What’s wrong with Invisalign? Just tell the dude, “Hey, I have Invisalign and I’ve got to take it out to eat, can I run to the bathroom really quick?” Or just say you need to pee or something.
Pro tip: Store your retainers in cold water to reduce shrinkage. This way you can leave it in and won't have to worry too much about them not fitting later on - From my orthodontist 😀
How about inside a refrigerator or freezer?

@@henryijeoma Never freeze them but just put them in water in a container and place in the fridge so the water stays cold. I would keep it in water rather than just sticking in the fridge by itself.

My friend lost so much weight with Invisalign because she was too lazy to take them out and then clean them every time she wanted to eat something. So she ate a lot less.

If your date can't handle you taking out Invisalign then they are not the one. Invisalign is something you should be proud of because it's a step you took for your health.
They can probably handle it, its just gross and awkward sometimes

Why did you switch to braces? I’m only a week in, but I’m finding Invisalign super easy-the only issue is going out, because I don’t want to deal with taking them in/out in a public restroom, so I’ll just have to go without them, but maybe I’ll figure out out a way to do it that’s sanitary-I just feel like I’d have to wash my hands between each step to-too many icky things to touch!
This reminds me when I went to a restaurant and my mom told me to “take it off secretly” so no one would know. I didn’t care and still did it in front of the waiter. They didn’t care which proved my point to my mom. I said nothing to her but I knew I was right that no one cared.
Haha, okay, while I think it’s super important to be respectful of your parents, I also love the confidence and boldness you displayed with this. And not that you were being disrespectful per say but more that you wanted to also reassure your mom that it was no big deal to take them out. @@PeaceIsYeshua It wasn’t to correct anything crazy - when the braces came off my teeth were straight, but the retainer they gave me didn’t do an amazing job on the top and some teeth started shifting back just enough for it to bother me. So they gave me the Invisalign (actually it wasn’t the name brand, just their in-house lab but idk what else to call it) to re-correct that and hold everything in place more precisely

@@PeaceIsYeshua Oh, it really wasn't _that_ bad - they're just inconvenient when you want to eat. You get used to them very quickly and they don't hurt like braces. You also don't really see them, either. It was a great call not putting my braces back on because that would have been overkill for the level of correction, unnecessarily expensive and much more uncomfortable. I was fine with braces for the main correction but I much preferred the invisalign thing at that point.

I had/have Invisalign. Now I’m on my retainer. I had refused to get braces so when I switched dentists and heard about Invisalign, I was like sign me up!
I wanted to get braces and then I heard about Invisalign’s and it was not going to hurt then I figured out that I have to take them off and put them on and I walked the halls today and saw people wearing braces and no Invisalign’s and I think I am the only one and now I want braces or I want my teeth to be straight
Lmao I feel this, when I was at school before online school, I had to take them out during recess and lunch breaks so I could eat. Some of my friends would just watch me while I’d take them out... it was so awkward 😭😂

well I’ve had mine for almost a year now and by this point my friends have kinda gotten used to it, but it’s still pretty awkward in front of bigger crowds haha. my orthodontist told me that I don’t have to actually brush my teeth when I’m at school, but to make sure I just swish water around my mouth to get any food out, and then brush my teeth once I get home. I find that apple helps to get food out also. I just put my invis back in when sitting down out at recess/lunch, and sometimes get a friend to cover me :) hope this helps!

Maybe carry a travel sized mouthwash with you and just swish with that before putting them back in? Or maybe use a xylitol lozenge.

If you heard and seen the process on my teeth you would scream 😅 I had all four canines impacted and my baby teeth never fell out (im 21) then I went in for surgery for an exposure and bond and the surgeon never did the exposure and bond so it was surgery for nothing ! My ortho was furious so now my ortho is being so nice and working with what he’s got so I have a tooth on the roof of my mouth laying flat that has a string pulled to one in the back to get it to move over and I have 2 springs on the bottom to keep my teeth from moving into the gaps where the surgeon never exposed and bonded the teeth to hope they come up .

Am i the only one who don't have issues with they invisalign ? I never run into these issues I see other people have & nobody never had an issue they mostly ask questions like how much are they, do they hurt & how long do I keep them in/out, it literally never caused an issue in my life besides having to brush my teeth every time I eat ...what I didnt know was how long your teeth took to start/stop moving, for 95% of the process I thought if I had them out for more than 20-30min they was gonna start shifting back so I always stressed about not having them out for so long but now ima stop stressing so much on the timing even though I'm about to be done in about 2months, process was amazing & results were exactly what I wanted
