Rosalie is an adult. An adult, solo mom following the passing of her husband/life long partner. Shes raising 8 kids and doing so phenomenally! please think of that when leaving comments! If she can raise 8 kids, budget, coupon and do it alone...she obviously knew whether or not she could legally install a security system. 🤷♀️ Why are people so rude? Awesome Rosalie, I just ordered more cameras, well...."nanny cams"! Can never be to safe❤ Hugs!
When you post what security or announce where cameras are located it's easy for most people to take down , destroy or cover And employees from any company makes it that much easier to dismantle your security
Yes we all think Rosalie is wonderful and she is I did not try to direct or bring down anything that she had spoken. I simply shared with her what was shared with me when we had our home security.
Great idea. We have cameras all over our property. Even though our driveway is so long before you get to our factory/huge shed & houses we can keep an eye on our pets & if someone in the family does something silly. And trust me it can be a good laugh. Safety first. And oh my could those cuties tell you they love you just one more time. ❤😂😂😂
I love hearing from you Marg! You make me laugh. I was unable to send the second letter express (just so you know.) But I feel sure you will get it. Your place sounds fun! Hi Rosalie! I agree you can’t be too careful these days where security is concerned. I do hope you researched this company before allowing them to make all these changes. It’s imperative with any door to door these days as well. Also just curious. But here across the boarder where I am especially as a tenant. We aren’t allowed to change our locks without landlords express permission and consent and most times not without them installing it. It’s for emergency reasons they have this rule. Does your lease allow that in Canada? The no locks change rule here is especially true if you’re a renter in social housing meaning a voucher (previously called section 8) or family housing elsewhere or in senior or VA housing. Just some things to be aware of. If all checks out that’s fabulous!!! You guys all take care! Talk soon!! 😃👍🏻🌹
@@LuisaD93 Yes, we are allowed to add locks to the door where I am. They just ask you to unlock it if you are not home and they need to get in. And they always give you at least 24 hours notice, it’s the law.
@@Momof8kids ok that’s awesome and pretty much how we do things here as well. Do they require an extra key in case of an emergency and you’re not home? Here, they require it and an emergency doesn’t require the 24 hour notice. Most do but not in an emergency like say a fire, a gas leak, electrical fire, a flood etc. I’m always so happy to see you moving forward and upward. Keep being amazing! Luv ya friend! Had to edit: I realize you may be able to unlock it while not home. Same here with some systems but many housing places still want that dang key! lol

Please ignore the negative comments here. You're doing a good thing for yourself and the kids. Thats all that matters! ❤
Thank you Karen for your support! So many people like to put me down just to make themselves feel better. It is too bad there are such a large amount of people like that in the world. You are what I call "the best of humanity", and you shine through the darkness!
@@Momof8kids thank you so much Rosalie. I'd rather lift people up than tear them down. Good people don't try to destroy others. You're doing a great job, even through your pain and grief. Rise above their drama and keep doing YOU!!! Much love ❤
You don't even know for sure if the equipment is free? You "think" it's going to cost you about $30-$35 a month? Not sure if the monthly charges include tax? You really should double check exactly what it's going to cost you per month. Also, these cameras don't "prevent" theft. Someone can still steal your kids' bike and you can show the video footage to your local police but 99% of the time the video is not clear enough to 100% confirm the identity of the thieves and as such, police will do nothing and your stuff is still stolen. Plus, most thieves these days are very careful to hide their identity and avoid being picked up on surveillance cameras (everyone has cameras these days, this isn't a new thing). Most people in my neighborhood have this Telus package and every week someone's vehicle is behing stolen from driveway or home broken into/things taken from backyard and people post the footage on FB groups to ask if anyone recognizes the "thief" and nobody ever does because the video footage is not clear enough and the thugs wear non-descript clothing, cover or hide their faces, etc. What you "bought" is a false sense of security and you're now locked into a contract for 3 years.
Yes, I was thought conscious about that too. The equipment is mine during the 3 years and after. I said it didn't matter because I knew the price total already.
I’m a landlord & I wouldn’t have a problem with my tenants putting up cameras. We have to put security on all the windows & doors for our house insurance.. They won’t mind.
You didn't really break down the costs very well because you admittedly weren't even sure if the price of the equipment is free, definitely how much this will cost you per month (with or without tax) plus they made you switch to them as your phone or cell phone provider so that's going to cost you more per month. You've stated in the past that you live in government funded housing so did you first get permission to have your door locks changed? and have someone install a new wired doorbell and put holes in the side of your house to attach the camera? These are things you need to get permission for from your landlord or the government agency you rent from before you just go ahead and do it. Better make sure your rental agency or landlord now has a copy of your new keys, as required by law and your rental agreement.
Where I live you are permitted to add additional locks to the door. They just ask that you unlock it if you are not going to be home when they need to get in. It is the law that they give you at least 24 hours notice beforehand. The equipment is mine throughout and at the end of the 3 year term. I said it didn't matter about paying for the equipment because the price was not going to change.
