@@antred11 Yes! I love the ending. It matches all the trials and tribulations of the whole show - one last obstacle, which might be painful, but which could be overcome. And anyone who thinks they don't get together in the end I say was never a true believer in the first place. (And my vote is for "gradually". I agree the prospect of having memories erased FOREVER is one of those sci-fi tropes that's more disturbing than most people acknowledge, but the show totally opened the door to them coming back.)
