Here's a lot of funny moments of Double D trying to do physical activities, but not being able to handle them very well. He's my favorite character in the show. This is also a video idea I got from work, which is probably the opposite of Ed's Immense Power?

I wouldn’t last a day recording an episode with the voice actors. It seems hilarious to hear all the dialogue
The Swedish voice actor for Ed was audibly losing it during the "dirt woodpecker" scene.
Gotta give him credit. He was able to do 1 overhand pull-up. Not only that, his head was over the bar, and he was able to hold it for a few seconds.

To be honest, I was pretty much like Double D even as a kid! Though I wasn't anywhere near his level of intelligence, nor a bookworm, I was(and still am) very socially awkward, I avoided conflicts as much as possible and P. E was pure *TORTURE* to me! Especially when it involved team sports.
To be fair Edd is still crazy strong to be lifting a whole fridge
so basically:
Ed: High Strength, Low Int
Edd: High Int, Low Strength
Eddy: Balanced
Eddy definitely has low wisdom to try half of the schemes he does. High charisma, though.

Eddy’s not as balanced as people think he is. He has shown to be incredibly witless a bunch of times like when he mispronounced and misspelled ‘respect’, spelled ‘clowns’ with a ‘K’ instead of a ‘C’, has gotten Fs in every single subject on his report card, tried building a clubhouse by hitting a tree with a hammer, thought the origin of babies was bellybutton lint growing and turning into babies, thought toast went in toasters, asked who invented parents, had no idea what went wrong with his bike scam in the balloon episode, thought chickens couldn’t fly unless they were mammals, thought ‘partial’ meant thirsty or dehydrated, thought the rocket prototype Edd built in the junkyard was a real rocket that could actually fly despite Edd telling him more than once that it was just a prototype he hadn’t finished testing yet, etc.

Eddy may be slightly overweight, but he's a pre teen,vhe hasn't had a growth spurt yet, double d has no excuse for being the weakest kid in the cul de sac, even jimmy defeated him
@@sarahc332 Jimmy only defeated him and the other two Eds in that one school episode by pure dumb luck. Jimmy is still the weakest one on the cul-de-sac.
I like how ed is the only one doing meaningful exercises in P.E.

I honestly hate how judgmental the other kids were of Edd when he was doing the exercises in the alley. This is why so many people are afraid to go to the gym out of fear of being judged.
Only a coward worries about being judged. People will ALWAYS judge. Let them. Just focus on your workout.
They will judge, but you must block them out. Their words are nothing but obstacles to overcome, and reason to continue.

Kevin is actually nice to Double D when neither Ed or Eddy are around. I still remember in the magazine episode they had a friendly chat, and then Kevin greeted Edd later on in a friendly way.
@@Zilkenian_Davenport I never thought about that. But yeah I remember that too. ^^ I guess Kevin is aware that Double D only helps in the scams because of Eddy, when Double D is on his own he's a decent person.
Also in the episode when Kevin is grounted (and Ed and Eddy is making fun of it) edd hive the key of Eddy house
You'd think someone as smart as DD would have worked out a training regime along a dietary schedule filled with all the nutritional he'd need to get stronger.
Intelligence and motivation are two very different things.

If you’re referring to the scene at 1:08, that’s because it’s from Season 5. That’s when the characters got noticeably flanderized

With how much running the Eds do over the course of the series, I'm really surprised that Edd isn't as fit as Kevin by now.
He's got leg stamina, but upper body strength is kindergarten level. No amount of running will fix that.

He is far stronger than the show lets on, he just has a mental block when it comes to actually exercising for the sake of it, and he's uncoordinated being that he doesn't really davel in physical sports.

Honestly, the fact that we're talking about eddy making fun of edd, it could have been part of the idea of joke of mocking him. That's my thought.

@@YashMaj1248 a bit sexist to women who train harder than men. even though it's proven that men are stronger than women, women can still get quite stronger than most men. it's all about the work you put into it.
Probably because the voice of Kevin is a women.
there are other moments like that though, such as when rolf is trying to use his machine to power the cul de sac (in the episode where ed convinces everyone that they will be eaten by monsters from the sewers) and one of the lower levels is "womanly"
i don't think this makes ed edd n eddy bad or anything though (especially not with the positive portrayal of jimmys stereotypically feminine interests), just something to add

Considering that in exchange for strength, his intelligence is so incredible that he can make advanced inventions using nothing but junk. Edd needs to have some weakness. if not, he could rule the world.
Edd is only smart with technology and studies, in the rest he's pretty lack luster. Edd got tricked and fooled by the other Ed's many times, like the episode where Eddy and Ed convinced Edd that he had a rare fatal disease

The moment in the alley is what I really missed about the show; especially in the later seasons. Eddy might have been self centered, but he would do anything for his friends. Glad that trait showed up a bit more in the finale

In later seasons they should have written Double D to be as strong as Ed, Eddy and Kevin since he does a lot of work lifting rocks, Fridges and building bridges for the scams.
That sullies the dynamic though. Ed is the strong goofball, Double D is the smart gentleman, and Eddy is the sneaky trickster.
This pretty much symbolises my level of exercise
This video kinda just showcases the edd has average kid strength where it basically depends on the day BUT he can lift eddy who is at least 50-60lbs
