Sup ! Floor the dsg a little bit more , you'll hit the forced downshit switch ! ;) wont be so long before it downshifts
Do we look like people who don’t floor it the most lol
LOL just thought you didnt know as you said its taking a long time downshifting
I own the 2017 Sport with DSG and prefer it for the quick shifts and the pops. Only downside is the wet dual clutch requires a very expensive maintence every 40000 miles
@@TheStraightPipes i think vw still hides a button under the accelerator so Floored vs mashed lol the button in the older 5 cylinders was the only at to get them to open up
Yuri complains about the downshifts of the dsg but keeps the car in eco haha
yuri's a silly boi
Looked like a set-up for failure on Yuri’s part. Love my GTI with dsg (but I can’t have a stick - prosthetic legs!j.
@@larryeckerdt9750 If you don't mind me asking, how difficult is it to use the pedals, and how much feel do you have?
@Brian Orent Ankles don’t articulate, so it’s hand controls (that don’t interfere with a regular driver). No way to use launch control, because gas and brake are same lever in opposite directions. Haven’t hit anyone yet!
I know, that's super annoying. That automatically invalidates his opinion on the DSG. As someone who owns a DSG GTI its extremely fast shifting in Sport mode. Split second shifts.
I drove both the GTI & the N. The 2019 GTI is in my driveway. I regret nothing.
TheMustacheMurderer lol!
Good choice
What was your reasoning? These two cars are the main two cars that I'm looking at right now.
@@anthonyantoine9232 Interior is a huge thing that's for sure. Overall quality the GTI wins. It's a lot more refined for a daily. The Veloster N however, wins in stock performance. I've yet to see the potential of these cars, but the GTI has a long history of being a rocket after some basic tunes. The N is just too cheap for me to sit in everyday, I'll admit it's a lot more fun stock for stock than the GTI.
Im about to get a 2020 GTI autobahn, super excited for it
DSG is unbelievable with a tune.
Drove the N, was absolutely blown away by how good it was. Bought a GTI, just an all around better daily car
good choice my friend. with the larger interior space and cargo space, GTI make more sense if you have to drive it everyday for everything.
I don't own either but I feel like the gti is better overall and for long term. The gti is polished and refined IMO
i feel like you made a good choice. a friend of mine has a stock veloster (non turbo), and the engine blew at just over 100,000 km. his mom has the turbo, engine blew at 120,000km. seems odd to me that they both blew an engine just out of warranty from daily driving an automatic.
@@TerribleUsernameAmirite Hyundai felt, correctly I think, that the Veloster N with its lower price point and lighter weight would attract enough additional buyers to make it more profitable in the US. In general it appears that Hyundai decided to introduce one or the other vehicle in most, if not all, national markets. Europeans get the i30N reflecting the appeal of sports sedans in those markets while North Americans get the "hot hatch" Veloster N, instead.
I would have gone with veloster N. Everyone praises how fun it is. It's an honor that the old chief of the
BMW M DIVISION made this car. It speaks for itself. He wouldn't let a car go out in production without that German elegance on the road. You feel me bro @AndrewBarlow
Didn't realize I clicked a Veloster N Review
Correction: The DSG GTI does indeed have launch control. We did try to use it but it didn't work for some reason. But it does have it, as we confirmed with Volkswagen Canada
I was scrolling down to comment this. My 2018 SE has it, and I thought how weird VW would drop that feature. Keep up the awesome videos, I have bought 2 cars based on your reviews!
There aren't 2 ways of pronouncing "decal".....
I have the leaon ST FR with the 7 speed dsg and I can confirm the launch control isn't worth having. It just doent grip and you get violent wheel hop. Until 3rd. Or even forth if its cold.
If it's wet, it's actually quicker in normal than sport for the same reasons too. I have a great single lane country road I drive down every night form work. If wet, sport is about 10s slower over a 5 min hoon form one end to the other. Lots of short burts and slow corners. The lsd in the cupra edition helps out alot.
Also the armrest MOVES FORWARD at least my 2017 does. Just pull the lever and pull it?
Also you can extend that arm rest.
Yuri: "This DSG is boring"
Also Yuri: *keeps car in eco mode*
Why take it out of eco if you find the transmission boring?
@@DarklightRebel He thought it was boring because he LEFT it in eco. That's the worst spot, it should at least he in normal, and the sport mode is the fastest shifting automatic in the world(besides supercars and much more expensive cars of course).
@@roboticvenom1935 pretty sure he's driven it in sport mode at some point. I have, and I find it boring because it's an automatic. You guys are fixating on the Eco mode. This isn't about the mode, it's about the fact that manual is simply more fun, regardless of mode. But keep reaching I guess.
@@DarklightRebel I'm pretty sure he hasn't because there's no reason to leave it in damn eco mode throughout the majority of the review when it should at least be in manual, ALSO, since I own a mk7 GTI, it didn't even look like he used sport mode around the cliche corner
@@DarklightRebel One would assume using one of the sportier modes would possibly speed up the shifts, but I won't make a definitive statement because I don't know for sure if that's the case with the GTi.
The arm rest does move forward! Pull lever that raises it and pull it forward
I do it all the time instead of pulling it up, it's gotten a bit frustrating
it doesn't matter. it's a VW so it will be broken soon enough.
@@jayt4697 stupid.
Jay T stupid.
The way Yuri pronounces decal should be illegal
LOL what about his pronunciation of Manual "manwell" 6:16 LOL
Canadians eh
As someone who used to make decals, I agree. If you can't say 'decal' right, say 'sticker'. :D
@@corbelius6 I thought that was a joke. I hope it was a joke.
If Jakub didn’t say it correctly after I wouldn’t have understood what Yuri was talking about lol
"it takes forever to downshift"
"I just mostly left it in econ mode"
huh...i wonder why it wasn't fast lol
Put it in Econ after realizing sport wasn’t super fast
@@TheStraightPipes Was that before or after you failed to get the car to launch with launch control?
@@TheStraightPipes Nah u such a hater Yuri
GTI is a million times better looking than the i30n, nicer interior design, better reliability
I have a 2018 GTI SE and I don't know about the GTI being a million times better looking. They are both nice and probably the same on reliability. Albert Biermann from BMW had a hand designing the i30N and Veloster N, so it does have German influence. Both great cars. If i30N was offered in the states I would have loved to try one.
Affinity we have the veloster N here which is very similar
@@conortrapani616 Similar in performance, but the rear seats make it a useless car for me so I would never buy it. I would have considered an I30N though.
No.
Yuri is such a GTI hater, leaving the car in Eco mode and complaining that it's not a quick shifter / not as fast or fun / etc.
Also, GTI definitely has launch control and definitely has an adjustable armrest where your arm reaches the steering wheel.
jazzguitar13 Exactly. I was come on man. Just trying to find reasons to complain.
@@Slim_Pickens Yeah I love these guys but this one was just a full-on hate fest from Yuris end xD
There is a delay between hitting the paddles and feeling the car shift, including in sport mode. I considered an automatic, and decided on a manual, it's just more fun. I'm pretty sure he feels that way as well. He wasn't hating on the car, he was hating on the transmission.
@@DarklightRebel There's only a noticeable delay when cruising around. If you give it some gas the shift are very quick, especially in Sports mode.
Even my base model mk6 gti has launch control
Came for biased manual fanboy review. Leaving satisfied.
Also, Yuri is clearly a GTI hater.
vr6gls yeah I’m up for manual too
DSG makes no sense in a GTI, in an R its understandable because it launches like hell, but in the GTI the front wheel drive will ruin it anyway so I would prefer the more engaging manual...oh and its also cheaper.
Actus Are you serious dude?? DSG makes perfect sense in a GTI. Especially if the GTI will be your daily driver. The DSG is faster, can hold more power, more convenient and more comfortable. Engagement and being fun to drive is a purely a subjective opinion. Manual fans act like their opinion is the only one that matters.
I much prefer the DSG in my GTI for spirited and track driving because it allows me to focus on steering, braking and car control. That is what I driver should be focused on while driving.
This “review” was pointless because going into this both of these guys already were biased going into it. 👎
vr6gls it might seem biased but I’m going go for the manual I’m okay with the DSG for the RS3 but the GTI it has to be a manual transmission that is one of the requirements of a hot hatch and I like the R more and it is a great car with the 6-speed manual
But I would get the Veloster N over the GTI
BASITH PH Fine and that is your opinion. However, you can’t present your objective opinions as facts. The DSG being faster, more convenient and more comfortable are objective facts that cannot be debated.
A manual transmission does not make every car better. In many cases in today’s automotive landscape, the opposite is true. I value performance over being a wannabe Paul Walker.
Absolutely loving the content guys, hands down my favourite channel currently
I'm mesmerized by that "dialogue" between the two in separate cars. It's so smooth to watch.
This felt like the most complete review in a long time. Seemed to hit all the marks of their best reviews. Great Reivew Guys!
Always love your reviews but have to say - I'm more and more impressed with the chances you guys are taking with your camera angles. Great videography!
Since my first DSG in my ‘08 Jetta Wolfsburg 2.0T, I’d never again be biased. The DSG’s are amazing transmissions!
I like how Jakub is wearing a plaid shirt that matches the plaid seat upholstery.
1. DSG had launch control
2. Arm-rest is adjustable
3. Downshifts are slow, but you’re in ECO mode😂
Overall, still a good review. Definitely the best car in its class.
Dude driving the DSG clearly has no clue about the capability of the car he's testing.
Why is Yuri such a GTI hater? 🤔 VW didn’t like his hoodies?
I think he just enjoyed the golf R alot more
I knowwww right?? I absolutely LOVE my GTI! Especially being a daily driver, It's just absolutely perfect!
ontheaction1 it seems like he is more into Veloster N, but it doesn’t compete with GTI overall as a great daily driver. As a weekend cheap track car - maybe, cause it has more power and it’s more like a race schoolboy car. In terms of what they have to compare Veloster N with GTI TCR or Clubsport, which has a record for fwd on Nurburgring, btw. But nothing beats GTI in daily driving. I checked interior of every Hyundai and they are far below even the cheapest VW.
Tibet Akyurekli fully agree
@@MrTibblez the best daily driver I've ever owned.
The arm rest in this car is the best!! It ratchets up so if your arms are long enough you can get both elbows propped up.
In 2008 I bought a new Golf GTi manual in Tornado red. I still have it 11 years later. It's a truly great car.
the GTI with DSG does indeed have launch control btw
Jack Johnson the North American market might not include it unless it’s the top spec, but I dunno! I’m from England and my standard GTI has it so I can see where you’re coming from!
The base S models, even Dsg has launch control.
👍 (US)
Instructions are in the Owner's Manual too.
You're right! We made a mistake. We did try to use it but it didn't work for some reason. But it does have it, as we confirmed with Volkswagen Canada
You're right! We made a mistake. We did try to use it but it didn't work for some reason. But it does have it, as we confirmed with Volkswagen Canada
Armrest = You can move it. My base 2017 golf has it too
Both of our 2019 GTI REs are adjustable in height and length.
This is also documented in the Owner's Manual.
Your 2017 golf? How about my 2006 golf 5 😂
Your right...my 2015 golf tdi goes up and forward
@@swingbag12 ya so they just didn't bother or downgraded the brand new 2019 gti
@@TheG60528XiJinPing wrong topic. And nope.
4:01 that's some slick editing. Very nice!
I hear what you're saying about the Veloster N in terms of performance. But I just can't get over the stupid asymmetrical doors!
The i30 N looks much better and the i30 fastback N way much better.
And the fact it is south Korean crap hyundai that will start rattling within 15,000 miles
T. S where do you get that from? I have a 15 Veloster turbo with 30 k miles and a 15 cla 45 with 27 k miles and the Veloster has no rattle anywhere compared to the baby amg. If anything, the Veloster I treated worse and still feels like it’s in perfect shape. I had to wrap the cla 45 because Mercedes paint wast as good quality as the Hyundai
@@noirceur_ If this were ten years ago, I totally agree, but Hyundai and Kia have come a long way in terms of quality in the last decade. My experience is that they are at least competitive with North American cars for quality if not usually better.
@@SiderisSpyros I agree it's a good looking car if you only look at it from one side. I just can't stand that it isn't symmetrical.
Edit: I did not realise the what the i30 N was. I agree, it's beautiful. It's also not coming to North America... Which makes it not an option.
I bought a GTI with the Manual. The clutch started slipping at 34k miles with no mods. I drove a manual RSX Type-S for 7 years with no clutch slip, so clutch slip was not caused by me. VW refused to fix despite being under warranty.
So I traded it for a DSG, because clutch failure that early in a stock car was unacceptable. I ended up loving the DSG better. Its more fun to me because its faster and because launch mode. Plus its less likely to fail.
CONCLUSION: Do not buy a manual GTI unless you're okay with having to putting a higher performing clutch, many others have had clutch failure early in the GTI too. The stock clutch in the GTI are too weak for the power this car has, but the stock DSG is nearly indestructible with being able to handle over 450 lbs of torque.
Ya but a vw is a real race car
yes thanks! we dont have enough gold video from you guys!
i love seeing my favorite roads in the videos guys, keep up the great work
I just dont like the size of the Veloster N...either be a coupe or be a four door hatch...that 3 door mess makes me uninterested...
Same here. Make it a 4 door and I would want it.
What about the audi a5 coupe? It looks sporty and great
I bought a new 2019 Golf R in DSG thanks in part to your Golf R comparison video. I couldn't be happier with my choice, it's a fantastic ride.
Smart Buy
Oh My God you guys are too GOOD its unbelievable!! ... soon you'll have a million then more
love my GTI, got a used '16 earlier this year & it's such a blast to drive.
& the exterior mounted cameras are looking great! keep up the good vids guys.
Have a mk6 GTI and absolutely love it, the rabbit edition looks awesome!
One of the overlooked aspects of the MK6 vs MK7 is the MK6 is made in Germany while the MK7 is made in Mexico. The differences in build quality and fit and finish is subtle but noticeable. It's the first thing I notice when sitting in a new GTI, cheaper plastic here and there. The MK7 is definitely better than the MK6 due to the MQB platform and more power.
NEW SEGMENT ALERT!!!! The Hard Touch Plastic Test.
I own a MK7 and sat in a Veloster N at an auto show - hard touch plastics everywhere it was insane.
Actually really valuable to hear the tone differences!
The N performance is fantastic, but, inside it is decidedly low rent...hard plastics everywhere.
Here's the thing. It's not how much hard touch plastics are there, it's what it looks like and the Euros still blow everything else away in terms of interior design
@Gabriel hernandez nah.
when I first watched this video when it came out I wanted a GTI so bad. Then a year later I made it happen and couldn't be happier.
damn, I haven't been here in a while, and I have missed a lot of great stuff! Also big congrats on 455k!
YES I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE THE GOLF R
Veloster is great but i think people prefer the quality of the Gti, but what do i know :P
I've driven the Veloster N and the GTI. Honestly Hyundai has improved SO much. The interior in that car is stellar, and the infotainment in the N (all Hyundai) is amazing.
This was one of my deciding factors with the GTI, it just so damn nice, and just a quick easy ECU tune and the car comes ALIVE!
I love the look of old VW Bugs - but the reliability of the modern VWs in my experience (after owning 3) is crap! I’ve owned 2 Kia’s and the reliability is top notch! I will never go back to any German car!
Well speaking of reliability, newer generation of VW cars are actually crap. I hate to admit that korean actually making good quality cars these days.
German cars are not something to rely on anymore. With those innovation and technology, their cars are getting more complicated and less reliable.
Love you guys. Keep em coming!
Yesssssssssssss you guys I've been waiting for this! ❤
The GTI Looks so much better than the Velocter, at least in that picture.
100%!!! Velocter doesn’t have the legacy of the GTI, I get it’s a good/fun car, but it just doesn’t draw me in with its appearance.
And i'm still here with my gti mk4 from the early 2000, still happy tho
1.8t or vr6?
Love you guys!!! best reviews on RUclips🙌
Excellent camera work gentlemen! I’m in the market for a GTI and this video was extremely helpful. Thank you and God bless.
Veloster over a GTI that's the best joke I've heard all week 🤣😭😁
First Straight Pipes video I watched was last year's GTI review. I ended up with a 2018 SE w/the DSG. No real complaints, I do not like the styling of the competition. The Golf gives you plenty of headroom and practicality with decent performance and solid comfort for short and long hauls. I think it has the right amount of power for a FWD vehicle of its size, I could also do with less gloss black in the interior.
I was originally waiting for the new Mazda 3 and in now in hindsight, I'm very happy I picked the GTI. The Veloster performance looks stellar especially for the price range but the styling and interior is not my taste at all.
Das Ninjastix the entire Volkswagen line looks like it was designed by adults. Many other males look like kids designed them. Honda and Toyota are not good now IMO. Volkswagen is winning market share partly because of others’ over styling.
Das Ninjastix Mazda 3 was like driving a melted tub of butter compared to the GTI.
I was just doing my research on this car and you guys posted this. It's like you can read minds.
Great to see the GTI back on your channel! Just bought a 2018 Autobahn GTI that had been sitting in my local lot for a year, got a great deal on it. Y'all helped to convince me to give it a chance. I tried a Velocter N but I got a kid now, need a usable backseat. Though, if Elantra N / i30N was an option, I would have bought that without second thought.
i didn't get notifications but early! thanks RUclips recomendations!
Yo hit the bell
The Veloster N is great (as is its i30 N sister car) but it is F I R M! The Golf GTI is a much better all-rounder, and its interior doesn't look like it's made by Fisher Price. I've had my 2019 GTI Original (a 3-door limited edition they did here in Australia) manual and I absolutely adore it so far.
Today is game 7 of Bruins vs Leafs, Bruins won both game 7s of last two appearances between them, let’s hope the last Canadian team still keeps their chance alive! Go Leafs!
Oh, and I saw you at the Raptors game and Jakub wearing Leafs jersey at that game, on Instagram
I have a 2016 autobahn manual gti and I absolutely love it, I drive it everyday to school and work and have never had an issue with wanting the DSG. Manual and gti all the way!!!!
Just if they had the i30N in North America... but since we’re stuck with the Veloster, my bet will always be on the GTI.
If it was a 1v1 with the GTI and i30N, I think you’d really have to weigh what your goals are with the car, because both cars do their jobs to near perfection.
I30 n from everything I’ve seen. I even seen one at Sema in person. It was awesome.
There's something to be said about the classic good looks, lines, and reputation of the GTI. The Veloster may be an awesome car, but the GTI is an old favorite with modern specs.
Love the new camera angles 🙏
Gotta say the 360 camera usage is fantastic! The side by side shot where the blue one drove past... Great!
The camera work is awesome. Is it a motorcycle mount system or a really fast drone?
Close ups im Pretty sure its the camera on the cars(u cant see them)
HEY, can someone tell me what camera mount setup they are using to take some of those 3rd person type shots of them driving ?
The DSG on the GTI does have launch control. And the armrest does let you select any angle and slides forward so you can rest your arm while holding the steering wheel!
4 years later, and I’m still in love with my GTI Rabbit in Cornflower Blue, and yes, I definitely went with the manual. Best decision ever! 🐇
🤙🏻🤙🏻
The reason these two think the armrest does not slide forward is simple. They reviewed the Golf R first and the armrest on the Golf R does NOT slide forward like they do on the GTI and base Golf. I'm disappointed they didn't try sliding it first before saying that.
Still and always will be the number 1 hot hatch
Great review guys! Actually DSG GTI does have launch control. Sport mode, traction off, brake, gas. Arm rest slides forward in the SE so I would think it would in the Rabbit as well.
Love the GTI and love the auto vs manual video. I would get the manual no question about it. Great video guys !
I had a 2012 GTI 3-door manual. Videos like this make me wonder why I ever traded it in.
y did you?
Duh
Even if the Veloster N out drove the GTI, the cheap plastic interior bits is a no go for me. I actually really like how nice my Mk7.5 GTI is inside and it's one of the main reasons I picked it over the Si, WRX, and the ST. If it's a car I'm going to daily and spend a lot of time in, I want a nice interior in addition to being fun to drive.
ALSO. As far as the manual vs DSG. If you're planning to tune these cars, the manual can't handle much more additional torque and tunes eat up clutches on that. Even the low-torque tunes still end up needing sooner clutch replacements. The DSG is good for upwards of 400lb-ft of torque supposedly.
Nah the DSG's don't have a power limit yet. If they were only good for 400 horsepower then they'd break with JUST a tune that gives you 370 wtq. The DSG's haven't been broken yet, and the DSG is bone stock in IROZ's mk7 GTI with 550-600 whp and 600 wtq.
jrmt6 the DSg in my Mark 6 could take 500 bhp
Manuals with clutches can handle the additional torque if you know how to handle it..
@@stevenyia2778 Only if you upgrade them a ton, stock clutches can't handle jack. And it'll always wear out pretty quickly.
@@roboticvenom1935 That's why I said upwards of 400. I know it can go higher lol
Ohhhh, I see youse going down the escarpment on Appleby line :-) Keep up the awesomeness guys...always appreciate the reviews.
This was the first video I’ve seen from you guys. I like the conversations and the amount of content covered. So many channels take too long to say something
Thanks, watch some of our other "normal" videos when we're both in the same car
C'mon guys the armrest does move forward and also moves and stays up, at least in my 2017 GTI S. Nice reviews, keep it up!!!
They said a lot of inaccuracies in this video.
Came here to say this, my '17 arm rest moves forward but I never do it.
My 2007 golf has it😂
Guys props to you for calling out hyundai n division as a sports car manufacturer. Some people just cant accept that Hyundai can make cars other than value oriented ones.
It's not that they can't accept it. It's Hyundai's build quality and durability that concerns people. Sport hatches get thrashed around and need to do many jobs because of their purpose. I've worked on both makes of cars and have honestly seen some terrible issues when I take apart a Hyundai. The interiors don't hold up as well either. Hopefully they start building them better and stronger for their performance line.
That Rabbit Edition Is My Favorite & I Love The DSG 🇺🇸.
As an owner of a mk7 manual i constantly debate on if I made the right choice against the DSG. Perfect video, loved hearing the opinions against the 2 transmissions and the comparisons of rival hatches!
I would take the GTI over the veloster N because the GTI has a usable backseat... if there was an Elantra N hatchback in the states I would pick that over the GTI all day.
My sentiments exactly.
I'm from Germany and I have the i30n ( elantra n ) ! Had an mk6 gti before and I test drove 2 mk7 gti's! I think the gti is the better Allrounder but the i30n is much more fun! But both are great cars!
This is exactly how I feel.
It'd be even nicer if they had the i30n Fastback here. 😍
People pick the Golf because this car has a legacy and been around for more than 30 years. Veloster N is the new kid on the block.
It’s been around well over 30 years
I drove a number of Hyundais when they first came to the U.S. in the 90's and then rented a Veloster 2 years ago. I can't do it. I'm the modern-era version of the guy who refuses to buy Honda in the 60's because of "The War." Sigh. Make mine Mazda, Toyota, Honda...
This is good journalism there . Comparison and personal preference balance
Rabbit Edition!! 👍👍👍👍. Another great review gents!!👍👍👍
The Veloster N is probably a fantastic car to drive but it's still dumb as hell. Why would I want three doors
Veloster N misses a very important design element of a hatchback. Practicality.
Kudos for a great use of a 360 camera!
This video + your 2018 GTI review led me to buy a manual 2019 GTI S trim (my first manual) in Great Falls Green. I'm loving it!
Still got it? How's the green been I love that color

Apr stg 1 ECU / TCU fixes SO many issues. DSG if you don't want to replace that clutch though.
Aren’t DSGs prone to fail around 70k+ Miles?
Alexander De La Cruz I have 137k miles on my DSG GTI, no problems at all. Just make sure the fluid is changed every 40k miles per specs.
@@AlexD02 No, DSG's don't fail at all in 70k miles. Essentially none have failed in mk7's, are you thinking of an older generation because that makes no sense buddy
Mk7 GTI owner here with the 6 speed. The DSG also has clutch friction plates, which are stupid costly to replace. Rather replace a good old single-disk. Also, if you’re a good driver, manual clutches are known to last very long. Tuned cars are different stories altogether.
@@647killa True, but it's extremely rare to see those fail. They last, and the DSG hasn't even had ANY issues on IROZ's race car with around 600 whp and 600 wtq(built motor of course since rods max out at 420-450 wtq. Not to mention the fact that clutches are expensive and stupid weak on mk7's, after just putting a baby tune on your car the clutch is trash and you'll have to go aftermarket, it's also something you have to replace at a certain interval each time. Not to mention the incredible difference between speeds of the DSG's and manuals,
I sense bias when comparing veloster n. Imo the interior is inferior.
I have the 7 speed dsg I'm my Loen ST FR and it's very nice indeed. I love a manual, but after 20 years and a dicky back, I'm now an auto convert.
Having seen that Cornflower Blue in person, I was immediately jealous of it (I bought my R in Lapiz Blue). That Cornflower is an outstanding colour.
@@effa114 Don't get me wrong, I love the Lapiz, but there is something about that Cornflower Blue that speaks to racing, or something intangible I can't quite put my finger on.
I'm also finding that the Lapiz is a very soft paint, which is the only thing that makes me regret it as a choice. I'm going to have to be extra careful during washes etc.
Because EA888 is very tunable and alot of aftermarket support. You can make a bunch a power. KDM aftermarket support is not there in comparison. A $700 tune in the gti and you are in the power of the N (probably a bit more depending on tune provider)
Joe or $400 JB4.
@@JoJoJoker was giving the most expensive stage 1 tune I know of.
Joe yup! I’m on my 3rd APR car.
But tunes void the factory warranty. Something to note. I'm APR II on the last year of the mk6 platform. VW refused the intake manifold warranty due to TD1.
I love the interior of the new golf
I want to put the seats in my 90 CRX
GTI is better because I don't get to work on a track, in fact, I don't get anywhere on a track. Definitely a bargain, but a rabbit edition GTI just has the better offer being that it sacrifices 50hp compared to the N to give it better comfort and imo styling.
I'm always reminded of a review of the last gen Focus ST by a dutch youtuber who said "If you like fondling dashboards, buy the Golf GTI, if you like driving, get the ST". I think the same thing applies now with the Veloster N.
Have never pressed a notification faster. Love from Australia ❤️❤️
