    Thats BADASS! from an engeeners view point they look industrial , Funny thing is I fix motorized work tables alot . Company i work for paid 7k each for 12 new motorized Tables and they Suck !
    So i had to desighned hand cranks and gears in my tool shop and bypassed the junkie desighn servo desighn from the company who built the tables lol
    Stay with building those Stands Josh
    Save money build them mechanical !
    Cost savings and most likely more dependable . But yeah looks cool just engaging a button I like them thanks Josh !

    They make them - called Space Lab Lift - but it is $2,000 for three of them. My use case is, I have three Adams in my theater mixing room (part of 7.1 setup) but those three are slightly in front of my projector screen. That’s fine when I’m doing mixdowns but sometimes I want to use the theater with friends and I have a second set of line speakers for that on left and right of screen. So I’m looking for a solution where the L, R, and C speaker can go up when I’m doing scoring and mixing but when watching movies I want to bring those down under the screen. Going to see if I can pull something like this off because $2,000 is a ton of cash despite how useful it would be.

    Dude, this is amazing. And just what I’ve been looking for. I want to move my speakers off my desk, but I use the standing position at my desk almost every day. Will definitely be doing this. Having both speakers move at the same time because it’s from a standing desk frame is genius. I’m 6’3” so will have to do some digging for something tall enough.

    Tried this years ago. The vibration and resonant frequencies between both metal sliders kills the listening experience. They're patented already, but never produced because of the issues.

    • @JoshuaValour
      @JoshuaValour  2 года назад +9

      Hmm. Would probably depend on the tolerance of the slider sections. I’ve got a few standing legs and unfortunately they all have various tolerance qualities. I haven’t had issues with this -specific- pair. But my other crappier “husky” brand legs, I wouldn’t even both trying.
      Good to know there’s already a patent. Hopefully they can figure out a fix for the issue.

    Nice job and I think this experiment looks super cool. I could have used something like this about 30+years ago, when I was trying out numerous bookshelf/stand- mount speakers, and each speaker required stands at a different height. How great it would have been to own your stands back in the day to properly adjust the listening height to my seating position. It would have been much easier and better than my old approach; which was raising the speakers higher on the stands using telephone directory books. Lol!
