  • In today's video, I go ahead and change the spark plugs and serpentine belt, and tensioner in my 2011 NG Saab 9-5 Turbo4 2.0l engine. This process is also the same for the Buick Regal 2.0L turbo as this LHU (A20NFT Opel) Engine is found in many GM cars. I hope you enjoy it. Please like, share, and subscribe!

I have the same exact car as yours with 77,000 miles. I’m having this issue where my steering wheel shakes at highway speeds sometimes below highway speeds but the steering feels more stiff to turn. Do you have any idea what the problem could be? I also know that I need new motor mounts. I don’t know if that would be causing the issue and I already did a power steering fluid flush.

I can confirm there's a lot of similarity between the Saab version and the Buick.
one exception is the Buick uses a garbage upper motor mount Where are the aluminum actually cracks / breaks, letting the motor slide around, bounce and clunk over bumps..

Man mine has 99k. Just replaced turbo and timing chain. Timing chain is noisy again. So keep your eyes open for your chain I love your head unit! Did you install it?

I was about to moan about how difficult this is until I remembered what it's like on the original 9-5..! Those bolts into the aluminium head always put me on edge..

I've seen those crazy designs, they can be real cows to swap out!

Thanks for the video. I replaced the serpentine belt only on a 2014 Regal turbo 2.0L entirely from above. Nothing through the wheel well or beneath the car. I suspect the Regal's 2.0L turbo is different than the one shown in this video, since the belt I used is 70" long (35" folded) and the one shown in the video looks longer.

    Hey Kyle.
Rust tip. Pull those front wheel liners and check where the firewall and cab meet at about dashboard level behind the front wheels. Saw one in the salvage yard with an excessive amount of rust right there, in a very compromising spot. It was very clean everywhere else, just that end of the firewall had started to split and rust due to poor weatherproofing? Another spot to check is on top of the car, under the plastic top-rail strips.
Love that car nonetheless. Can't wait to find The One.

Those flatbar tensioner pry tools are great. They are basically a flat piece of steel with a 3/8 or 1/2 socket drive nub welded to it. A second flat piece comes with it that has a notched hole that allows joining them together at various angles to get to the hard to reach spots on certain cars. Most parts stores sell em.
Also, ratchet wrenches are your friend in these tight spots, just like they are when working on that shoehorned v6. lol

Why is the air cleaner round cap always missing on so many SAABs? I went through ten vehicles at four wrecking yards until I found one for my 2007 9 3 convertible. Isn't the cap required to pass any emissions test?
