- This is Assassin's Creed 2 with unlocked framerate on a real Xbox 360.

To get the unlocked framerate you have to:
1. You need a RGH modded Xbox 360
2. Take the defaul.xex in your Assassin's Creed 2 folder on the xbox 360, copy and paste it in your PC to uncompress/decrypt it with xextool (follow my tutorial for the decrypting/uncompressing part, here • Xbox 360 - Tutorial: ... )
3. Open the decrypted/uncompressed file in HxD
4. Search for the location:
3E2290 (823de290 in absolute values) and change the 81 7f 35 ec to 39 60 00 03
NOTE: if you don't find it, be sure you have selected "hexadecimal values" in the research window and you don't have a title updated (TU) game or another region game (ex. PAL/NTSC). In that case, search for
81 7f 35 ec 2b 0b 00 00 41 9a 00 34 2b 0b 00 01 41 9a 00 2c 2b 0b 00 02 41 9a 00 1c 39 6b ff fc 39 40 00 03 31 6b ff ff 7d 6b 59 10 7d 6b 50 38
the first are the values to change. They should remain the same also in the TU/different region version.
5. Save the file as you prefer (eg. Assassins2_unlocked.xex)
6. Copy this file in your folder on the Xbox 360, then start it by file manager or rename in default.xex (after renamed the original one) to start it from the cover in your dashboard

Is it possible to test Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing or its sequel? They're both capped at 30fps on consoles, so it'd be interesting to see how they would fare with an unlocked frame rate.

Hello, do you know anything about unlocking fps in games using a DLL plugin? and then you just need to turn it on in dashlaunch type for each game your plugin, maybe you know how to do it?

hello ,can you remove black bar and unlock fps dragon's dogma and the evil within 1 thank you.
Already tested both but fps are still locked. About the 16:9 format I saw a video of the PC version that uses commands on a console but I don't know how to do that on the Xbox 360.
The Evil Within being based on ID Tech 5 it may have speed tied to framerate. I know Rage and Doom 3 BFG have so going above or bellow 60 directly impacts the game. Hope Tango sorted the game speed out on Evil Within so maybe a patch could be doable on both XBox 360 and Playstation 3.

No, you only need a RGH or JTAG modded Xbox 360. The PC is required to change, only one time, the defaul.xex. But if you can't mod this file I can send you it by mail (for free).
