Thanks Gerard, I agree Johnstones Trade paint's are good but I would definitely advise people to steer clear of the retail Johnstones and most other top pain retail brands, I enjoy your videos and I can tell you know exactly what you are doing and that is coming from a painter and decorator with 37 year's experience.
Hi. Gerrard. Good review. I doubt I could go back to normal length paint brushes. Been using monarchs, blaze and more recently Oldfields ( fantastic btw, hold a lot of paint and leave a very smooth finish can highly recommend them mate ) they handles are very comy to work with all day. I don’t buy Johnstone’s. Dulux , Armstead and Tikkurila are my paints. I find the same as you the second coat of these durable matts go on a treat. Armstead is a lovely drop of gear. Good video, cheers.
Customer bought Johnstones Street smoke Silk Grey, couple of the walls had three coats, flashing on the ceiling to the wall absolutely horrendous, transition from brush to roller you can see clearly, used this a couple of years ago the colour I think was something like apple green, it was like piss
@@gerardoneillhandpaintedkit9714 recently i have used johnstones paint white gloss black watrbased to repaint skirtings etc , i have used sponge roller for that job and unfortunately it have left structure of bubbles , never had that problem b4 would you be able to tell me why’s that happen ? Im not quite familiar with all the thinks in painting but i did many repaint jobs previously without any related problems to that
Johnstones cover plus is the best white u can get in my opion
Thanks Gerard. Just thinking of going down the Johnstone's route instead of my usual Dulux one, and you've really helped. Thanks again.

@@quattro4944 if you are using foam roller it will leave tiny bubbles, you need to apply the paint and then lay it off with a brush to smooth it out.
Very Good job Forza 🇮🇹
