Luca is the closest thing the Suiko series had to a supervillain. Even more so than Yuber, because while Yuber was clearly inhuman and had special powers, Luca was a mere human being with a regular ass rune and still wrecked everyone's shit harder than anyone else... from ANY country.
Even if your comment is old, it is worth saying that it is correct. Luca is incomparable. He is the most powerful normal living being ever shown in Suikoden. No one is able to face him in 1 vs 1 without possessing some nonhuman power or a True Rune. So I also see him above the Yuber level. Luca would certainly be many times superior to Yuber if he also had a True Rune. "It took hundreds to kill me but I killed humans by the thousands !!!! Look at me !!!! I am sublime !!!! I am the true face of evil !!!!" Hundreds = a fucking army ALONE!
Luca blight had strength that was pretty much unrivaled. only a a select few can even stand against him. yuber could definitely hold his own against Luca no problem. but actually there's one human man who can go toe to toe against Luca. The mighty and all powerful death blow Georg prime. Georg was always the strongest military general and soldier. but it is worth noting that Luca is my favorite villain. i just remembered there's another man that luca can not touch. his defense is to god tier .sir Humphrey alone with a fire-sealing rune could defeat luca in the battle i only used humprey for one of the units mind you you need fire-sealing rune and wind spun armor from suikoden 1 load out
Luca Blight... This Guy is so Badass... If you think about it... He isnt a Superpower Hero or something. Hes only a Excellent Swordsman with an Firerune... Killed thousends of People and you need also 18 Fighter and many Bowshots AND a Final Duell against him to smack him down...
what i love about him is that the most antagonists are killed at the end of he game as the final boss but this guy was so damn evil they had to kill him way before then, so epic!
Luca is like Vaas from Far Cry 3... He might not be the final villain but he sure did took the spotlight and is iconic to the series. I remember his boss battle was so epic that I thought it was legit the final fight... especially on the 1 v 1 *GOOSEBUMPS*
Luca Blight makes the Black Knight from Fire Emblem look like a teddy bear in comparison. His morality is nonexistent, and is replaced by the most vile of humanity's worst traits. Not to mention, he is tough as nails, and seemed nearly indestructible with how much it takes to actually kill him. ...and still taunts and laughs at you while he is dying.
The debate out the about who is the most badass bad guy often never even inclodue Luca Blight and often has Sephiroth from FFVII on top spot, to me, Luca Blight makes Sephiroth look like a pussy compares, yes Sephirot is evil, but Luca Blight is EVIL, hes character is so fucking well written, his backstory, the reason he became like this is due to pure emotions of something he witnessed. Luca Blight will allways be the nr one badass!
Furthermore, fans hates Sephiroth and labels him as the "best" bad guy for the traumatic death of Aerith... Funny enough that it was Jenova with Sephiroth's resemblance to slay Aerith lol
Hmm...if Luca Blight had his own storyline I wonder what it would be like~ Would he be the type that just grew corrupted (could be spoiled or always feel entitled lol) or him getting twisted by those around him to be a mad man or tired of people's depravity and used such cruel ways~
His mother was raped in front of his eyes by bandits, who turned out to be hired by the nobility of his own nation, and his father did nothing to them. He grew with the perspective that the world is one big jungle, either you are predator or prey.
luca blight one of the best villain ever made..... no backstories no nothing he just love to crap and shit on people and then kill them all..... best quote is in the ryube village "DIE PIG" DAMN......
well depens how you look at it? He witnessed a crime commited by thugs, hired by City State and it basically made him go insane, he therefore waged war and killed thousand of civilians and as you probably know from the game you find out he plans to release the Beast Rune on the entire world. In other words his hatred for the City State has gone beyond that. Him going to war for what he witnessed could be understandable, but not the pure executions of civilians. So he did do alot of wrong, but what he did was a result of him going insane.
@@kennethellseth6063 yeah , he saw his father run away for his own life while his mother got violated and killed in front of his eyes , pretty much anyone would go crazy if that happened
NOW FOR THIS TO BE IN FULL HD IN THE REMASTER! :D
u are right ❤❤
He is 1 reason why Suikoden 2 is so epic.
what an antagonist, just like that. almost perfect as one.

luca even don't use any rune, his fire sword were actually ignited from human flesh that he slew
He's the actual god. Beast rune got nothing on him.
what? I thought luca had the beast rune?

I love how someone so heroic-looking can be the literal worst human being on the face of Earth.
Luca is brilliant in every sense of the word.

Nah, no fire rune. How they theorized it had been from all the killing this man did? It caked on human fat and oils. The lightest sparks ignited it.
Just a mad man

You're comparing apples to oranges... Of course one is going to look vastly different when compared. A much better comparison would have been Kefka.
Fire emblem is just for a baby or otakus shit head.
To put this into comparison, Luca blight can be compared to someone very close to a goddamn chaos space marine from Warhammer 40k: edlegard
Luca is so op even without rune,Best Villian ever
I can hear his fire.... foaaaaaa...fooooaaaaaa
This battle was epic! Still my favorite part of the game.
He is a handsome highlander prince
Handsome face, ugly soul.

It's really hard to pick between him and Kefka...

When did this version play?!
This is part of the soundtrack of Genso Suikogaiden, the visual novel in which Nash Latkje is the protagonist.
Is this from the Suikogaiden games?
Suikoden II, one of the best rpgs of all time.
Nergal134 Suikogaiden vol. 1 of it btw
futureicon23 I'm not talking about the novel series, I'm talking about the main series, Suikogaiden was only ever released in Japan
Nergal134 i doube he does not knows that, rather, your comment had nothing to do with his question.
