I would definitely add Ominous Seas to this list. It's a 2 drop enchantment with: "Whenever you draw a card, put a foreshadow counter on Ominous Seas. Remove eight foreshadow counters from Ominous Seas: Create an 8/8 blue Kraken creature token. Cycling 2" So every 8 draws you get a free 8/8 kraken token. I run this in every blue deck I build.
@@PubStompMTG Absolutely. Even if you're running a spellslinging deck or such, getting a free 8/8 blocker on the board is a gamechanger. I ran it with Niv-Mizzet Parun and got 2 krakens out in one turn. Fun times.
Just throwing my 2 cents in. Tbh o feel like animar is one of the strongest commanders for sea monsters. Dump a ton of them out for super cheap, and scales very well with up the beanstalk and similar effects
Been wanting to build a Sea Monsters tribal deck for a while now. Going to use Kiora, Sovereign of the Deep in combination with Descendants Path. I just love cheating out big monsters, along with my Pantlaza Dinos and Mirrym Dragons.
My favorite EDh deck is a simic deck with Kiora as commander. previously it was imoti , which allows you to cascade into a bunch of stuff. that being said i dislike kennosses as a SC- commander . with the reasons that you have to invest a bunch of cards to manipulate your deck in order to consistently cheat out stuff. aka. you have to cut out quite a few sea creatures for generic scry effect cards. which in my opinion is the biggest crime for a sea creature deck.
Runo Stromkirk is definitely my goto Sea Creature deck. His ability to create tokens them once he flips & even make doubles up on them is just amazing. Just make sure you have a Mirrorbox or Mirror Gallery out so that you can clone those legendary monsters.
Came across this on my feed, and had always been interested in making a sea creatures deck. I love the style of giving multiple commander options and general idea/good includes for the deck. Would be cool to also expand into different areas besides just creature types (artifact, mill, equipment, planeswalkers, etc), if you haven't. Haven't watched other videos yet, so not sure if you are already doing this, but maybe add a dedicated "ways to win" section? For Sea Monsters, it's pretty obvious (big creatures - smash face), but with some other deck types, like planeswalkers, I have no idea how to win this that.
Thanks friend, I hope one day to finish my 4 deck well (eldrazi, dragon, dino and sea monster) I don't know if the hydras have the same one but I'll see later, thanks for your guides, they are great! Much success!!
My deck building is pretty much the same! Dragons, dinosaurs, sea monsters, eventually go to make a hydra deck, a mutant/ fungus descend mill deck and elemental deck
I run a ton of sea creatures in my main simic deck, most of these are in there besides the last card you mentioned. Which is insanely good to know because I built it all from my bulk and it works massively well! 🙂 Gonna add some of those extras to help keep the synergy going tho. So far I’ve got plenty of sea creatures, a few Dino’s and 2 Eldrazi. The deck is super scary! 😂
with the card aetherspouts if they declare attackers and I use the instant can they not attack anymore if they choose or are they still forced to attack with declared attackers and put them back in the library? Thanks kinda of a greenhorn at the game
@PubStompMTG there's a shocking amount of people wanting to play a spell slinging otter, but with lutri banned we haven't been able to. I'll be VERY surprised if a video on this new otter doesn't do well
Yeah, I am aware, but the MTG universe shows Nezahal as a Dinosaur. Same thing for Pteranodons. They ain't dinos either but MTG gave them the Dinosaur typing grouping them together
Sea creature is what got me into magic! Happy you made this video!!!!
Glad to have made this! It was very fun!

That can be very powerful!

A super fun card I put in my Aesie deck.
That intro 😵💫🦑 more guides to creature types please!!
Most definetly!
Love the big sea creatures!!! Some of my favorite types of creatures in Magic. Thanks for making this video!
Glad to make it! It was a fun time😎🤙
Greatest intro on any youtube video on youtube , those sea creatures gave me chills
I appreciate it!
Aesi has been an incredible commander although admittedly it is not a sea monster tribal deck. It combines some landfall interactions.
Love it! Was tempted to build runo, I like the idea of reanimatior getting guyruda out and cloning him to get the etb triggers
Runo does seem fun!
Just throwing my 2 cents in. Tbh o feel like animar is one of the strongest commanders for sea monsters. Dump a ton of them out for super cheap, and scales very well with up the beanstalk and similar effects
Very fun video! If I had to pick the next creature type, it would have to be Viashino! They need some love!
Now thats an interesting idea! Thanks!
This comment aged like milk. My condolences 😭
Cool video! Loved the intro!
Thanks!
My favorite thing to do with my Kenessos deck is to wordly tutor into something and play it
😳😳😳

Nice! Good luck with your deck building on kiora!

Good ideas! I like that idea on ways to win. I think for now on, I'm going to include that. Great imput!

Jalira is also a good commander. She can destroy tokens to pull out non-legendary sea monsters. Junk Winder is amazing in a Jalira sea monster deck.

That sounds neat! Love to hear it!
Amazing!!
Thank you!

love the eddeting! Id like too se a mefolk guide :D
Thanks! Ill put it on the list!
Cannot decide if dimir or simic
Nezahal is better to build as commander of his own deck.
I would agree👌
I wish there was a sea monster commander in sultai that is a sea monster
One day bro, one day
One day. Maybe if we complain enough
Any chance you could do a video on the spell slinging otter that just got spoiled?
Super tempted on that card. I find it so adorable! Will probably do one for it!
@PubStompMTG there's a shocking amount of people wanting to play a spell slinging otter, but with lutri banned we haven't been able to. I'll be VERY surprised if a video on this new otter doesn't do well
Ha I won my groups game with kennessos, and flooded with koma coils
Nice!🤙
Tecnical Nezahal isnt a dinosaur its a plesiosurus.

@@PubStompMTGso then there is no trouble using it in a seamonster deck:)
Any decklist ?
This is specifically a guide and not a deck tech
