I have the black 141 for a classic cafe racer. It’s one of my favorite jackets. I also have the 585 dark brown perfecto and the medium brown 508. Got them all at the Schott factory sale and spent a fraction of the retail price. That’s all the leather jackets I own from Schott but I also have a vest, a couple pea coats and toggle coats as well. Schott makes amazing outerwear.

Pretty cool in 2011 when I was 22, but was too big and would look like shit today. Went to the mall hell-bent on going home with something, bought one a $699 Polo leather jacket from Macy's. Was impressed with quality but it sat unworn in my closet for a few days as I wasn't 100% set on it. Then I remembered Schott existed, took back the Polo in a heartbeat and ordered a black 530. Stunning looking jacket, still on its way to me and I can't wait. I went crazy and ordered a navy nylon flight jacket while I was at it. Annihilated my bank account already this year but I desperately needed these style game enhancers. The brown looks fucking awesome too, I've gotta say. Definitely will need a brown when I've matured just a little more. Thanks for your video man 👍

Hey there sir. Greetings from Mexico, i now have a cafe racer leather jacket with a band collar in a heavy pebbled cowhide, it is nice and got it cut from a thrift shop Dockers spread collar jacket
5’10, 160lbs, 39-40” chest, 32” waist (jean size), athletic build. I got the Schott 530 in small at first but it was a bit snug on the chest and shoulder area. I ended up exchanging it for the medium and the fit is better in the chest and shoulders. A bit more roomier in the waist area. Sleeve is slightly long on the medium compared to small, but I think it’s supposed to be that way since it does get to the right length when bent over in riding position. Got the black and waiting on the brown.
liked your video, difficult to know what size to order im a 41 chest 36 waist 5ft 10 in medium or large? & in the UK ,sizing has to be right as it would cost a fortune to ship it back to the states for an exchange!
You can probably go with either size. This jacket on me is a large, and I’m a 42 chest, 36 waist, and 6 feet tall. I fit into the medium, but it was a bit too snug for layering purposes. Since you have an extra inch on your chest, you can probably pull off the medium, or if your funds allow, purchase both, and return whichever one you like less.

I think I may go with this one in black because I have two brown and I’m just looking for a deal or a might just bite the bullet. I’d love to get your opinion on jamin leathers cafe racer style I know it doesn’t have side pocket but the rest of the design is pretty nice with your experience I would really value your opinion.

Hello Tom,sad you had a dissonance with this jacket...its looks good on you. I think you shd have opted for a size to allow you to layer. ...i have some jackets for that, for winter,and really tight and slimmer one for warmer times. By the way i am not a minimalist nor ..the other term..😂forgot...all in all you are doing a great job.thx
Thank you! Maybe an Essentialist? I think that’s the word. Overall, this jacket just didn’t work for me. Too bright of a brown, and I didn’t like the thing underneath the zipper, it killed the broad shoulder silhouette that I’m going for. Thanks for watching!
Hi, Tom. I like what you do! I recently ordered Thursday Boot Co.'s leather jacket (I know you wear their boots and they seem legit). It's been only a week wearing the jacket (I work in an office in Chicago, IL and wear the jacket on my commute). The leather is already starting to peel and getting flaky a bit and it is concerning me. It's made with lambskin (at least they claim so). Is this normal?

I'm considering a Taylor Stitch Moto Jacket made by Golden Bear in Calif. in Expresso first choice and maybe this Schott second. Maybe....looks so much better here.

The problem with the double riders perfecto jacket is you can't wear them if you don't own a motorcycle. I love the perfecto style but i'm not sure if i'll ever own a motorbike.
I'm with you on that man. I used to ride but not for long, I sold my bike when I realized I was taking an unnecessary risk every day. The Perfecto looks badass, but I would just feel like a bike poser in it. Definitely a personal problem, people should wear exactly what they want to.

A size large may fit in your waist, but the sleeves and length would be too long. A medium may give you a better fit, as when I tried on medium, it fit, but was just a bit too snug. The medium might be too tight around your waist. It’s better to try it on in person or order it and make sure you can return it if it doesn’t fit.
I picked up the schott jacket you're wearing a few years back and LOVE it. It's perfect and no longer need to look for another one.

This was a while ago, but I remember that the jacket sleeves were a bit long, and the waist was a bit roomy. I have since sold this jacket.
