I am so sorry. Do not feel guilty, Kiwi lived an incredible life in her beautiful and enriching enclosure. Rest in peace Kiwi. I know that Saartje will be very very happy in his amazing new setup!
such sad news , i'm so sorry for your loss . it's a painful job cleaning out a beloved deceased hamsters cage but you have now made it into a marvelous new home for your other hamster to enjoy .

Lief, dankjewel ❤️ multi huisje komt van Etsy, hamsterhome shop is de naam van de verkoper, ze hebben ook een instagram account. En de gedroogde plantjes komen van webwinkel whoopie of rodenttopia vandaan, echt super fijne webwinkels.
Aw. I'm so sorry about Kiwi, she was so very cute! Don't feel guilty, you did everything you could to help her. You're very responsible, also, to get her checked by a vet. But I totally understand that guilt 😔. Rest in peace, Kiwi 🥝❤ I left my cage setup untouched for months after my hamster, Elfie, passed in July 2021. It was too hard to let go and clean out his cage. For some reason losing him felt a lot harder on me than my first hamster, Benjy.
Its always the "whats ifs" that make things difficult.. But I just keep reminding myself that it's ok now. I'm so sorry to hear that. Its always good to take your time before and during cleaning the cage, its such a hard thing to do. For me it feels like a last goodbye.. And never feel guilty for feeling more sad for one hamster and a little less for the other. Everytime you lose a pet (or a human) your body and mind wil react different to the loss, this just happens. They all have a special place in your heart and thats all that matters ❤️
