As someone who doesn’t read the manga, I was frustrated by Kid getting one shot. After all he did to beat Big Mom, for him to be done in so embarrassingly because of his oversized ego was frustrating to watch.

Don’t want to buzzkill but I think you let the hype get to your head a little bit Rob. Shanks future sight was not as insane as you make it out to be. Not only was Kid already about to fire his attack when Shanks saw the future but he himself said that after he fires it he will destroy them in 10 seconds which makes sense given how fast dammed punk is so Shanks only saw about 10 seconds into the future(still the most impressive observation haki feat, but isn’t anywhere near one minute as you make it out to be).

You said a mouthful when you said Kid ran into the wrong person at the wrong time. This is exactly what happened to Law and Kid.. Luffy was the lucky one to end up on egghead. Luffy always happen to run into situation where he makes new allies on top of having a damn loyal and skillful crew.. Law and Kid literally had to get it out the mud and practically carries their crew.
Also Luffy crew are imo the most balanced. They have a damn near master swordsman, a damn good sniper, a tech man, a medic who is also a decent fighter when called, a soul king, a weather manipulator, and a "hands on" specialist with her own specialized skills, and a half human half cyborg powerhouse chef.
