Thank you, Christine! The beauty of these homes truly captivates the imagination. We're delighted you found inspiration in them. Here’s to more beautiful discoveries together!
Barbara, I sincerely apologize for the wait and truly appreciate your patience and enthusiasm. We have lots of new ideas planned for our upcoming videos, from exploring the chic styles of the Hamptons to the colonial charm of Williamsburg, and even diving into Belgian interior design styles. We always value our viewers' input through polls and your feedback has been instrumental. I remember your interest in dining room design tips and inspiration-stay tuned, as we’ll definitely be covering more of that! Thank you for being such an integral part of our community! ❤️
This is very typical of the style we have in Queensland, Australia. We have old wooden houses called Queenslanders, which generally have verandahs all the way around, lots of cane furniture, palms and my favourite, ceiling fans!
That’s amazing to hear! The British Colonial style has such a timeless charm, and it sounds like there’s a beautiful overlap with the Queensland style. Those wrap-around verandahs, wooden details, and airy interiors really create that perfect blend of elegance and tropical vibes. It’s wonderful to see how styles from different parts of the world can share similar touches while maintaining their unique flair. Thanks for sharing a bit about your beautiful Queenslander homes!
Thank you so much, Emma! I’m glad you loved the spaces and found some inspiration for your new house! 😊 Haha, yes, that fan does seem to pop up everywhere, doesn’t it? It’s definitely a classic touch in British Colonial interiors-practical, but also a bit iconic at this point! 🤣 Wishing you all the best with your new home!
I would luv more deep mahogany woods with rattan blended in and then no more Palm ceiling fans. The deep colored woods are also on the floors, no bleached oak floors. And then color drenched rooms in jewel tones. Gauze fabric for the windows, or better yet plantation shutters, with Gauze fabric flowing when shutters are open. This everything white or gray is not only depressing, it's nauseating. Balancing colors in the upholstery, yes some paisley chairs or pillows on a solid colored sofa. Old hard covered books . U get the idea 😂
I absolutely get the idea! Your vision sounds incredibly rich and inviting-deep mahogany woods, jewel tones, and gauze fabric create such a warm and cozy atmosphere. And I couldn’t agree more about moving away from the all-white or gray trend. Balancing those lush colors with classic elements like paisley and old hard-covered books really brings everything together beautifully. Thanks for sharing your inspiration! 😊
My conservatory is British Colonial style and I love it, but I’m always afraid to use the word Colonial when I describe it because of the looks I get. It really annoys me. I wish we could talk about it more. Maybe it’s because I’m British that I feel this way.
Thanks, Rob, for sharing your thoughts! British Colonial style is such a beautiful and timeless aesthetic, and it’s understandable that you feel frustrated about the hesitation around the term. It definitely deserves more open discussion, as the style celebrates a rich design history. I’d love to explore ways to talk about it thoughtfully and showcase how it can be appreciated today. Your conservatory must be stunning!
Would like to see Dee French country, reds blues, yellows and green. Toile. No more of this " neutral French country " that's not true deep southern France " French country " we need Color in our interior design 😂😂😂😂😂
I completely agree with you-true French country style is all about those vibrant colors! We actually have a dedicated playlist on French interiors that you might love. Be sure to check it out! 🎨😊

Although the name is problematic the style is sophisticated tropical elegance and doesn't get talked about nearly enough in design spaces

That's a fantastic suggestion, Ramona! We'll definitely look into creating a video about French bedrooms. Thanks for the idea! 🌟
