Easter Family Fun Weekend - South Devon Railway

A short trip to the South Devon Railway, which runs between Buckfastleigh to Totnes, alongside the river dart. It is the other railway which runs alongside the river Dart, the other being the Dartmouth Steam Railway, which has already been covered in a previous video, so do check that out. On this Family Fun Easter Weekend, there were 12 more services than usual, along with the crossover at Staverton. Running on the day, was small prairie No. 5526, and ‘1336 Class’ 0-6-0PT, No. 1369. 20:28 No. 5526 at Totnes pumping house heading for Totnes
21:35 No. 1369 arrives into Totnes Riverside + Class 43 loco movement
23:56 No. 5526 alongside the river Dart just outside of Buckfastleigh

I have a little confession to make, in a previous video titled, ‘the only 2 non-barriered level crossings in Devon’, I suggested that there were 2 crossings in Devon, but as you will see, Nappers Crossing is non barrier, so there are actually 3.
