      I would expect the organizational chart should certainly have Ten Haag under Dan Ashworth, where it even seems very likely that he may also be under Jason Wilcox in the chart. I'm assuming Dan Ashworth is the overall Football operations director who will sit alongside other key directors like the Finance Director and Commercial Director, who should all be in the branch under the CEO Barrada in the organization chart. From there I'm assuming Ashworth As football operations Director should be supported by someone heading the Recruitment side (who the club is looking to bring in) and another person heading team operations (who I'm assuming is Wilcoxx). For Wilcoxx to support Ashworth in that role, I'm therefore assuming he will oversee the mens team, women's team and youth teams, where he already has experience leading First team decisions (As Southampton's Director of Football) & leading Youth team decision making (as Man City's previous Academy Head). So with that I strongly feel all managers including Ten Haag are reporting to him under the chart, which is why he was trusted to lead the Manager's review even tho Barrada & Ashworth were not in yet.

    • @martinkerr2163
      @martinkerr2163 3 месяца назад

      I suspect that the Head of Academy who should have all youth team managers reporting to him, will then report directly to Wilcoxx and not Ten Hagg. But I would like to believe the Head of Academy will be place a rung slightly lower than Ten Haag so that he outranks him and subsequently all the youth team managers, which will allow him to have influence on the youth teams, without being responsible for steering that ship as well as the first teams ship.

    Jelle Ten Rouwelaar is somewhat of a club legend for NAC, a lower table Dutch team, spending 9 years as first choice GK there.
    He spent some time there as a keeper coach and joined Ajax in the same role this summer, he only spent 2 weeks there before joining United.

      We just have to see what he can bring. No experience as a coach, but probably a lot of knowledge. I always have more confidence coaches that were not overly talented players and that needed to use their brain to succeed. Ten Hag himself is a great example of this.

    INEOS have done far more in 6 months than the Glazers have in 20 fuckin years & what's the most important is that all these changes are all to do with football unlike the Glazers who only appointed those for commerical purposes only yet there are still some plant pots out there that say INEOS are like the Glazers. Finally after numerous years we've finally got a proper footballing structure in place & I couldn't be anymore hopeful for the future once the wheels start moving

    Great breakdown as usual.
    I think you do really have to have this kind of structure, where (loosely speaking) the person above you tells you what to do, and the people below you ask you what they should do. Where person above you should have enough knowledge to answer questions and get things done, with the people below you being capable of doing what you tell them to do, it's kind of mind blowing that this kind of structure wasn't put in place years ago..
    Like in the previous system there were obviously huge gaps, not only in personnel, but also in knowledge, and I'm guessing that a lot of the time when there was a problem, the people in those positions just did not have the expertise to deal with it, and didn't have anybody above them who knew either. Madness!

    In the current structure EtH's role is Head-Coach (and not manager).
    For the simple reason that he's just coaching. No more. He's not managing anything.
    Also, the assistent coaches are tied to the club and no longer to the head-coach. Meaning that the structure is maintained, and only the head-coach needs to be replaced 8n case he's leaving (and not the entire coaching team).
