Hi Gentlemen, Thank you for your lastest Hot Air programme. I enjoyed the questions and answers. I'm wiser to the laws in Scotland. I knew they were different, though you explained them and kept them simple to remember. Thank you. The air rifle you have there looks beautiful. I couldn't look away from the stock and blueing quality. This is just my opinion, and with respect to everyone, I'd love to see that unit go to a youngster who'd love it, like I would have, as a youngster, and be used. The thoughts of it going to someone with a cupboard full, who'd hardly use it, spending most of its time packed away doesnt seem fair in my eyes. I know this obviously can't be Policed, but personally, a keen youngster who had that one air rifle and loved owning and using it, like I would have would be absolutely box ticked. Just my humble opinion. Its always great to see your Hot Air posting and I always learn something. Thank you again, Ian.
Awesome prize/giveaway! I’ve entered and got my 5 chances 🤞…good luck to all that enter, one of us is going to be the lucky owner. Also looking forward to seeing how the range is progressing, keep up the great work guys, love the channel 🙂
Q&As are great, I take it you'd take questions from the comments on your videos too. Following the range posts on FB, still not had chance to get up there yet but it looks great.
With regard to what pellets suit your rifle. One ask the supplier. What pellets did they use to test it. Or gun shops sell multi pellet packs trial packs. For this exact situation.
Hello Martyn, that’s something I’ve started doing in my shop, selling mixed tubs with segregated compartments labelled with weights etc. With regards suppliers it’s not always that simple, for example air arms told me that tdr’s loved air arms pellets, however it didn’t shoot them well at all. I always advise test your own with various pellets and weights
Good to see you back at it, the range site would be great for testing kit. If you do more vids from there take some sheets or blankets for the walls to help with the sound, you're getting better.
I like the question spot. And I have one for you. Some asked about what you can shoot on a permissions, that you answered that , but I would like to know what I can shoot I my own back garden, without getting into bother. Thanks Peter
Questions, not many people explain shooting up hill or down a steep gradient could you explain please. Enjoying the banter and will make the long trip from South Wales in the summer
Please don’t take this the wrong way. But, it’s a shame you UK dudes can get into so much trouble for having what most in the US would consider as a “toy”. What always confused me is why is it called a FAC, when it’s not a firearm? Is there a way for your laws to recognize the differences between powder burners and air powered? On a side note. I wish more US dealers would carry sub 12 fpe guns. Great show as always, I can’t wait for the next one 👍
Thank you :) Anything over 12 foot pound in the uk is classed as being “ lethal barrelled “ so needs to sit on an FAC ticket. I think most air gun enthusiasts would love to have more availability of the higher power air rifles without having to apply for and go through the rigmarole of obtaining one.
Hey guys, I've just been over to enter the free competition and I've entered twice 😮 lol I didn't think it worked the first time so I started again now it says I have two tickets.
Yes it will do mate, I’ve set it as 5 tickets per subscriber. Unfortunately the parameters of the website won’t allow single tickets only on free giveaways
In my experience a gun wouldn't be able to be tested on the spot by a bobby who stopped you, if a gun was seized then a firearms officer would probably be summoned to clear it at the seized property store at a station. I don't know if chronographs are carried by any Police Officers and who actually tests it, the chronograph would have to be calibrated I should imagine. I never seized an air rifle. It is folk dicking about with air rifles or trespassing with a weapon who would get their guns seized generally. Seized more shotguns and FAC than air rifles.
Thank you for this comment. It's good to know what was written here. I take from this generally, if you're doing as you should be and not being a nuisance, you shouldn't encounter the Police. It's unlikely, for the amount of Police we have now, that we'll ever see them anyway. As we near a General Election, time after time, we'll be told the Police will increase. However, after the General Election, we'll soon find out if what we've voted for and force fed is actually true?
@@ianwoods1384 As a copper you generally know who are the scrotes and if you found them dicking about with a gun you may arrest/seize the gun. I am not sure what would be grounds to get it tested for power.
Brilliant episode , good luck with the range and any chance a latest walk around of the shop thanks tim
I don't normally do these comps, but I've entered this one. Thanks for giving back chaps, keep up the good work
Another great episode with plenty of useful information. Good to see Rosie, shes a beauty. Take care.

Really good video I'll come and see you soon
Use a trigger lock. If you cannot afford a gun cabinet. Also keep out of sight.
Wow that was a quick reply. Thank you very much. What’s the name of your shop.
Field sports Equipe
I used to deal with this shop when it was owned by reg gizzi
this location is perfect and excellent content
The chances are that if the police take your gun for testing they will use a range of pellets not just the pellets you are using
hi pellets can be funny i put 10.65 and it was shooting around 11.5 put i shot 8.44 and it went over 12foot pounds nice video keep it up
