Instead of taping soldered joins you can use heat shrink. Put it on before soldering and slip it over the joint after soldering and put the iron next to it and it shrinks. Leave about 1 inch either side of the joint and it closes up nice and tight keeps water out and avoids any chance of the tape lifting.

hi a bit off topic you know the disco 3 and 4 when the timing belt goes is it not just like any other engine when the timing belt snaps you change the bent valves then rebuild the head jobs done whats the difference with these lumps thanks
No different to any other modern engine really. It can break rockers, spin cam lobes and spin the cam gears. Nothing nowadays is as good as the old skool stuff.
It's a fail if you put an LED bulb in a halogen lamp. If it's disigned to be an LED lamp then it's not a fail. Yeah I can do a walk around of the other cars. Nothing really interesting though.
