fluid
Where the turbo come from
That car was in Savannah GA hurricane flood
I bet the starter works just fine when the spark plugs are off the cylinder
Also you can use a Shop-Vac with a small tube and vacuum out all remaining water in the cylinders it will help just take the tube on the end of the shop vac and suck out all the water and afterwards Marvel Mystery Oil Victor from Palmdale California 93591
It would look amazing if it gets a hellcat body, interior and supercharger.
So a hellcat?
Holy crap man. That's a lot of water coming out. Hahaha. I'd say that engine is slightly hydro locked.
Geeze!Change the oil and drain the old gas.
Hemi. swap?
Now that’s a boat that don’t float
Did he say the stripes were ghettoized?
change the oil
New starter turn over before u put back to gether
You can definitely tell some young kid owned this car you didn't give a shit about it. Because it was a. v6. see it had a turbo. he must have had a cold air intake and had it to far to the ground. That suck the water up through it
Could you put a mic on I can't hear you

V8 and BMW has 179000 miles lol
Looks like I have a trade already worked out on it, I'm just waiting on the title.
YOU SHOULD PUT A HEME MOTER IN IT AND CALL IT A DAY
Marvel Mystery Oil down the cylinders even down the intake to free up some of the parts also you want to flush the oil compartment with liquid laundry detergent Shout to break down some of the nastiness lube it up real good and change the starter once you flush it out expect at least two to three oil changes and coolant flushes also you can flush the coolant system with the shout liquid laundry detergent guarantee not to hurt anything just to give it a good internal bath
I would of never got this car 🚗 unless it was a hemi
Looks like my liquids after new years eve..
It's obvious that it has water damage, waste of time, hydrolocked
Hydro locked
Dodge makes it difficult to work on vehicles so you have to take it to them so they can get your money.
That POS was junk when it left the factory, and it's definitely trash now. Computer cars are not worth fixing. They were designed to be disposable.
Success
Part it out...
How much??? I drive GrubHub in Flint!
I'm going to ask $4600 figure that's the cheapest one around.
This ENGINE not motor is junk when new and will never be considered American muscle.Unless that white exhaust smoke ceases, you still have a bad engine!
Junk I hate new cars and trucks
A 6cyl is far from american muscle
Dont be a selfish bastard give it to your woman
Turn it off!!!!! Change the oil!!!!! Probably to late now, you let it run with all that junk you put in the cylinders. just sayin
just sayin
Its a nice car man but... american muscle it is not!!
yessssssssss
U mess around too much
