This would make sense, as most gems, or at least it's implied, most gems never meet their diamonds
samantha mcburney True, but Jasper was a very special creation; she wasn't one of the tons of Rubies, ordinary Quartzes or other lower-strata Gems. She's one of the few Earth-made Gems deemed worthy enough to serve Yellow Diamond directly, and not like the Famethysts sent to rot at obscure posts.

Pink probably would’ve met Jasper, considering Jasper is the perfect solider. I think that Jasper was told that Pink wasn’t overcooked, wasn’t defective. Jasper and Pink likely met, and Pink probably fangirled over this perfect gem. I think Pink probably left Jasper to command fights.
Or maybe she didn't, and Yellow saw Jasper as Pink's greatest accomplishment and in typical Yellow fashion celebrated military might while repressing real feelings that haven't gone away. It makes sense that Yellow would prize Jasper over Pink's other gems, giving those to Blue. Blue holds on to everything she can of Pink, Yellow only holds on to what concurrently matches her view of value. She still hasn't accepted Pink for who she was, or herself for how she judged Pink.

Here’s my theory, what if she did know pink diamond on a personal level and at a time, did believe that off colors, or at least Pink diamond, could do their duties just as well as anyone else. But unfortunately she had some kind of task to do somewhere else and couldn’t save Pink diamond, and has hated herself and in her grief blamed Pink Diamond’s death on her being defective. This could then lead to her hating other ‘off color’ gems or people who don’t follow the Diamond’s command of living as a coping mechanism.
Just a thought though

CMG Coolcg2020 Personally I think Amy might try and be a tad more delicate since she realised in 'Earthlings' that Jaz isn't perfect and is so emotionally hurt that they could literally be sisters. She even was nice to the rubies who are all fan girls, she could have acted cruel as Jasper and painted her bad in their mind but she handled it very respectfully which was quite nice of her.

I agree that in those final moments Amethyst was very sympathetic with Jasper. Seeing her this wounded and helpless must have made Amethyst realise just how little her physical perfection means.
If Jasper ever comes back they will likely have a heart-to-heart and maybe a trip to the Zoo to meet the family.
Or maybe she did know. Maybe that's why she hates defective Gems. Maybe she blames the flaws for her Diamond's demise. Maybe she was always encouraging Pink, in spite of her flaws, which lead Pink to be even more over confident and maybe that's what ultimately lead to her possibly being shattered. But who really knows...

Umm no she’s a quartz soldier and not a particularly fancy one, so there’s no way she would be in pinks entourage. The only quartz who could be that close is rose or was. It’s nice to think that jasper was close to pink but it would be really going out there.
Cause when rose rebelled, a gem who pink personally had a hand in creating I don’t think pink diamond would want to be close to another quartz like that again.
And it’s already established that rose quartz had been a known threat for years before the shattering of pink diamond. Jasper was fighting her from the day she was born there was no way those 2 would have met.
Kathryn Quintin - Maybe out there but so is thinking that she has never had anything to do with her own Diamond. While it is possible, it's no more likely that she didn't meet with Pink Diamond at least once, than having never seen her at all. Of course she wasn't in her direct entourage, she was war hero fighting out in the field where they needed her most and had little time for court affairs.
Remember the Gem architecture? For that matter Yellow asking about Jasper specifically and becoming irritated by Peridot for questioning her? Maybe not all Gems, or Diamonds for that matter, but a lot of Gem culture seems very vain in some regards, a sort of form over function personality.
Ask yourself this, why would Pink never wish to look upon her shining Star? Her perfect Quartz, from what may have been an otherwise failure of a kindergarten. Possibly because of shame for the projects failure but I'm almost positive Pink would want to flaunt Jasper off as much as possible, maybe she was even jealous of Jasper's perfection in the face of her own flaws. Maybe none of that mattered as much as we seem to think it does.
Regardless, Jasper was trophy and a model example of the perfect quartz soldier from almost nothing, a Diamond in the rough if you will and I've no doubt that even if they were't that close. These two Gems had a lasting impact on one another, for the better or worse.
She basically said she never did when she said that she has been "fighting ever since" she broke free of the earth's crust "because of what you (Rose/Steven) did to my Diamond"! She made it seen like she was already shattered when she emerged from the Earth.

I just realised that when yellow diamond talks to peridot, yellow is in a moon base. What’s she doing eh?
It looks similar but the chair and surroundings are very different from other moon bases, she probably was on homeworld.
Ollie Thomas Seeing from Jungle Moon that the moon base was used to create a colony, i'd say that she may have been at a moon base to check up on the status of a colony. However there is something different about this one. The chair in it is different than the chairs in the other moon bases. So i wonder what makes that one different than the others?
Awesome theory, I hope it turns out to be right! I have a theory that might sound a bit odd. As much as it sounds awesome for there to be an over-cooked Diamond, what if Pink Diamond isn't over-cooked after all? In the Diamond Authority symbol, Blue and Yellow are parallel (on the same level); so it would make sense they're around the same size/height and authority. What if Pink is supposed to be very small and trusted with less responsibilities due to being on the bottom of the symbol, and White Diamond turns out to be very large (larger than Blue and Yellow) and has the most power due to being on the top? In fact, that would even help shed some light on why those images of White Diamond that appeared during the recent episodes on Homeworld made her look so large. Anyways, that's just a thought I had. Theory in like three sentences; The war started after Pink diamond was shattered. It was said in the show that when Jasper popped she took out a bunch of rebel soldiers. Jasper was formed during the war and therefore after Pink’s shattering.

I think that Jasper did meet her, and that Jasper's behavior became what it is because of her beliefs when she met Pink Diamond. She is in denial that her Diamond is the way she is, so she is overcompensating.
With all that we've learned now about Yellow actually loving Pink and feeling guilty about her death, her devoting so many resources to saving one of Pink's remaining gems could arguably be motivate by sentimental reasons.
What if the disconnect between pink and her images was because she form shifted...and she did it to the extent she damaged herself... and she was actually going to meet with Rose to be healed when she had catastrophic failure, shattered, and Rose got the blame, and Rose never said anything because she felt she failed her Diamond. (Even though they disagreed) I give this a low possibility but I still think it interesting given no one seems to know what happened (or there is a conspiracy.

For starters, Rubies are dum- lol jk- Eyeball has no way of knowing when exactly Jasper's emergence would have happened, I would assume only Kindergarteners would know. She could've just asked based on assumption because she is a known Quartz to have fought in the war. But given that she was actually in the war as well, I'd imagine she'd have a good idea of time placement over the thousand-year war. But then again, why would Eyeball say she was a witness to Pink Diamond's shattering if thats not what really went down. All the holes we have to fill in for the entire war make it confusing to pin point specific events.
Honestly, Jasper's finishing statement before corruption "I've been fighting from the second I broke free from the Earth's crust because of what you did to my Diamond" is what mostly opposes beliefs that she emerged beforehand.

I'm not against the idea of Jasper never meeting Pink Diamond, but considering that Jasper is the perfect Quartz and a well known war hero on Homeworld I kinda doubt it.
To be fair, holly blue agate did like yellow more than blue despite being born in blue’s court. I think it’s just something about yellow that certain gems like, whether or not they’re in her court.
As well, I think that since jasper hated herself for coming from earth, she’d hate herself even more once she learned that she would’ve been in the court of an off-color diamond

I think it's possible Jasper could have known Pink was defective. When the mind can't handle something, it can suppress it. Jasper was made to hold Pink diamond in the respect of a god. If she discovered her true nature close to the event of the shattering, it's entirely possible Jasper just couldn't deal with it and chose to suppress it all in favor of compliance to her purpose.

I don't think so, just because it was half way through the war doesn't mean Pink was Shattered at that point. Rose was a Rebel for 100's of years by the time Pink got Shattered, and I would assume that Pink being shattered is what caused the other diamonds to corrupt Earth with their song, I don't think they would have waited long after Pink was Shattered to do that act it was probably days or even hours after Pinks demise that homeworld deemed Earth a lost cause.

At this point the only person who could pull Jasper out of her mentally unstable state might very well be pink diamond herself, not as a memory but as the actual individual herself(brought into Jasper's mind via Steven's dream powers), the show has yet to show us any concrete evidence of her shattering(least none that couldn't be fabricated).
AzurenGamer I do think there's a high posibility that pink isnt really shattered but I think Steven is gonna be the one to help her
not only is it possible for pink to not be shattered but its also possible she's active in this non-shattered state, remember the gemstone on the American dollar in this show and its uncanny resemblance to pink's? the crewniverse don't often make moments like that without a reason behind it.
