The Kofu dialect is great. I thought I would hear it in this video. Kofu is my mother’s hometown. I’m half japanese & half american, born & raised in nyc. From infancy until age 16, my summers were spent in Kofu. I was lucky enough to attend nursery through middle during those visits. Anyway, it is a lovely place to visit.

Potential topics could be: are colors in the Japanese language i-adjectives, na-adjectives, or nouns? Does the character for 'tea' come from the character for 'brown', or is it the other way round? What's the history behind 青 meaning blue, green, and even purple and grey? Just some ideas 😊

While I speak Japanese pretty fluently I pick up little bits of information from your videos that are very refreshing and bring back memories. For example the direction system in Kofu using NSEW reminded me that I lived on the 東西線 for about 5 years in Japan. Also, I pick up new vocabulary, too!

And then the closed Japanese language school! Interesting. Why not reopen it as both a Japanese and English language school If you have a wealthy business partner (笑). For teaching English I would focus on the University of Yamanashi's students and professors. That was a dream I had some time ago, ie, to open such a school for biomedical scientists. I wanted to name the school BioLingual. I did teach a course called Biotechnology at a so-called culture school called Tokyu BE (owned by the Tokyu Railway Group near Shibuya Station, Tokyu Plaza) when I first came to Japan as an English teacher, though the school no longer exists. Sorry for my babbling, btw!
Sensei, another question! The trees planted along the road, 街路樹 ... is that the trees themselves? How about 並木道? Are the trees in the 並木道 also 街路樹, or is it something different? This video is really interesting, and gives me plenty of questions :)
Another good question! 並木道 is 並木の道, and 道 means street, so 並木道 means "street with 並木." 並木 means 街路樹, though we don't usually call roadside trees 並木, but 街路樹. 街路樹 is 街路の樹, and 街路 means "street," though we don't say 街路 to mean "street," but the meaning of the Kanji is "city （街）street（路）," and 樹 means "tree." So 街路樹 means trees themselves. You can ask as many questions as you need :)
