I do believe this is the very first time I have heard Victor Borge play an entire song all the way through without stopping. I have only seen him in his comedy routines which I have always enjoyed immensely.
Wonderful. He may be known for silly antics and great music playing at the same time, but it's even more beautiful to listen to him play the piano seriously. It's the same with comedic actors who really know their work and have amazing skill at acting itself. When Robin Williams played a serious character, you always believed it. Something not easily done by people like Jim Carry who have been type-casted as always playing themselves. And when Robin played an "evil" character, he astonished you and made you fearful of what he might do next. THAT, my friends, is being a master at their craft.
Not gonna talk about the performance cause it was beautiful . BUT ... am i the only one that in the first opening part heard NOTHING BUT COUGH from the audience?

How can anyone hear his name pronounced properly and then pronounce it so wrong (borzh)?
I don’t know!
When I was a kid I just thought he was funny. No idea he was teaching me music.
