When it comes to the rising talents in Europe, one name gets rather conveniently ignored. Leroy Sane was snapped up by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola back in 2016 from Schalke 04 for 37 million pounds.

As a liverpool fan it terrified me everytime he got on the ball against us. The player i feared the most out of all man city player a couple of years ago. A great loss for city

Haha... same here
Yeah he scored that game they won 2-1 against y’all
Yeah trent must be relieved to not face sane again
Leroy Sane was a real lost to Man City. I loved his play and miss him. But, if he wanted to go, who can stop him?
Giving him a contract earning him as much as Sterling would have stopped him. And treating him with the same respect as well. Pep just didn't like him any more. That kind of thing happens with Pep's players all the time and people generally ignore it because of Pep's success rate. Maybe that'll change soon, though.
That guy used to destroy us liverpool

I really believe Bayern has a serious chance of winning the CL again. And Sane can be a big reason why. I am more worried about his health than I am about his abilities. At least Bayern has some of the best and toughest physical trainers in the business. The guy who made Goretzka a moster is hopefully eager to make Sane his next project.
That was Goretzka himself, during lockdown. He has his own gym in his house and had a great diet.

Leroy was a brilliant player for City and the Sané, Agüero, Sterling forward combo was absolutely terrifying for defenders. The part where it says Sane prefers the LW is categorically false. He's stated he prefers playing on the right, but he'll play either position if the team demands it.
He’s been playing on the right all season for Bayern with Gnabry on the left just like the national team and it’s working really well.

Managers writing books is usually always a disruptive force within the teams they manage. There should exist a level of trust, of confidentiality that the players and managers can expect to be maintained throughout their playing careers. Managers who respect this relationship, will be able to build a higher level of commitment towards a common goal within their teams.
Well, Sane just got substituted as a substitute in Bayern's last game, so clearly his character issues and mentality didn't have anything to do with City and everything to do with him. He is now sitting on the bench at Bayern. Hope he can bounce back. It would be such a shame to see such a talent go to waste.
That's the point, pep was not pleased with his competitive attitude. Pep asked him to compete with sterling or bernando or mahraz for his position but he didn't work hard to snatch his position on rw/lw. It's shame that he didn't tried or just gave up. Wish he still at man city
@Der Kaiser Thanks for insulting me on the behalf of a footballer who doesn't know you and doesn't care what you think.
You can make your point without being insulting to fellow fans who are just discussing the game of football as they see it.
Sane's attitude was why he was taken off. Same as in Man City.
If he wasn't fit to play he wouldn't have been on the bench, however physically he was fine but not in his approach to the game.
He can prove everyone wrong by turning things around unlike he did at City.
@Der Kaiser I don't need to. I'm classy like that. You're not.
@Der Kaiser Lol..A guy insulting random people over a football player that doesn't know or care about him is calling others weirdoes?
Sure. You're the sane one.
I am writing as of the 2021-22's winter break has came in Bundesliga and yes Sane's magical touch is back. 10 goals, 11 assists in 22 matches. He is really back.
Sane is better then all wingers that City currently have.
Miss him so much here at blue Manchester. He is just a dream to watch.
As a city fan where Leroy was my favorite player: he had to be sold, some of his performances toward the end were clearly dreadful from an effort standpoint. He had given up on the system. I can recall one of his last games where Pep had shouted at him relentlessly from the sidelines. I can't say either party was totally at fault in that situation but the writing was on the wall.
Bro I’m not a mAn city fan but whenever sane was on the starting 11 I knew our defense was in for a long game 💯 yes he may not have produce good games at the end but that is due to fuckin not playing a lot and also because of the injuries he is recovering from
totally remember this, pep yelled at him countless times in the Leicester game where Kompany scored that goal because he came off the bench and lost the ball so many times. Also dreadful in the burnley game during the title run in after getting a start. Well at the same time, we may have not been champions if he didn't come on in the united game
I love Sane, this transfer was a bit hard for me to accept but there were signs that maybe he would have been on the table for transfer.
Manchester city's team in 2017/2018 season was stacked with quality players and still had Kompany to lock their defense! When they got knocked by Liverpool Sané didn't even play that's where Man City lost him. That season even their B team was better than 90% of other premier league A team
Except at Bayern they have Douglas Costa Kingsley coman serge gnabry so now he is sitting on the bench a lot as well
Sané is an amazing player, every time he played city played better. Too bad he got sold, it's a true shame. Miss you Leroy
There’s a difference mate he wanted to go no one’s bigger than the club if you wanna leave there’s nothing stopping you
I don't frequently watch games apart from the Bundesliga in the stadium, but I've been lucky enough to see Liverpool and ManCity when playing in Hoffenheim. Seeing Sané play, it doens't take a long time for a regular spectator to figure out that he stands out.
Thanks for making this video, Leroy was one of our best players! I still wish we had him at City. Blue Is Our City!
Sane was def one of the best direct wingers for City in a long time, if not the best. I personally believe the trouble began with the World Cup snub. It seemed like a crazy catalyst and also the influence of his folks to return to homeland was a factor. We'll see if he becomes the superstar that he was gearing to be at City but now with Bayern; Guardiola is right, he has the talent
Glad he left city, great player...its amazing the reputation Guardiola has earned over the years!
Zlatan & Eto'o described him best...
I always felt confident with Leroy! I knew he would do something at any point. Goodluck
He’s a fantastic footballer to watch and I hope to see more of this man in the future. Alas, it will be Bayern instead of City.
A player is not selected for his national team (when he deserved it). The new season starts and instead of putting his arm around him, his club manager keeps him on the bench. I told City fans then he'd leave, they disagreed. Now look.
Instead of him city should have sold Mahrez( who is also very good) and they then would have sterling, sane, aguero as frontline. And Bernardo, ferran Torres on bench
You know if we never sold him he was gonna leave for free

You City fans keep saying that but it's just not true. He actually gave up playing for the national team to get that operation between seasons, so he could play for City. How much more dedicated can anyone be. And also, he's "not injury prone" as such. At City he had one big injury, that's it. There's a clip here on youtube that says he's like titanium, just watch it, that was before that big injury. - What he needs most is a decent human being as a manager, and he has that now in Bayern, so he will very likely flourish there.

Are you stupid, judging a player by a single game, do you even see football matches, if you would have, you'd know how good sterling was last season, he was the 2nd best in the city team and 4th best in the league after KDB,Sadio and Virgil.
And city will win UCL someday, that is for sure, the team is good, they just need a drive to make it through nervy phases and they will learn.
Sane better than Sterling case closed
@BobFrom Mars At the times sane was getting benched Sterling was on top form always scoring and assisting not only that but he had the discipline to track back and help defend which when sane played he did not have that intensity...I think Sane overall is a better player but sterling brought the whole package
@BobFrom Mars And scoring 30+goals a season..Your acting as if Sane never misses chances or any top attacker has never missed open goals
@BobFrom Mars stick to cricket? What does that supposed to mean, if i am am indian i should only follow cricket?
And onto the topic, do you even see football, you visionary bastard, telling me what to watch and what not to?
Look at sterling's stats from last 2 seasons, he was the PFA young player of the year 2018-19, he was the 2nd best player when city won the league in 18-19, he was the 2nd best player for city last season, his shot count ratio is amazing, he has improved his finishing under Guradiola to a top level, its just that he missed one and that may haunt him for a long time.
Sterling dribbles very well, he is an amazing player and has taken a wonderful responsibility to score and assist over the years, plus he is not that much injured, when compared to Sane, KDB and others, that's why he is given the Captain's armband in absence of Kdb and Ferna.
You stupid fuck, before telling me what to watch and what not to, atleast get your facts straight and then argue.
I am not saying that Sane is bad, but he was injured in those phases of his city's career when sterling shone brightly, the bench strength of city is amazing, even Mahrez wasn't able to make it to regular city 11, until now, so there is competition.
For the past 2-3 years, sterling was, is and has been irreplaceable in city in the winger position.
And for your stupid take on me, I am a cricket fan, that doesn't make me a less of a football fan, but one thing that i do better than you, is watch football, rather that blabbering anything out without knowledge.
as a united fan i wish sane all the best, an exciting player.
As a city fan ever time I hear sane I just remember he was key part in 2018 seoson against Liverpool

Sane didnot want to stay mainly because his new contract on the desk gets far less pay than Sterling while his scoring record was same or even better. Sterling’s greediness cost Man City more than just his overpaid salary, but Sane. And he will ask more money and cause more dissatisfaction to other players when he runs out his current contract.
Lies! All lies!
@@naemajamal the analysis makes perfect sense, the agent of Sterling played a game and City fell for it. With only a bit more than one year left on his contract, and Pep loved him, City has little choice but renew the contract with Sterling for that salary. looking at his performance this season, I can hardly say this salary is justified. Not only Sane, any other player can be unhappy. So i won’t say it is a lie, the analysis makes sense. Anyway, only Sane know what happened, so any analysis could be correct or could be bullshit.
@@naemajamal why are you so sure that is a lie??? This video is all about speculating what happened to Sane and what is in Sane’s head, is it not? Unless you are Sane, you cannot speak for him, lady.
@@jimmydimmy88 taking about knowledge of City, you are top! Spot on.
I absolutely LOVE this guy, what a shame what happened
Sane is undoubtedly a profound player. He had a great career at City.
Pep only criticised Sane's work ethic, because he wanted Sterling coming in from the left. The following season he found a spurious reason to drop Bernardo so he could rationalise buying Mahrez. Even though we've had some success, the team has been inferior ever since.
I don’t think he cares about what people think about the spending city does. It’s purely tactical. Sane is a clear right winger but sterling plays their. On the left he doesn’t fit well. But yes, mahrez has been a bust
I wish Big Jurgen had him in Red
United fan he was scarrrryyy when he got the ball against us my brother used to say I would rather have him then anyone else in prem he was key for city and underrated
I hope Sane destroys Man City in the CL if they meet
Yeah, me too, but not so much because I dislike City, but because I want him to be able to stick it to Pep who treated him like garbage.
@@LoveToHearUSing amen
you're a fucking weirdo mate, re-evaluate your life.
He most likely will be injured before he can face city
@Tom B Oh, so you know him personally
Shame we lost him.. So unappreciated by Pep.
One of my favorite players ...i really really like his play style
i miss leroy so much 😭
He picked Sterling over Sane...
still the most stupid thing i’ve ever seen
Yes you idiots because we switched to inverted wingers. Sterling cuts in from the left sane can’t. Sane also didn’t manage to secure the RW spot over Bernardo who was our best player in 2018/19 when we got 98 points. You just just don’t know what you are talking about
Yeah because sterling is the better player in case you didn't know
Wins a trophy in his second game , something pep cannot do
Fool, do you know how many trophies Pep has won in his impressive managerial career? All the trophies Bayern have won, Pep has won all of them. You fish brain
@@chris333918 just a sextuple and 2 premier leagues and you are running your fucking mouth . Ik you're a barcelona fan . Pep keeps spending and he keeps failing 😅🤣🤣😂 cry more .
