I am very new at pouring and the way you explained your process is very helpful for me! Thank so,so much….I love everything that you’re doing….it’s fabulous! 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
I am really enjoying this series. I like how you experimented with your placement of the underlying colors which clearly contributed to the final result. Love the final result, btw. Thanks for sharing with us.
I appreciate showing all the process of prepping, despite me doing it, it just reinforced my conviction... I have watched other videos of yours, and LOVE your work!
This is that video I told you about you do the dump black over the colors....where with the white ones you do the colors over the white.....this is really nice too!!!
I add the same as I do the colors. This is an older video, today my ratio is 1 part paint, 3-5 parts floetrol, drizzle of liquitex pouring medium and water to thin.
The 2 colors are beautiful together. So, with the black, your not adding the satin Enamel, obviously. So is it the metallic that's making the pearls? Luv it.
I mix all of my paints the same. I usually talk about it in most of my videos…1 part paint, 2-3 parts floetrol drizzle of liquitex pouring medium and water…it’s a suggestion on the preciseness, I don’t measure like I used to!
Good question….i lean towards the floetrol and thinned paints…you can experiment without floetrol and really thin your paints and they will cell better than thicker paints
Hi I love this painting, just a question have you used any other black paint for this process instead of artists loft,as I don't use artist lofts paints.
Ive only used the artist loft. My assumption that another black should work. I haven't experimented. I think what makes this work as well, is the stretching of the paint and the metallics seem to emerge as the black sinks. I'm going to do another one today!
Loretta Wisner I haven’t used them in a pour, but a few cloud pours I have. I’m not sure how it will look in a dump and pour tho. It might be interesting to use with extreme sheen tho
PourBoy - abstract flow art by Dwight Myers yes it would. Also have you watched MelyD vids. In one of her dump pours she used the satin enamel black and only added water. Food for thought or experiment! LOL thanks for responding.
@@artlor2002 she's been my inspiration and we've been in touch a little... I used to only use pouring medium and water, bit I saw another artist do a dump and swirl with floetrol and medium as well... I like the consistency and I can use less paint (less wasted paint). So far it's working well!!
I love when you explain how you mixing yours paint 🎨💐 thank you so much ☺️

Cool! the same but also different. Love the negative space 👍👍
Thanks for sharing another beautiful creation , s there a video on how to mix the satin enamel pearl mix? Thanks
It’s beautiful. Thank u some much for taking the time to go through the entire process.
Thank you for all you do to explain and teach. Such a lovely piece!
Like this one! The same, but different 😎❣️

Karen Peabody thank you very much! It’s all an experiment isn’t it!!
@@dwightpours1261 Experimentation is what makes it so fun, right?

So wonderful ! Thank you for sharing your journey !
Thank you for sharing your technique!
Very cool results!!!
If you use a small steamer it's great at tightening like a drum.
It gets those corners too.1 time and it's very easy with great results
True but you take the risk or warping the canvas…the canvas can pull on the wood frame and cause warping…
Awesome!!!😊
Wow wonderful. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for watching!

So beautiful ♥️
Some great info..thank you!
Nice. I have to try this.
You know i love your artistry! I have one question. What do you add to the black Artist Loft? Thank you so much! 🎉❤
I add the same as I do the colors. This is an older video, today my ratio is 1 part paint, 3-5 parts floetrol, drizzle of liquitex pouring medium and water to thin.
Dwight I love this painting. Xo
I love this! All the colors called up...blue cells, pearl cells, espresso cells! This is truly a fantastic pour!
Beautiful ❣️
Обожаю ваше творчество!!!
Очень прошу добавить русские субтитры!
Loving your instructional videos, but I was wondering if it's possible to go too thin? That's what I am always afraid of. I'll get this yet!
The 2 colors are beautiful together. So, with the black, your not adding the satin Enamel, obviously. So is it the metallic that's making the pearls? Luv it.
No satin enamel paint
New subscriber. So beautiful.Does this has be only metallic or with any other colors and same mixing ratio?
Thank you for subscribing! Depends on paints...my more recent videos were not with metallics. But they all have to be thinned for it to work!
When you first prepared your canvas with the black coat was it pure black and nothing else? No medium?
Just paint
I dont recall you mixing your paints this thick
I don’t know
Dwight, What do you mix into your Artist Loft base paint. What is the ratio? Or do you just add water to thinner than the Deco Art paints?
I mix all of my paints the same. I usually talk about it in most of my videos…1 part paint, 2-3 parts floetrol drizzle of liquitex pouring medium and water…it’s a suggestion on the preciseness, I don’t measure like I used to!
Awesome! Is your black mixed the same as other colors?
Pretty much, I don’t measure as much for the dump paint...I just eyeball it
Belíssimo trabalho, então a água destilada provoca as células? Abs
I don’t have a translation
@@dwightpours1261 I would like to know if distilled water provokes the cells, obrigado
I have no idea…I don’t think it matters. I’ve been using tap water for a couple years now
Is your black paint as thin as the other colors? Beautiful painting!
I think it needs to be slightly thicker! It has to sink so the cells will come up!
What creates the cells? Flotrol or the pouring medium?
Good question….i lean towards the floetrol and thinned paints…you can experiment without floetrol and really thin your paints and they will cell better than thicker paints

Is the black the same consistency as the other colors? Which have silicone?
Carol Boyette no silicone in any of the paint. The black is very similar in consistency, just a tad thicker
Love this💙 have you used the satin enamel and if so do you think the ‘cells’ are different than the extreme sheen? Thanks for sharing

Satin enamel - brand? Yes
Hello, the black base, does it also have floetrol? Thank you
Yes
@@dwightpours1261 Thank you
