- Finally something in sonic reminiscent ends lol. This is Shadow's story coming to an end to the sonic reminiscent story arc and on to a new story arc one of life and deaths.

Almost 6 years late, but this made me cry. It's true to Shadow's character. It's simply amazing how you wrapped up his story, shadow759, especially with Ix's line "Embrace life."
This video is proof of why I have a lot of respect for shadow the hedgehog.

I keep coming back to this video to watch the scene with Shadow and Black Doom's fight and where Shadow was getting crippled by Black Doom. That part really got me when I first saw this animation, it's absolutely amazing

so i left the sonic fandom a long time ago and i just recently came back to your channel. And i just wanna say thank you so much for being a huge inspiration for me as a kid.
I've been watching you way before i had a youtube channel.
I remember me and my sister watching your videos together everyday and sonic reminiscent was a huge part of my childhood and still has a special place in my heart. I don't remember much about it and I'm planning to re watch all the episodes.
I may have left the fandom but i still enjoy your videos and seeing how much you've grown and how much you've improved is amazing. Thank you so much for being such and inspiration to me.
Now this is some good storytelling right here. And I believe it stayed true to Shadow's character. Watch and learn, Sega! It's unbearable to see how badly written most of the characters are nowadays. With the exception of Sonic Forces. Despite the negative parts the game had, I believe its representation of Shadow was quite accurate. (Generations wasn't bad either)

Okay, I know you pulled a lot from Sonic's history for this series, but I did NOT expect Ix. Awesome reveal on that.

When Shadow is in his Super form he and Super Sonic are the most powerful of the main cast. Base Shadow is more powerful than Base Sonic though. But no matter how powerful Shadow gets he is still mortal. Yes he can't age and live forever but he can still die from mortal death. Shadow can't do anything to defy fate. What Ix said was true. Shadow though was born and created to protect mobious...It's his true purpose. Sonic just volunteers. Shadow is truly the ultimate life form...

Remember when Shadow said Sonic was also the Ultimate Life Form in Adventure 2? God, those were confusing times. It makes sense though. Sonic usually ties with or straight up beats Shadow, so he can't just be a random Hedgehog who hatched from an egg or something. It wouldn't make sense. Shadow is basically Mewtwo, so for Sonic to match and more often than not surpass him, he would have to be someone or something really special.

Infamous Player That line was retconed. Plus Sonic never truly beat Shadow in canon. Hell even in the Archie Comics Shadow beat Sonic more. And Sonic at best mostly tied with Shadow.

Phenomenal! Goddamn phenomenal! This has to be easily the best thing to come out of Reminiscent.
I'll get the negatives out of the way real quick here. Your sound mixing is a little bit off in places, for instance the bone breaking was VERY loud in comparison to the rest of the audio. Sometimes characters would get a little louder or quieter, seemingly at random. It's also a little bit distracting with every character being voiced by you, you do a good job, but it's undeniably noticeable.
Okay, now onto everything else.
The overall pacing felt good, picking up where the last Reminiscent left off with Shadow, we're thrown right into the tension, with a little back and forth with Black Doom and Shadow relating to their... tense... relationship. We're in a strange place, with our hero facing someone who really does outclass him at the moment, it gave a certain feeling to the whole encounter that I liked. Also, you've wrapped up Doom Cheese... Black Cheese? This is one of the longer running gags from the channel, like around the time you were doing voice overs of 06... god you've been at this for a while. That is a really big deal, does this mean cheese is... Cheese again? He dead?
Going back to that bone breaking, though a little loud, it did having me squirming in my seat, which I think was the intent, and the loud audio may have helped with that. Your writing was also on point for this, everything was concise, to the point, and forwarded the story. You've cut down on that habit of repeating words in a sentence, which really helps the lines flow better. Your animation quality has also improved, it's smoother than previous things. Going back to the acting, great job, especially with Shadow. You've got good range, and do a good job from character to character, which is especially impressive considering you have a very distinct voice.
Now back to the story. Ix... was a surprise, for various reasons. One, anyone referencing the Nocturnas or chronicles comes as a surprise, but beyond that, it was the way you chose to use him. Coming off as a sort of benign spirit, whisking those who've died to the after life, which isn't exactly what I'd expect, but I like it, especially since he really does look the part. Beyond that, his scenes with Shadow, kindly re-assuring and comforting him, explaining the situation with Rouge, Shadow's dialogue, and that ending bow that Shadow gives out of respect, something he rarely displays, worked well. It was very atmospheric and genuinely emotional when they were in... purgatory... I guess, yeah purgatory. It had this very empty, lonely feeling, almost as if there were indescribable horrors just barely held back by a thin vale of fog. It did, however, leave me with a lot of questions, for something that's supposed to wrap stuff up, sure did open up a whole hell of a lot more questions. He gonna' go do stuff with the Nocturnas? Team up with Shade? And Reminiscent was designed to fill in the blank space of Generations story, so how does he, and Rouge (who's currently dead, along with others), end up at Sonic's party at the end?! I'm equal parts confused and excited to find out where you take this. I can see it tyeing in with "Stick's story" from earlier.
One last thing, and I may have made this offer before, but if you want someone to do some voice work, I would happily send in a voice demo of some sort as an audition. May have offered to voice before, but may as well throw it out there.
Anyway, great work as always, and as always, looking forward to more.
And can I jsut bring up how we have Ix inhere BEFORE the Babylon Rouges. How does that even happen.

XD Yeah with the sound mixing I knew that would be an issue when I was at the middle of working on this because I was at the middle of moving to my new house and had to give away my old microphone to my brother. (To chat with him and the family on skype and I know for a fact they will not get a good microphone unless I give them one.) So with the new one I didn't have time to learn it 100% the bone crushing was well..movie maker it sounds one way and then a render... yeeeaahhh xD
Thanks and yeah shadow's end was wrapping up shadow's part of the story in reminiscent also to show lord Ix is running around. I will make a video saying this but... Chronicles not really following the game 100% think of them as a re-imagines. Making the brotherhood into my own thing.
No worries though all answers will come soon since I am really trying to get these episodes out there now. It's hard because I have to wait on a model here and there, like how I had to wait on Ix.
But soon we will be getting the Blaze movie! (that will answer a big question that I had for the longest time.)

Babylon Rouges well they might be a side movie of some sort (or a 4 part mini story) because I feel like what I have planed there is enough people as it is for inceptive story arc and the life and deaths arc.

I can get behind changing the Brotherhood, Chronicles story was kind of... weird, and really only gave us minimal information on the Nocturnas to work with. I am most certainly interested by the direction you're taking them, especially Ix and how they'll connect to Knuckles.
You've done a good job, not only keeping the mysteries mysteries, but more importantly, making them interesting, so I am most certainly looking forward to those answers.
Oh yeah, that Blaze teaser... that promises to be neat.

The reason why Dr. Eggman put Shadow in the capsule between the events of Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes, because he was trying to recover and restore Shadow's lost memories. However, Rouge the Bat released and woke up Shadow, and his memories were not fully recover and restore yet. This was all Rouge the Bat's fault. If she never found Shadow in Dr. Eggman's secret base in the first place, none of this would ever happen.

Sonic 1-3 are solely Eggman based, so that can't really work. Little Planet from sonic cd could work, pretty sure those time travel signs are somewhere on the Death Egg MKII. Advanced series and most other minor games wouldn't fit in.... Maybe fit in Sonic Schoolhouse?????

It demonstrates precisely how bringing back the Ultimate Lifeform can be misused, and why Shadow the Hedgehog must stay dead (or) stay in a capsule. After we straighten all this out.

Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform never wanted to take down Mephiles the Dark, Eclipse the Darkling, Infinite the Jackal and neither Black Doom. He thinks these villains are not important to him anymore.
Because he just want to kill Sonic (himself), hang out with Rouge the Bat, and pretending none of this would ever happened.
He doesn't care.
