Pomegranate - my persian friends do say they are one of the few with flavours that are really closed to their home cooking. This one is definitely better than places like North (from Yonge and Steeles). The only other place I would recommend is Rayhon in Richmond Hill (they specializes in meat kebab) however you will be shocked by their prices (50% increase vs. pre-pandemic times)
Those are starters/side dished for bread or main courses. The drink is yogurt mixed with dry mint and carbonated or plain water. This drink is very popular throughout the region of middle east, including Turkish. When i traveled in Turkey, this is the only drink i preferred as it served to clean my body and gave me good protein. All restaurants in iran or at home served dips for bread in such way. You need to compare this restaurant with what done in iran or home cooking. The most famous iranian dishes are their kebab and their saffron rice. Iranian Pickles are difference and have special favor. Normally their main courses are served with saffron rice and bread. I believed the food may be disappointing to you as the restaurant try to parpare food which is done in most homes in iran for special occasions and for special guests. The ingredients are very Iranian and could be hard and expensive to find in Toronto. The dried iranian lime is for favor to the dish and they don't eat or break it as the inside is bitter. The Iranian and Turkish restaurants are expensive oversea but popular. When i lived in Singapore few years ago, i am very impressed with Iranian bread and their egg plant side dishes for bread. You need to compare apply with apple and not with orange.
Excited to see your new vlog!😄👏🏻👏🏻 Wow, they even added 鹹柑桔🍊 in a dish? So authentic hahaha….. Curious to know what’s the two white balls in the pickles appetizer?
If I’m not mistaken, the herb used to prepare the green colour chicken stew is called fenugreek & it has a very distinctive citrusy flavour. It’s a very popular herb used in Iranian cuisine. I used to work with a Iranian & she introduced me to this fenugreek chicken stew dish. I think Persian foods are acquired tastes. I must compliment you on your selection of restaurants/cuisines are very interesting. Looking forward to your next posting!!

Try Deedar in Vaughan. I think it’s pretty good.

Thank you for your comments, save us a night of disappointment.
If have a chance, try Byblos on Duncan and king st ( cross the street from Pai)

This herb is also used in making an Indian chicken dish. This is quite fragrant.
@@jts1702a I absolutely love cilantro & lemon so will most likely enjoy Ghormeh Sabzi as well. Will definitely give it a try.
(The Sultan's Tent and Cafe Moroc),
Yes agreed. In Morroco they have a lamb stew dish like that,
