Thank you! Wife is coming home in 30 minutes, and I said I would hang the curtains up today! Done with lots of time left! You rock.
Nice job pumping it out before she got home!! I bet they turned out great! Thanks for sharing 🤙
@ColtonCrumpDIY I'll find out soon enough!! Haha, 6 inch by 6 inch rule of thumb is golden.
LoL
All these years i have been struggling… lol i could cry. Thank you.
No longer on the verge of tears. Go be free of the struggle. Haha thanks for watching and commenting!
I LOOOVEE quick videos for just basic (recap_) stuff. No BS about your life etc. No offense! But thumbs up.

I can't wait to get home and hang my new curtains
You got this!! It'll be great. Best of luck 🥳
You explained this perfectly. thank you so much
Thank you!! Appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching and commenting.
Doesn't say how to drill the holes for the anchors.
Good point. Get a bit that is the right size for your anchors, drill in. Ba da bing ba da boom
@@ginburke3158 that's the worst part too
Oh my god I almost ended it all last week trying to hand these dang curtains up … I wish I would’ve had sense enough to look up a video… I thought i was grown and tried to do it with no guidance 😂
Did you eventually get them installed though?! Hope this video was kind of helpful?
Really nicely explained, thank you
Welcome! Thank you for watching and commenting!
This is perfect
Boo ya! Thank you and thanks for watching / commenting
Beautifully done! Good work.
Thank you! I do appreciate the compliment and taking time from your day to watch and comment.
Thank you! No more curtains tacked into the wall lol
Woo! I'm familiar with that look haha. You are welcome and thanks for commenting and watching!
Awesome bro!
Thanks! I had enough of the adhesive ones when my curtain rod fell and smacked me right on the forehead
100% don't go with the adhesive solution. This is much more sturdy. Hope you're okay!
What about the studssss? Don’t u have to find the studs in order to make holes in the wall?
Not necessarily. I prefer to fasten to studs a much as I can as it provides much more stability. When it comes to curtain rods, they are almost always pretty lightweight. So you can use drywall anchors and then fasten into those.
hello what is the length of your curtain rods thank you.
Hello! I believe they were like somewhere between 72 to 80 inches. I put a few options in the description that might be helpful on what you're looking for. Hope this helps!
Great video but you went through it to fast 😅 thanks though
Thanks for the feedback!! Appreciate you watching and complimenting :)
Do you have drill the holes on wood or can it be on the drywall? Installed some last week and they fell. Maybe the curtains are too heavy?
Great question. I always prefer to secure everything I'm doing like curtain rods into wood. But it doesn't always line up that way. That's where the drywall anchors come into play and help reinforce it. If you're doing it into drywall, I'd suggest anchors. Something like this amzn.to/44TVoS3
@@ColtonCrumpDIYinstalled with anchors and still fell. I’ll look to place it on wood if possible. Ty sir
If my ceiling isn't level, is there something I should do? Or will it be noticeable? About a half inch difference from the ceiling on either side.
Honestly this is wear you have some wiggle room. You could have curtains chosen out, hold those up, and position it where you want to curtains to be: touching the floor, dragging, or above. With that said... youre going to have your rod be a hard parallel line that would catch more people's attending or eyes, thus maybe leading attention to that your ceiling is not level. But then if the framing around your window is level, you have to choose, be even with the window, be even with the ceiling, or find a happy medium.
If it were me, I default to, do the job right, make it level. If it's too bad, no harm. If it's noticeable and will bug you, do a gradual incline so it's less noticeable and your curtains still look evenly balanced on the floor
@@ColtonCrumpDIY you're literally the best. Subscribed for life.
Hahaha appreciate it! I'll try to not let you down with future videos.
Hey Colton love the videos quick question. How do I bid on floor and shower tile ??
Are you asking how to do a job bid so someone can pay you that amount to install floor tile or for a shower? Or you bidding on actual material needed to do a job?
😢 I needed help putting on the finial/ends ha ha
Sometimes those can be the most annoying part where you think its tight enough but then keep twisting just a bit more and it just keeps spinning and the next thing you know, you have the finial in your hand the and bolt with the threads still there. Haha. Hope you got it figured out!!! Thanks for watching and commenting.
the screw won't go into the stud
Have you tried turning it on and off again?
Haha. Kidding. Could be a few things:
1. The screw isn't grabbing because not enough pressure is being applied while getting to screw it in
2. It's not grabbing because the material behind your sheetrock isn't actually wood. Could be a plaster, a metal sheet or something else that a wood screw wouldn't normally grab
3. There is something obstructing it like a water pipe, pex, pvc clean out drain, etc.
I would highly recommend trying to understand where any potential pipes or material your house is made up of to see if you are able to complete this project. This is just a demonstration of one way to complete this project. So if you have concerns or any issues, I would consult a local general contractor in your area.
Best of luck!!
Would have been much nicer had you gone slower!
Sorry! I was in a rush. Haha. I'll keep that in mind next time.
@@ColtonCrumpDIY you were fine. I totally get overwhelmed with these videos that take 10 min to get to the point. Will follow your channel
Thank you! I appreciate it!
What i do is i slow the speed of the video down. Also just pause where you want to look at something. Lastly i will turn on closed captioning, then stop the video too. Lots of different ways to get what you want out of a video. I like the speed of his, maybe a bit slower yes, but at least hes not dragging out every detail like some. Best ones are middle speed, then speed up the long boring parts, so we see them but dont need to see details.
Wtf. Where does it say how to make sure it's straight
Do you mean where I talk from 1:14 to 1:35? Or at 2:03?
