    I just had to tell you - I want ahead and bought the Wren and just as you described it, it writes beautifully, glides over the paper and it a joy to use. I can't get over how small it looks when you fully close the pen. It's a marvel of engineering! Thanks, Natasha!

      Oh I’m so glad!!! Just finished a project with the Wren and it is just such an awesome product! I really do try to be as neutral as possible in my reviews but this pen is really fantastic!

    I've been looking at this pen and finally bit the bullet. Thank you for the review and also the discount code. It's a beautiful pen and I can't wait until it arrives.

    Just found your video, been watching Toms studio for a while but the Wren just hit all the bases for me. I have been using it for a few days now with Diamine Sargasso Sea blue and your right the nib is amazing. I have small sealable sample bottles and bought spare nibs and reservoirs so that I can store charged ones and swap colours out. Writes so smooth. I'm mainly a fountain pen user UK based and this right now is my everyday carry. Good review. The size works for me but maybe a clip on pen clip could be a future accessory just for the shirt pocket.

      Tom’s was kind enough to send me some of their bottles so I just need the extra nibs. I love the ink it came with too so may have to top that up too! I am constantly reaching for this pen (and have even lost it a couple times on my desk 😅) but I am really loving it! And thank you for the kind words about the review. I wanted to do the pen justice! It really is great! And maybe one day there will be a slightly longer version 😆

    I enjoyed your presentation very much. You explain everything so clearly! Thank you! Could I ask you: another reviewer said that he noticed a small problem with the wren. He said: "The only issue I’ve had so far is the tip becoming dry and then not writing. The fix is easy, just dip the tip in some water and it flows freely again."
    Has this problem happened with you? I was just about to buy the pen when he reported back about this....

      I left my Wren uncapped overnight (by accident), and just has to scribble a little to get the ink flowing again. I would be comfortable removing the nib and running it through a stream of water. I've actually grabbed a second Wren since I haveloved using it so much.

    Thanks for the review. A few questions for you:
    Is it compatible with the nibs for the lumos as well?
    How is the wren nib for writing/drawing very small?

      I ended up answering this on my blog and meant to include it in the video so thank you for reminding me. No, the Lumos nibs are not compatible. You can make them fit but they don't sit as securely as they do in the Lumos. The Wren is more of a writing pen where as the Lumos is more drawing. In terms of use, the Lumos is comparable to Microns (but one pen instead of many 😅), and the Wren leans more toward a gel pen (but nothing is stopping you from using it for more).
      I would say the Wren is a medium tip size - somewhere between 0.3 and 0.5. If you push down hard, it does lean more to 0.5. This does mean you can add some calligraphy into your work/notes. I do absolutely love this nib and want it in the Lumos too now! I've bene using it consistently since I got it and really do love it.

    How do you find the ink for smudging? I'm left handed and not sure if this will be a mess for me.

    • @NatashaMillerCreates
      @NatashaMillerCreates  Месяц назад

      The ink was pretty quick to dry. It depends on the paper you’re using but for non-coated paper, I found it dried quickly. I did find it would bleed on thinner paper (I tested on 80GSM and use 160GSM myself). Mark Your Pages on RUclips is left handed so could give better feedback 😊 @mark.your.pages

    Does the ink bleed through paper?

    • @NatashaMillerCreates
      @NatashaMillerCreates  Месяц назад +2

      I use 160GSM paper and I don’t have any bleed through issues. Tested in an 80GSM moleskin and it did bleed through - especially when doing calligraphy

    Does the ink dry quickly? Trying to work out if its more like fountain pen ink or gel pen ink! Thanks.

    • @NatashaMillerCreates
      @NatashaMillerCreates  Месяц назад +1

      It depends on the paper of course but on the 160GSM, it was within a second to dry. So looks like a gel pen consistency out of the pen but a lot quicker to dry than a gel pen

      That's just the ink it comes with too of course. It can use almost any fountain pen ink!
