Thank you my friend. I learnt two sets of traditional not wushu monkey staff in Hong Kong many years ago, but must admit I have been a little lazy with staff practice over the last few years.
Thanks for the review. Lathes are known to have been used in Egypt and Greece 1300BCE, so likely Japan had manual lathes some centuries ago. I would be interested if anyone knows any history of lathes in ancient Japan.
Ironically I know very little about the history of lathes even though my first job was running one to make banisters and verandah posts. I always assumed they were relatively contemporary, possibly from renaissance era, but that was just a guess.
@@jiskodadski3208 I have seen makeshift ones on TV simply using a sapling as a spring, rope and a foot-board. Wrap the rope (which is fixed to the sappling and the other end the footboard) around the piece to be worked and peddle the footboard, rotating the work back and forwards.....bla bla bla
The entire monkey staff form with applications is definitely a video which I hope to do in the future. There are a couple of sellers on ebay and other websites including coldsteel.com selling this staff.
@jiskodadski3208 You would like them. They will improve your martial prowess. There is a guy on RUclips that has the best instructional videos for heavy clubs his name is Mark Wildman.
I have a wooden staff I use very often hiking that is a lot like that... Have a rubber stopper on one end.
That's a good idea, you can always replace the stopper when it wears out and the staff itself doesn't get a damaged tip.
Interesting product! Good for the young lady! Appreciate the humor in this. Also some of the hits were so clean that it almost cut through the cacti .

Nice review of the staff and good diverse weapons on the channel 😉👍 its also one of my favourite weapons.
Thank you brother. The staff is also one of my favorites. It seems to be an under rated weapon.
I like that Staff by Cold Steel , good demonstration 💯

No, but I might give them a try sometime.
