My Upcoming Cruise On Icon Of The Seas - Including New Video Of The Cruise Ship

- This video about Icon Of The Seas features new video that was shot of the ship as she arrived for the first time at the Port Of Miami. She had just arrived in Florida after a transatlantic crossing after completing construction at a shipyard in Germany.
Along the way, she made her first stop at Coco Cay, where crew members got to enjoy a giant party to celebrate the arrival of the ship in North America.
This is the most anticipated cruise ship of 2024, with huge excitement in the cruise community because she is the first in an all-new class of ships from Royal Caribbean. Not only is she now the world's largest cruise ship, but she also features several unique features that other cruise ships don't have... and many improvements from previous generations of Royal Caribbean cruise ships.
If you're interested in booking a cruise on Icon Of The Seas, or on her sister ship, Star Of The Seas, I want you to feel free to use the services of my travel agent, Caitlin Gallagher of Ambren Travel. Her services don't cost you anything at all, as her fees are paid for by the cruise line. By booking through Caitlin, you can be assured that you are talking to someone that has actually sailed on Icon Of The Seas and can provide reliable answers to your questions.
I've found that it's way better to book cruises through a travel agent than to book directly through the cruise lines. If any problems arise, or you have to make any special arrangements or changes to your cruise, it is way better to have a travel agent arranging everything on your behalf than trying to get your way directly with the cruise line. Also, as an American that has trouble understanding phone agents at foreign call centers, I appreciate dealing with Caitlin since she is an American that speaks with no discernable accent. I find it easy (and pleasant!) to speak with Caitlin over the phone, something I can't say about most cruise lines.

The ship is built in Finland, not Germany
My stupid mistake in not fact-checking that before recording the voiceover. Sorry! I was looking at a picture of the ship under construction at the Meyer Turku shipyard, and I mistook that for the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany.
Can't wait for your take on icon of the seas! Wow she is big!
Yay! I hope you have lots of fun on board this Megaship
Glad you are going! Looking forward to hear how you enjoyed it!
My husband and I love your cruise videos! We are so looking forward to your video tour and your experience on Icon of the Seas! 🙂✨
I can't wait to see the new videos about Icon of the Seas, the new next generation cruise ship of Royal Caribbean International of the new Icon class!
You will be on Icon of the Seas for a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean including Royal Caribbean's private Island in the Bahamas known as Coco Cay a few weeks or a few days from now in February!
Just FYI...
Because it takes me a while to edit videos after I get home, it will be March before my Icon Of The Seas video shows up on my channel.
Great video Jim! While we want to cruise on the Icon and the Star, we are having difficulty justifying the cost to sail these vessels.
It's much less expensive to go on the Celebrity Ascent or Carnival Jubilee. They are new enough for us for now...
Jim I haven't been on a cruise on in many years and I've subscribed to your channel for years. Great information you have. I heard about icon on the seas completion and I thought Jim would be going and I thought when can I see a review and sure enough you are going. Safe travels and I look forward to your review to give me some thoughts if I want to go on that beautiful ship. Thanks again for all you do keep up the great work.
I can’t wait for you to go on Icon. Looking forward to your video!
Thank you for sharing
Wow That Looks Cool.
I agree with you on that. I want everything I paid for up and working when we get on-board a new ship. Yes Catlin is the best!! We only use her. We're on wonder OTS in 3 weeks for a b2b sailing. We do icon for a New years eve cruise at the end of this year. Catlin got us a Great price for that too. Ocean view Balcony for only $3,800 for a inaugural New years eve sailing now it's $14,300 were so glad we listened to you about Catlin so hats off to her. When we first checked the prices you had posted on a cruise thru Catlin we thought no way this can't be true and then I called her just to see and it was true. Thanks for the great video can't wait to see your video on the Icon.
Yeah, there were a LOT of skeptical people when I posted those two videos about Caitlin's special prices on Icon Of The Seas. Way more often than not, when something sounds too good to be true, it is... but in this case, Caitlin had just put her years of experience to good use... by reserving a large number of rooms at a time when cruise prices were low, and a year or so later when prices had gone through the roof, those low-priced rooms that Caitlin had put on hold became a real bargain.
@JimZim yes your correct and we did book one of those rooms on icon and we just got back from it last month and it was incredibly best cruise ever. Looking forward to your video on icon as well. Thank you sir.
Hey Jim! Were onboard with ya! Cant wait to see your vid! I thought that was you filming at the Crowns Edge today!
Looking forward to your review
Hello, Jim Zim. If you are reading this, j would like to have a reply from you.
Anyways,
Remember your G-Scale Videos? I watched them all the time, ending up in making them 80% of my childhood.
4 years later, I’m still watching them.
Anyways, have an absolutely great day, Thank you Jim! Lovely video!

Thanks for watching my videos!
Of all the private islands I’ve traveled to I prefer Cast Away Cay with Disney Cruise Line. I might just do a little shopping and have a bite to eat on Coco Cay. Or just stay on the ship. When you ship docks at an island you have the advantage of half the ship being empty. And enjoy more space to roam around. I look forward to an Eastern Caribbean cruise one day aboard Icon with stops at St Maarten, St Thomas, and Coco Cay. I’ve been to St Maarten and St Thomas from my very first cruise I took in 1996 at age 6. Of course my ship was much smaller. But to re visit those islands off an even bigger ship is really how it’s meant to be.
Which dates will you be cruising on the ICON of the Seas? Thank you
Even though I have a really good security system at the house, a police officer living a block away, and several neighbors on this block with shotguns... I don't think it's a good idea for me to post the exact dates that my house is going to be empty! I know you wouldn't take advantage of the information, but maybe somebody else might try.
So, let's just say that if you see me the work you're aboard... be sure to stop me and say hi!
Hey Jim, new fan & subscriber here after watching one of your American Cruise Line river cruise videos; would you believe, haven't been on a ship since my honeymoon in 1996, that was on RC's Monarch of the Seas, which was the grandest ship of that time, she's probably been retired & disassembled by now, kinda sad !
Sounds like it's about time to get back on a cruise ship!
She has made in shipyard in TURKU, FINLAND!! NOT IN Germany !!!!!!!!!!
Good catch on your part. Sorry about that. I wrote that script off the top of my head, in a matter of a few minutes. I should have checked that detail.
This ship is so much more a beast! I might consider sailing her only for a Caribbean cruise. For Bahamas I prefer Disney. Bon Voyage Jim. Bon Voyage.🛳️
