You understand this is ridiculous right? You understand that for a new product off the line at this stage in development, the Nuptune 4 needed an easily updated software process
This method has broken my printer and I have to go through a lot more tedious steps to fix it, be carefull if you have a working printer might as well not update the firmware at all.
@@mecamoto6327 That sucks, I spent almost a whole day fixing mine, makes me think maybe it's better to invest in a better 3D filament printer, it sucks cause I think Elegoo resin printers are pretty good, this one not so much :(.

After not receiving any answer from support i Bought a emmc card writer, flashed an image on, updated the firmware with lots of trouble, but finally got It back working. Not buying elegoo anymore, back to creality...
Everything went succesfully untill i tried to 3d print a 3d model using a usb stick. I clicked on the model and then the lights flashed. After that, the printer just rebooted itself. What could cause this?
Are the problems with the update fixed, since I see a lot of people frustrated that it broke their printer? And before I update it myself I want to prevent me being in the exact same situation.
In a world of bambu this is utterly insane. I mean you have to physically take apart the screen the update it, this is bonkers. I absolutely have to have this max 4 working reliably for work and it was working well at 1.2 but all of a sudden it cant stay leveled... I just got done updating and leveling for another hour and I've got to say this is absurd. $500 I doubt I can fix the way I'd like. The first print was amazing! It gave so much hope, then it just crapped out and here we are...wtf??
I never got a microsd card, so I used one of my own extras for the screen update, but when I turn back on the machine it doesn't go into that update boot screen. It just starts the printer like normal. I was able to update the main firmware. I also have an N4 Pro, not Plus/Max.
I had the same issue but I found the 512 mb sd card they sent me and used that, worked as intended... maybes a formatting issue of the sd card you used.
I inserted the micro SD but when I turn on the printer does not leave any process of loading from 1 to 100% ie only turns on normal, and when I select the menu about machine does not update the UI version, which remains is the 1.2.11. What should I do?
This is probably a stupid question but what’s the fix pack? Iv just got the N4 pro as my first printer but it’s second hand everything seems to be working okay on it but the UI version on the hand held is 1.2.11 so I’m assuming I need to update that asap
if your printer is fully working DO NOT UPDATE read some comments ive had mine since jan thought id finally update it yesterday couldnt get past the loading screen... ill update you if i can get it working bud also the fix pack is the 1.2.2.65 on their site

i keep wanting to buy a neptune 4 max but this is too much to deal with i know theres going to be maintenance issues along the way but not out the box, if i buy one do i really need to do all this other stuff. this is so discouraging one of those my family is right, im going to regret this purchase if it doesnt work or if i need to spend more money to print. i think ill hold onto my money till they come already fixed

When my X-Axis go at the middle he gets like 50mm further and when the leveling start, i have the screen with the 121 points and the temperatures, but when he got the temperature the printer don't do anything and all i can do is to power off the machine. I Tried a print but at 20mm high the X-Axis moved and my part is in 2 Parts. do you think you can help me ? Thank you very much in advance, i'm stuck right now

@@alorik6627 I had this same issue and I fixed it by formatting my SD card to FAT before inserting it. I think the issue is that if you are not using the stock microsd card that came with your printer, the one you are using may be formatted in a way that the arduino on the screen cant read.
@@ElegooOfficial Thanks, I downloaded the files needed and I started with the fix since the version I had was very old, but now it's been rebooting for like 30 mins, I don't wanna turn it off since I'm not sure if that will cause issues or not. What is there to do in this case?

Next time don't make such a shitty product, I want my 500$ back... This printer is so new and has built in wifi, yet the people at elegoo are to lazy to make it auto update...
It’s a little tedious but after you do it once, it’s not that bad. They should have made it so you can update it over wifi as both the 4Plus and 4Max have WiFi. Elegoo missed the ball on this as they did by using their own version of Klipper. Don’t know why they did this.
Hey maybe next time just don't fuck it so bad that you need to make your customer jump through this bullshit for a relatively simple update that shouldn't have need to be done in the first place. This is such a massive pain in the ass and nothing I do is making this update work. I sincerely want my money back and will not be buying nor recommending elegoo to anyone in the future.

I have a bambu, the only reason I bought this, is bc bambu doesnt have a 420 by 420 mm large print volume

My printer came in with v1.2.3.0 and 1.2.13 so its up to date right?
Litterly here for the exact same thing first started mine and noticed 1.2.3 and was like well.. that's more up to date then even the video states ...
