- A transgender golfer is facing testosterone testing to verify her eligibility and will also be the subject of a player poll after winning a women’s event in Florida.
Hailey Davidson, who was born in Scotland but now lives in the United States, has been the target of criticism and received death threats online after her victory in the NXXT Women’s Classic.
Davidson believes being born male no longer gives her any physiological advantages, but the response to her win prompted NXXT Golf chief executive Stuart McKinnon to seek the opinion of the circuit’s players and request that Davidson undergoes further testing.
“The recent discussions surrounding Hailey Davidson’s participation and success on our tour have highlighted a range of viewpoints,” McKinnon said in a statement on the Tour’s website.
“The NXXT Women’s Pro Tour acknowledges these perspectives while emphasizing that our policies and decisions are guided by the frameworks set by the LPGA and USGA."
Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by Fair Play for Women's Fiona McAnena, to discuss trans golfer Hailey Davidson.
Julia: "No one is talking about banning trans athletes, they can compete in the category they were born in."
Fiona: "People being dehumanised here are women and girls."

Women golfers should refuse to play against him
He obviously has no self respect and couldn't win against his own biological competition so went into the women's to make himself feel better.
He should be ashamed of himself taking a trophy that was rightfully meant for a woman and not a man
trans women will NOT want to enter an open category cos they know they'll lose. It's been tried: (Tue 3 Oct 2023) World Aquatics’ plans to debut an open category for transgender athletes at the World Cup in Berlin this week have been cancelled after no entries were received.
"I identify as" means "I pretend to be." Live like a woman if you wish but it doesnt make you a woman.

As usual it is a man entering women's sport, if there was no advantage then why are we still not seeing women going into men's sport and winning? I can barely remember any news item about a woman going up against men!
Even where the physical difference between men and women is less evident (asians) they still keep men with men and women with women.

Even if a male hasn't gone through puberty he is still male and has physical advantages from that.
So true, I believe that constantly talking about puberty is dangerous! It will just give a reason for trans activist and allies to push harder for transitioning children at a younger age.

He's no different than William Thomas. He's completely uncompetitive against males and saw an opportunity to compete against females where he knows he will have a distinct advantage and took it. The fact that people in charge of these sports are actually allowing this to happen is unconscionable.

In this case women are there own worst enemies, those males would be easy to stopped if the majority of women were vacally against it but that does not seem to be the case. Women's studies and Gender studies are the university disciplines that created and pushed these theories. In the past 25 years many university educated women have gone through these classes and now the ideology has pretty much taken over most of the social sciences, teaching (so it's now in elementary schools), and some of the health sciences. The funny things is that I am pretty much convinced that this ideology in large parts grew from the hatred of men that some of the feminists in the 70s and 80s had for men and the insistence that men should act more like women because gender roles were a social construct.
Unintended consequences wins again.

It's always about more than the sport. It's got a lot to do with being referred to as "she" and "her" and "new girl name". Being seen as a woman. Presenting as a woman. Entering women's spaces with women and enjoying the thrill and power.

Puberty is puberty. A male child who goes through puberty becomes a male adult.
No, you are chromosomally developed as male or female during development in the womb. Puberty is the onset of SECONDARY sex characteristics and sexual maturation. Secondary means AFTER primary and primary is either male or female therefore you are DEVELOPED in the womb as either male or female.
Puberty doesn’t “make” you male or female, it’s just a continuation of your sexed development (maturation).
You can cut the tail off of a dog and it doesn’t magically turn into some other animal!

Oh please, the other wimmun clearly didn’t have the gargantuan gonads necessary to take the win. How is that Ms. Davidson’s fault?
When you've had higher testosterone levels until adulthood, lowering those levels lower agression and nothing else.
Your bones and muscles are still stronger and as a biological man you naturally have higher focus and concentration levels, and women will always have natural higher maternal aspects.
Its human nature and general biology.
Not only that.
Women compete and train despite having periods, by the female cycle affect us and our performances (a really good trainer knows we have around 15 days we are at the top of our game, and 15 days our average is significantly lower; we also have a post-workout recovery speed that almost equal males for 15 days, and that double the speed for the 15 days left) Our bodies are very different and women against women it's a fair game because luck affect us all (but affect us more than males when competitions are scheduled).
So to have a woman that goes through a year of training where half the time she's affected by her hormonal fluctuations is NOT the same as taking estrogens, calling yourself a woman, train a whole year like you're always on top of your game.
And all this even IF the man is tiny and feminine and an underdeveloped muscle mass. Just our period affects our training, something that a man will never have to deal with (nor the pain, suddent cramps or drop in the blood pressure because you're literally sprinting while bleeding out for days!)

In order to succeed in traditionally male dominated careers / politics etc women had to compete with other men to get ahead . They wanted to be thought of as equal & probably had to be ruthless to measure up in order to outperform those men.
If the suffragettes hadn't pushed for change at the turn of the last century then we wouldn't have the rights that many women now take for granted & are now stupidly waving this nonsense in. Sadly the biggest demographic who think 'changing sex' is the answer to their problems are young women & girls identifying out of their womanhood & think they have to be male. I wish we could realise that we are of equal value but respect our biological differences when they matter.
If all the woke nonsense was right, then why are these stories never coming up in male competitions? I have not seen trans men beating born males all over the place. Trans can compete but in their own leagues etc.
