Ren call this style Bardcore (like the bard Jaskier in The Witcher but in modern times) and here's the origin story of the trilogy 🤩😁🤯 This wasn't originally a trilogy story. Ren read a small article in the paper about a 14 yr old boy killing a young prostitute with a knife, in an attempted robbery. Knife crimes had been skyrocketing in London at that time. Later that same evening the boy had been shot and killed by the police . This disturbed him, so he set out to write a commentary, but not just on senseless violence, but also on how desensitized we've become to it. The words he ends both Jenny and Screech's Tales with speaks for itself. "It's such a Shame" we say these words all to often, and just move on without a second thought. The the lead inspector at the scene said " So Young, It's such a shame". Violets Tale was written over 2 years later adding yet another layer of commentary by Ren. He wanted us to consider not only generational violence but to make us look at all angles of society that we turn a blind eye to Domestic violence/child abuse & homeless youths. Both characters are born out of violence on that cruel night and then both killed with brutal violence on the same evening 14 yrs later. Also, his lyrics have even more meaning when you read in between the lines. For example he doesn't say what Jenny was doing or why she wanted to escape from this place & life, or why Screech thought she was older then himself by saying at Patrick's door "I left this lady lying on the floor". Could it be the way she's dressed & her heavy makeup? Also why is a 14yr old girl out so late at night alone in a sketchy area wearing high heels & thats "she's walked it a thousand times before" everything points to Jenny being an underage prostitute, showing us what Ren writes has reason & makes us think. There's no fat on the bone, every word is weighed & has meaning. Also, how can both these siblings be so cursed? Jenny has the same traits as her mother Violet, quiet, voiceless, and timid. Where as Screech mirrors his father Stevie in every way, Loud, obnoxious, and easily prone & provoked into violence. They didn't know one another and had never met their biological parents. What made these kids so much like their parents? Was it simply Nature, inherited traits due to their genetic make-up OR Nurture, being brought up in the broken governmental system filled with, mistreated & in many cases, abused children? He organically takes us on this journey, leaving us to think shouldn't we be doing a better job in this so called "advanced, wealthy, 1st world society. Love your channel guys, Cheers 🥂
The effect of winding time back at the start is neat, but also when time is wound forward again after the assault, to Violet in the hospital (that often seems to get missed).
If you think about it, the twin's father (Stevie) would have been in prison (or on the run), and the mother (Violet) had died, so the twins would have been put into the fostering/adoption system and probably separated, so ended growing up without knowing each other.
Ren tries to tell us the big reveal several times in Violet's tale but we miss it every time. He wrote this in 2019 and he says 2005 many times. Screech was 14 years old and that would make it the year 2005. Every word is so intentional. I enjoy your reactions, keep it up!
It was a cycle. Jenny ended up like Violet & Screech like Stevie. Yes they would of been separated. Because Violet was Murdered by Steve. Violets parents was drunk and abusive dad. He got the idea from a newspaper story he said. Just the thought. Wasn’t how it played out exactly.
Ren has a video on his RUclips channel doing the Tales live and he wrote a little filler song/ditty thing that doesn't really add to the other three Tales, but it's a cool addition. He also reads a really great peom he wrote and he gave the paper to a fan. During the part where he does the phone call he jokes around a bit. It's amazing seeing his personality and how funny he is but also how much he cares about his fans. The video is awesome though. It starts with the camera following hundreds of Ren's fans walking from the main roads into one of the alleyways where Ren filmed The Tales. He set up a small stage with a PA in the alley and there's a parking lot in front of him that's filled with people. There's so many people that some climed up on the outside of the surrounding buildings and he told everyone to please be careful and don't fall. But he's actually taken back by how many people showed up. There's alot lol There's two different style videos from the live session. One is a static camera that's just focused on Ren and the other is a 360 camera video where you can look all around as he's performing. Also, if you take out the "N" in Violent you get Violet.
it's not "JUST an assumption"…... it was an implication from the artist, so it's the ONLY (reasonable) assumption. deductive reasoning = educated guess (ie. generally, the correct answer)
I saw another commenter post that the reason Stevie was calling Violet a slut is that she was already pregnant...by her father. That's even darker if true.
There is a live (with crowd) of the Story of Jenny & Screech in full 360, we can move the camera : Ren - The Tale of Jenny and Screech (Full 360 Live Performance) : ruclips.net/video/S_hs8EkWeZg/видео.html
there are other videos that go along with these likes screches death ruclips.net/video/KMaLHODne5c/видео.html&ab_channel=Ren and screch before he ran into jenny but i cant seem to find that one its really long

Wow thanks!
Jenny & Screech were aligned side by side at birth and death!
I love how he purposely chose spots in the building (such as singing up into the stairway) to utilize the different natural reverbs.
Agreed, but the timing between these seems impossible and he pulls it off without a sweat.
The effect of winding time back at the start is neat, but also when time is wound forward again after the assault, to Violet in the hospital (that often seems to get missed).
You guys got the story straight away , so many don't get it , great vid thanks guys :)
The guitar play is mesmerizing !!! Brilliant play Ren ...you godsend genius !! Great reaction guys !!!

Wow 🔥
I really enjoy your reactions 😊 Lots of Ren and The Big Push that you haven’t reacted to yet for you to enjoy
Coming soon!
If you think about it, Screech may have been taking after the father, while Jenny was taking after Violet. Further repeating the cycle.

To tuck a tie I think is another word for an ham shank…….
He tucked her tight
My parents used to ‘tuck me in’ to bed, but they left the room…
Just meant getting you comfortable in bed. 👍
Great react guys!
that was a fun ride
Thanks for watching 👀
I saw another commenter post that the reason Stevie was calling Violet a slut is that she was already pregnant...by her father. That's even darker if true.
😲
That's what I thought. Daddy did it, Stevie figured she was cheating. How messed up a life these people had in the story.
👍
