I've been looking at printers, so it's always good to have as much additional info as possible. Thanks for putting this one out.

I have two 3D printers, and enjoy designing and printing all kinds of things. Have made some really useful items and toold over the years.
The Bambu looks like a pretty good printerm especially fir the price.
    Good video Frank.

I believe you will find many uses for this machine. I have a Bambu Lab x1carbon which I purchased based on a review by Clough 42. Learning the modeling design software is the most difficult part of these things. I know you use Fusion 360 for you CNC plasma table. I have been learning Sketchup and have designed and printed several things I use in the shop. What's really nice is the ability to design and print something before you machine it. James at Clough 42 does this all the time and it saves a lot of money on wasted metal. There are 1000's of videos on RUclips on the use of these machines. Have fun.

The appeal of the X1 Carbon is ability to use glass/fiber reinforced polymers. At over 3 times the cost of the A1, so need to be really serious about using it. I've got so many other interests, 3D printing is more a sideline, another tool in the kit. But the X1 is a great machine.

I for one have stopped using PLA in favor of ASA for like 95% of my projects simply because of how much easier it is to post process like reaming a hole to size or filing / sanding a surface. For whatever reason PLA _really_ doesn't like to be Post Processed 🤔 The only gripe I have with it is it coming in even less color variations than ABS which already has less than PLA but that's something I'm currently working on by rebuilding my Voron V2.4 to have its Reverse Bowden Tube routed inside the CPAP Hose to the Tool Head which should enable printing the occasional rare color PLA Inlay into an otherwise mainly ASA Part.

    Frank,
I had a 3D printer with a 12" cube capacity and was never really pleased with the machine, especially after paying $3,000 for it. Now for $500 you have a 10" cube machine. Much better value and looks to be a better design. My machine is about 6 years old, so the technology has come a long way since then. But I did use it enough to wear it out. I just never replaced it. May look into the Bambu Lab machine if it looks like it does a good job for you. Keep us up to date on its performance.
I did notice that it still has the stepper-motor flats on the round sections it prints. That's one of the things I was not really happy with, but it is the nature of the stepper motor Vs a servo motor design. But a servo machine would be very expensive.
When I looked up this machine on the internet I seen it can do multiple colors, is yours the same model?
Also, what slicing software are you using? Does Bambu Lab have a slicing software you can download or do you have to buy one? Especially if you do multicolor.
    Let me know.
    Thanks

Hi Frank. PETG is stronger than PLA if you are going to print stuff for the workshop and you can print it ok out of an enclosure. Bob

Hey Frank I've never used a 3d printer but I was thinking about getting one . Could you print as an example knows for vintage receivers, radios ect.? I'm not familiar with its capabilities . Thank you in advance .

knobs? sure. They'd be plastic, which might be fine for some radios. Vintage receivers/amps mostly had metal knobs that have a feel that won't be duplicated in a plastic knob. That may or may not be a concern.

Sorry Frank. I should have watched to rest of the video before I wrote the first message. The questions were answered there.
