REVIEW DISCLAIMER:
My Airsoft channel is an ENTERTAINMENT channel where the equipment featured, are predominantly used for my film company. Naturally, I also enjoy collecting, reviewing and playing airsoft, so have merged these entities together to create my channel. I love airsoft and love making these videos. I laugh at myself at times and do not take myself too seriously, so you shouldn't either! 😇 However... Safety and laws surrounding airsoft will always be my top priority!
I do not have the room/space to do long-range accuracy tests. Until I can secure a larger space, what you see in my videos is all I can offer for now. Sometimes I do have access to an outdoor secure field but it is nowhere near where I am based. Please remember my RUclips channel is my hobby and not a business. My channel has never and will never claim to be an expert or professional airsoft product review and testing channel. As stated at the end of all of my videos.
Thanks for stopping by... 😇 Appreciated!
SIDENOTE:
All of the reviews featured on Airsoft Mike’s RUclips channel are brand new, out of the box reviews. So more often than not, all items featured will be in good, if not perfect working order.
A follow-up review of all Airsoft equipment will be done at a later date. (This is taking longer than expected but updates will follow early 2021).
This is so a full and frank opinion can be given. Any faults or issues discovered since the unboxing, will be highlighted in follow up videos.
“This mag doesn’t fit very well” Ahh, yes, very historically accurate airsoft smg. 10/10
*excellent* Its not falling out
Yes, modifying mags to fit the gun in the field. Very accurate, very good, very rkka stuff.
@@gytisbieliauskas8610 you right
@@gytisbieliauskas8610 it just works better as closed bolt for airsoft
Papasha Owner here: Yep
2k rounds? You'll never need to reload.
you have BBs in one drum mag for whole year, only thing thath sucks is winding
My ocd ass would still reload
@@martyboi5609 Literally me in every game I play
You do 🤣 I run about 2.3k double high caps & about 40% of the time, under high heat, I've run out and needed a quick mag fill during combat Haha, always good to have at least 2, 2k sets 👌🏻

This gun makes me want to play call of duty world at war (when call of duty was actually ok).
WWII Is gonna have the PPSh, but it doesn't have the circular guard around the front sight.
Tomtheking987 also cod ww2 isn't a very good game in my opinion. I played it and i hated it
Play Red Orchestra 2, it's a great and realistic game.
Lol whenever I use this gun I end up dumping the whole mag and getting like one hit lol damn that simulated recoil
And call of duty used to be amazing on ps2
Manual: **Exists**
Mike: "Trashes the manual"
The ppsh and the bar are on the top of my list for airsoft guns I want. I already have my all time favorite gun, the sgt-44
Elite Tanker the bar and stg look sooo heavy for airsoft lol

I want the L1A1 FAL more than anything else.
Ah the PPSh41!
I remember having bought it (the ARES version, back then S&T did not exist) back in 2010. As crazy as it might sound it was my first AEG ever. I have played dozens of games with it since I first bought it.
Heavy and cumbersome. Believe me after all these games, I haven't figured out what was the proper way to handle it with the weak hand. The thing is, it is so heavy and un-ergonomic, and you always switch from holding the gun by the mag, the barrel shroud or between the trigger gard and the mag. The most comfortable position is to use when still, is kneeling, weak hand supporting the magazine, and the elbow resting on the knee. The best investment you can do with this gun is a good 2 point sling (AK type). Your arms will thank you at the end of the day.
The magazine is noisy as hell, and gets wobbly with the time. It can cause misfeed with time. Stock accuracy and range are so so. The first component I would suggest to change is the hop-up. The firing response time is not that great either. And unfortunately most of the pieces and the gearbox are proprietary.
That being said, It's a sturdy gun externally (takes the rain, the snow and the mud), it's a super effective in full-auto, simple to use. And it gets the attention of everybody during the day. In a world dominated by extra-tuned and generic M4's, this gun says "Hey ya mothafuckas I don't need bullshit flashlights nor fookin laser sights". It's kinda badass when equipped with a nice WWII/cold war era suite.
Mine is now rusty and full of scratches, covered with dust in my garage. But I hope you will enjoy playing it as much as I did it's a great gun because kinda it's hard to play with. Your video brought back so many good memories of my student times and my first games...
how much would you sell it for
man after getting used to my Daytona ak, the ppsh is like my lightest gun i have ;)
Thanks for another great review, Mike! I've been looking at getting one of these myself and you've convinced me! Thanks! :D
It's the engineering, art, feel & sound of guns we love!
My favourite ww2 smg!
If the letters are just thinly painted on, then a little bit of white spirits or methylated spirits might take the lettering off.
GenerationSmashed will the spirits take the finish along with it?
not if its real blueing. if its just stained/painted it might
Meths does take off some of the paint but it's very thick and still leaves a matt finish. You would have to go to some effort to remove all the paint this way.
GenerationSmashed
The PPSh is an open bolt weapon, the fact this airsoft version isn't open bolt kinda triggers me
GenerationSmashed Its more thank likely just painted, I dont think its chemically etched but could be wrong.
I do. Seeing how history of tech evolved, and the historical representations of weapons, just seems cool
Thank you so much! I just received mine and the magazine didn't fit (not the drum mag, the long thin mag didn't fit) so I filed it a little and now it fits perfectly! Thank you SO much!
My grandfather was in the Red Army, and used this in WW2, he was given this one he was sergeant.
Cool my grandpa was part of the frist division
@Dirtyd23 lol
My great grandfather was in the 2nd Irkutsk Division and he was given a Mosin-Nagant, PPsH-41 and a Tokarev TT-33. He was a "komkor" "комкор". In english, corps commander.
Lieutenant-General equivalent.
Not only did I get to see a cool Airsoft gun, but you have inadvertently showed off that sweet reference book. Checking them out on google there's a bunch of those illustrated encyclopedias on a variety of subjects that are now in my wish list. Thanks!
Thank you for this informational video Airsoft Mike!
I love how enthusiastic his commentary
Hey Mike! I watch all of the videos you post, and I love airsoft! I've never shot a real airport gun, but I just love it anyway. I love the vids, keep it up!
I understand ur love of weapons.
Also I got a ppsh before and it broke but I'm looking for another so I'm glad you've done this review
Love this guy he’s so enthusiastic
I just got one yesterday amazing can’t believe I got one sold out everywhere stick mag fits perfectly fine and the drum mag it’s perfect too I love mine! Can’t wait to use it on the field
I get you man, I’m in love with ww2 weapons, it is just amazing
what a guy, I love this channel
I understand where you're coming from. I too love the looks of historic guns
I got two of those and they sound great when they fire.
You want to cover the white letters use a magic marker on them.
Great gun. Used it at Conflict Vietnam. Can be used as a fairly light SAW.
I'm loving the intro man! Keep it up!
I like the new intro and nice review btw Mike.
Awesome gun review sir!
I don't even play airsoft but I love your videos. I love airsoft guns and real steel guns and love learning about them
this weapons fire rate is so ubsurd that the barrel would heat up. the vents would help but would still be to hot. your forward must hand should hold the side of the drum.
Hi, I must inform you that the real steel ppsh 41 has about the same rate of fire as this airsoft version (cca 900 rounds/min) and yes it does heat up quite significantly but since there are no wooden parts near the barrel it doesn´t matter.
watch this: ruclips.net/video/q2qD_P10paA/видео.html
My favourite series of guns ever! WW2 guns r the best
Once more a wonderful review. I might be wrong but holding it by the mag in the real steel was to help support how heavy the drum was fully loaded, it was not meant for long ranges but could be if you were a really good shot. I look forward to your next video Mike.
TheWanderingMaster you held it by the mag because it was really front heavy and the barrel would heat up. Also unlike the Thompson there isn’t a hand-guard on the barrel as you can see. The iron sights can only be adjusted for up to 200 meters. It was issued to Russian Assault infantry and the Germans preferred it as it was a simpler design.
0:33 THAT'S SAME REASON WHY I LIKE THOSE ERAS! Everyone thinks I like the killing and stuff but in reality I like the equipment used in them.
“Drum mags jam” historically accurate drums.
Beautiful gun
I love your enthusiasm! makes me want to buy some airsoft guns :D
love the new logo!!
Just bought it, fantastic, I love it.
How’s it holding up? Like anything I’ve seen mixed reviews on these, any problems so far?
Just subbed and clicked that bell, nice video man
awesome video as always my dude
I understand how you feel about Guns!
I loved this airsoft gun. It's like a super portable SAW.
I need this in my life 😍
I love your videos, man, especially how you dress up for the videos. Keep it up.👍
And thanks for the like, dude!😁
now SRC needs to finish that Bergman MP18 they promised
*Such a legendary gun*
I love how he calls cilica gel "poison"
Anyone who's watched the film "cross of Iron" just has to love this thing..... For what it's worth, the finish on the airsoft versions is WAY better than the WWII originals. PLUS, you are an evil man, based o n this video, I just blew £200 on one of these things, and im a) a poor student, and b) a nerfer. CANT wait for it to arrive.
Heard and saw the EBB action and had my eyes roll into my head from the perfection.. This gun sounds so good for only 245'ish USA.
Yeah but the ppsh is supposed to be open bolt
Because the the insane rate of fire, the barrel used to get really hot, hence the ventilation ports on the rectangular barrel section. To prevent from burning your hands, they would hold the magazine
Nice review. Made me order one of these puppies from HK.
I love your videos as you don't take yours left really seriously like your in the army you just have fun😂
My fav guns are the MP28 and mp18 something about the look and sound is just amazing
I get it bro, it's just kind of amazing to see how they were built
s&t makes great affordable guns
12:22 *Sings* "Some will hold it up here, some will hold it down here, some will hold it down there."
awesome mike
I like the new logo
S&T Version with the QC Spring Change System is nice. My ARES did not have that. The EBB on my two PPSH's was nice, but first thing I did was Disable it on one and then Polarstar the other. Awesome Replicas!!
Take a Real Steel PPSH Mag, take out the guts and put in a MP5 Midcap internals. Of course, some modding needed.
"Alright Dempsey, once more for old times sake....."
im drooling over my phone rn
got quite the upgrade with the intro 👌
I understand completely what you're talking about at the beginning of this video.
I'm interested in the technology that can be used to wage war while i'm a pacifist.
I think it's due to my interest in advanced technology and more often than not weapons represent the pinnacle of many technologies.
So while i detest the harm people do to each other and the way drone-warfare and airstrikes has become ubiquitous these days, the technology used in making bombs hit that accurately is impressive.
same i love the engineering and history behind it there probably has been no other technology so prevelant and consistently built upon by humans than firearms, plus i think the power and confidence for the everyday person to be able to defend themselves is great, the feeling of safety that comes with owning and caring and being proficient with a firearm is irreplaceable
The ppsh looks so good
Love it I always want one
She's a beauty of a gun! Definitely one to consider purchasing. As for weathering and such, perhaps sandpaper or a grinder?
Bro you don't mess around you get the best of the best man and I love watching your Channel with all this World War II replicas pretty damn amazing man have a good one over that way my good brother and I say we probably be watching your videos all night pimp👍👍👊👊💥✊✊💪💪🇺🇸
Is it just me or are these things sold out everywhere?
@@plesscm5584 I have no clue my friend
I would like to get this but the website I hopefully going to get it on it says it’s by Redwolf and 6mm pro shop
@@plesscm5584 yo there back ins rock on evike, pre order only
I love the way he says it smt
at the beginning of the video I thought it was a recent manufacture of PPSh41 in caliber 7.62 * 25. in fact it is in airsoft.
I have a one of World War II, it took part in great battles [...].
in another channel I wrote that guns do not work with batteries for flashlights. in this case; I'm wrong.
more seriously, I performed ballistics tests with my PPSH41 in perfect working order. the effects are devastating.
hey mike that's a very strange suomi you showed. The regular one looks more like a ppsh /mp18 hyprid with a Drum mag as well and I know the Soviets felt compelled to make the Ppsh because of the problems with the ppd smg and also the extensive use of the Suomi by the finnish. Excellent Review as Always
bro I understand you I love old guns their so cool and I'll take a ppsh any day
I LOVE THE NEW INTRO
Airsoft Mike, I would believe you are correct about how to hold the PPSH-41 with both hands for if the gun does overheat, holding that barrel as the real steel version, you would burn your hand.
I'd strip it down and take a buffing pad to all the steel. It's the right colour, but it needs a bit more of a sheen. Then I'd mix some red and brown enamel paint and dry brush it on a bit to mimic rust spots. The woods fine. I'd just let that weather naturally, and apply a little boiled linseed after each day in the field. That'd do it.
You should do the Thompson net and if you hold the barrel on the real steel PPSH the barrel will heat up and burn you.
It actually doesent overheat becuase it had the holes.
I can help explain my buddy...
See war is not such a good idea for the time now!
And we have done so many bad sh*t in the past but we love the weapons and games they just add so much flavour to the gaming and airsoft Community!
We enjoy these historical types of content!
That's nice I like it
I always personally thought that the drum looked cooler than the banana mags...
It is aesthetic but I like the slim feel of the stick, it loses the iconic charm for most people but the barrel and lack of pistol grip is what makes this gun for me over the mag... It is so dang pretty
yeah
Yeah
17:56 bb cereal😂 (dig in bois 🍴)
But great video! 👍👍👍
PPSh= ultimate satisfaction
A tip on how to remove
cover the white lettering carefully touch sand the letters with fine wet & dry to remove them, and then get some BIRCHWOOD CASEY Aluminum Black and then rub that on the area a few times when fully dry spray over with some back to black car trim there.
We have that book! It's a good read
Had the same issue with the stick mags, but with a very tight fit. Lubed surfaces and squeezed the fins together a bit.
take a black expo dry erase marker an mark over it an wipe off an repeat untill your desired darkness i did this with my auto ordnance thompson m1a1 an that worked great
Finally the beast finnish gun! We call this weapon in Finland "Suomi konepistooli"
Hirvimies that isn't the KP31 finnish smg
that is blyatiful comrade!
Tovarisch
Do you understand that, you just insulted the gun :l "That is bitchiful comrade!" or something around those lines
Da
Rage Incarnate there is a difference between blyat and blyatiful
We shall rush b with it!
Love it

Hi Mike! Love your channel, are you planning on reviewing the g and g ARP 9? Im considering buying one but there is hardly any reviews.
Just bought this gun, waiting for it to be delivered
I feel you Mike, I am fascinated with firearm history and science/innovation. But I am anti war
My most Fav is my Colt SAA Nicle plated 6 Shooter
Lol, I actually found a RUclipsr who is also fascinated by historical weapons. Especially some of the guns that use wood that you don’t see around these days. Also the unique guns like the M16A1 with the weird ass barrel
I absolutely love mine. It dominates on the airsoft field. I accidentally screwed up the first motor by putting a battery in that was too strong for it. After replacing the motor this thing runs like a champ.
What battery do you currently use?
@@EZ-8the one I have, uses a large Tamiya adaptor for a small tamiya plug, 11.1 works fine but 7.4v works the best
hey my name is Ronaldo and I live in Brazil. I watch your video Everyday ✌✌💪
I can totally relate
