    Now This was a great review!!!!! Very simple not a lot talking you just showcased the capabilities of the truck and folks are not happy with the 4 cylinder engine I’m thinking Toyota was founded on the durability of there compact engines like the legendary 22RE and the 2.4 liters they are the most bulletproof engines made these Tacomas will prove as reliable as the last gen I’ll bet on it

    while watching this video, i found myself thinking about the nissan frontier video you did last week, how the shock absorber broke before you guys got two yards into the ditch. i`m going to guess that truck was used by someone already and thats how the shock was busted, and not by steve driving it for 30 seconds. not making excuses for the nismo shock, but i find it very hard to believe that anything but plastic would break within 30 seconds and only two yards and only going as fast as a turtle in the mud. maybe ask nissan if the truck was loaned out or taken off road before it was delivered to you?

      @imnotusingmyrealname4566 2 месяца назад

      @@melissasmess2773 Sarcasm is lame. Today a V8 is sadly an impossibilty but the 2nd gen Tacoma could have had one! The Dodge Dakota had a V8 and Toyota could've put their 2UZ-FE 4.7L V8 in the Tacoma so it would finally have decent power. The 3rd gen should have never gotten the 3.5L, the 4.0L from the 4Runner was the appropriate engine for it.
      As for the towinh capacity, your comparison is ridiculous. A V8 in a mid-size today is almost a fever dream, but 7700 lbs is the cold hard reality of things. Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon have a 7700 lbs towing capacity, Ford Ranger 7500 lbs and the Nissan Frontier 6640 lbs. The 2024 Tacoma has a towing capacity of 6500 lbs, the worst in its class!
      A towing capacity of over 7000 lbs is something you should expect of a brand new mid-size truck. Heck, the 2008 Dodge Dakota had a 7050 lbs towing capacity!
      Imagine you need to rent a full-size truck because your mid-size can't tow 7500 lbs 🤣. I thought you bought a truck so you can do truck stuff with your do-it-all vehicle.
      The hybrid certainly has excellent power, best in class actually, and I trust it a lot more than the GM 2.7L grenade of a 4-cylinder. Honestly the choice between the regular 2.4 turbo and the hybrid would be tricky for me as I really like the simplicity of the traditional powertrain, but the power of the hybrid is so nice.
      If I would buy the hybrid I'd have to remove the exterior and interior hybrid noises though. I absolutely hate those. I would also change the ECU programming so that the engine would always be running. Pressing the start button and the engine not starting feels so wrong. I don't want an EV!
      Frankly a V8 today is still something that can be done. It's just that nobody wants to. Toyota should have made these engines:
      2.0L inline-4
      2.5L inline-5
      3.0L V6
      4.0L V8
      and made turbo and hybrid variants of all them, offering multiple engines per vehicle for maximum flexibilty and customer choice.
