Way after midnight a few die hards gathered around enjoying Frederick Hodges & Martin Spitznagel playing piano! This is just one of the musical treats they cooked up. It was GREAT!
"The Entertainer" A Scott Joplin tune that the fellas have fun improvising.
This all took place during the Annual West Coast Ragtime Festival in Sacramento, CA in mid November of 2008.

Totally charming improvisations of The Entertainer. Great job!!! Cant wait until I can travel to one of these events a couple years from now and experience in all in person.
Frederick actually did break into the Mister Rogers theme seconds later because of that. tdub1941 has posted that too. The title of that video is "Frivolous Fun with Familiar Tunes" since it also contains them riffing on the Sesame Street theme. Search for that title in quotes and you'll find it. It's very cool, ending with Sesame Street in Fats Waller style!
This and the Sesame street riff are just too much fun! Thanks for posting!
Do I spy Tom Brier in the background? Not that his presence at such an affair would be at all surprising.
Yes, that's Tom Brier taking a break from the piano bench.
tdub1941 What a tight-knit group you have here. I like it.

I love 'em too!
