Ali Sadpara along with two Spanish climbers in February 2016 were the first expedition to climb Nanga Parbat in winter. May his soul rest in peace.
Thank you for this spectacularly beautiful video! It’s great to see kind, friendly mountaineers too, who don’t make so much ado about themselves, but have their eyes only on the beauty and grace of the native people and landscape!

RIP to one of the greatest, Ali Sadpara.
Pakistani mountaineer Ali Sadpara is the first man in the world to summit this killer mountain in winters! He was so experienced that he carved his own way up this mountain, reached earlier than others. He asked other climbers to follow him on his newly made route but all refused out of fear. So when he was returning back after summit the same climbers requested him to take them from his route. Out of sheer courtesy and considering himself a host to the guest climbers, he pushed for the summit for second time. Unfortunately he has gone missing on his recent 'First K2 winter summit' along two other climbers, and they are presumed dead. Considering his experience and bravery my heart still can't believe he's dead. The rescue operations are on and we all are hoping for some miracle. Bless you our lovely Sadpara! Unfortunately if the mountain has you, RIP!

What are the three most difficult mountains in the world ?
K2 of course, Annapurna, and... Nanga Parbat !
It must feel great to be on top of these mountains.
Nanga Parbat is really special, very stiff, and very cold, maybe the coldest of all.

Funny how I do not see myself actually doing this, yet in my most vivid dreams I am hiking up a huge mountain, leaving my friends below because they have given up.

At the near end of the video, K2 appears to be looking at you as if to say "I'm right here if you wanna try".
While K2 is just as dangerous and difficult (if not slightly more), I'd somehow feel more comfortable on that route given how much more established and frequently climbed it is.
@@michaelpryor78 - I've heard and read that Annapurna is more dangerous and actually has the higher fatality rate.
@@briansam2524 It is more dangerous. I was talking about K2 in comparison to this. The consensus seems to be that K2 and Nanga Parbat are ranked #2 and #3 respectively in terms of danger. What I'm saying is that even though K2 might be ranked slightly higher, I'd probably be less nervous climbing it for the reason I described above.
@@michaelpryor78 - First I appreciate the fast response, second, I'm sorry if I misread your post and when I reread what you said, yes, K2 is a bit more dangerous, that's why they call K2 the "Savage Mountain".
@@briansam2524 Surely Annapurna has a bit more fatality rate. But only fatality rate doesn't make a mountain more dangerous. Probably Annapurna's extreme snowfall makes it hard and not many people did it, so its unpredictable. Problem with K2 is that all the issues with it are quite know but its still unpredictable. Weather is extreme with less snow, avalanches full of rocks and ice. wind speeds of 200 kph and weather not even predicted by accurately by meteorologists. Many years summiteers come and leave without even trying/some attempts or even reaching within 200m of the top and then returning. Most of the ace climbers have rated K2 as most difficult but yeah opinions can differ based on subjective scenarios and experiences.

Well, it is generally hard to find such high altitude footage on Nanga Parbat... probably because everyone's too busy to record all of it 😄 believe me, it's a very very hard climb.

RIP Danielle Nardi and Ali Sadpaara both attempted to summit this killer beast together. Unfortunately, both have left the world on mountains Danielle slept on nanga parbat and Ali closed his eyes at K2. Missing them both badly😢

Hah, in this case we just took all the load on our shoulders and prepared pleasant journey and a different perspective for our friends and mountain lovers ^^
