Allot of other variables. For my rifle, because no to chambers, barrels, brass or bullet construction are alike, Benchmark powder for accuracy and Power pro varmint for velocity became my go to powders for mid size game hunting.

Never heard of powders specific for “jump”. That’s a first.

Thanks for the info. Toadley mentioned you. I plan on trying Hornady 120 eldm with ar-comp, CCI 400 primer out of a 24 inch barrel. Ar-15 platform.

Good choices for Grendel. Might just be my barrel but i could never get CFE to shoot well in mine.

Great video a lot of good info. I am having great accuracy with H-335 and 120ELD loaded at 25.3 grain. I may try the AR comp to see what happens.

Sierra TGK Gamechanger 130gr Bullets with H335 highest velocity at lowest pressures with best groups ever. Yik yaking about powders without the data to show made no sense, they are all good powders its how they perform with a 6.5 bullet shoved in a 7.62x39 case that counts.

What's the barrel length in your testing or do the powders tend to run good in all barrel lengths??? Also are you shooting in the AR platform or bolt gun??? I've been wanting to get a bolt gun in 6.5 Grendel because I've heard you can get a lot more out of the cartridge but I have 2 AR15s built an 18" for hunting and a 24" for plinking at long range. The 18" is the one I'm having a hard time getting the velocity I want for a 120gr Barnes TTSX.

    .
*In a custom builds, which is what most people are doing today, the jump you speak of should not exceed more then three thousandths of an inch.* *Secondly, the length of the barrel is another big factor, the longer - the more time it has for a complete burn, which builds higher pressures, producing greater velocities with much better accuracy.* *Just saying.*

Lone Puma unless you are using a custom chamber reamer, the jump to lands on a SAAMI 6.5 Grendel reamer is around .125", on a 264LBC chambered barrel, its right at .100", to get a jump of .003" would require either a long seated bullet, or a custom reamed chamber using a custom reamer.
